MUCH more than just a ski cabin, our home was built as a primary residence. We have a large, luxurious, private home that provides the perfect blend of mountain home relaxation with all the luxury and amenities one could want. The 2500 square foot, 2002 built home boasts three downstairs bedrooms all with queen beds, sleeping six, and two full bathrooms (master bathroom has an extra-large jetted tub). The large upstairs bonus-room features a queen bed, single bed, plus lots of extra space for games, yoga, and even the TV/DVD/VCR & movies.
The gourmet, fully ready kitchen will impress any cook with its Viking gas range and double ovens. The open-floor plan with dining room (beautiful table seats 10) and living room that has soaring vaulted ceilings really encourages entertaining and connection. This light filled area has wood flooring, beautiful rugs, and exposed beams throughout giving it that warm, mountain feel. Plus the downstairs den and upstairs bonus-room offer additional opportunities for fun (or privacy). The impressive fireplace houses a wood stove which really pumps out additional heat. The home is only ten miles to the entrance of Crystal Mountain Ski Resort and Mt Rainier National Park (15 minutes to Mt Rainier's Sunrise entrance). A wide range of amenities are included: wi-fi, washer/dryer, stereo system, ping pong, foosball, fully-fenced backyard with fire pit, and board games. The White River is just a short walk away. There are walking/hiking opportunities within walking distance and many hiking/XC skiing/snowshoeing trails are just a short drive away. Our home is located in Crystal Village.

This was the perfect rental for a family ski trip. Our family (2 parents, 2 kids, 1 grandmother and 1 aunt) stayed for 4 nights and it couldn't have worked out better. It is perfectly set up for skiers-loads of hooks, and boot space in the front hall that made coming and going easy, and a quick drive up the Crystal. Lots of space to spread out. The layout puts 2 bed rooms at one end of the living room and 1 at the other end near the HUGE bonus room where the kids bounced around and slept. Wonderful wood burning stove, beautiful kitchen made apres ski comfortable and relaxing. Everything clean and in great working order. We're definitely coming back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad your families enjoyed your stay. We would be happy to host you again. Thank you!

The owner was very responsive and easy to work with throughout the booking process. And the home itself was beautiful, clean, and quite comfortable. It really didn't feel like a "rental" at all. We'll hopefully be back next year for another weekend of fun in the mountains!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mountain House. The house was very comfortable (and quiet!) for 4 adults and 5 kids. I think the photos don't actually do justice to the interior, it is very warm and attractively decorated, definitely a step up from the usual bear and moose-themed mountain cabin. Beds were very comfortable, everything was very clean and up to date. The owner took good care of us and had the house all lit and warm for our arrival after a long week of work and school. We look forward to our next trip, which we have already booked!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Thanks for bringing your families and the wonderful snow to Crystal! This was the best MLK Jr. weekend in quite some time.

Our family of 10 found this wonderful home to be a perfect getaway this last winter. It is close enough to Crystal Mountain that we were able to take a mid-day break from the mountain at home and then hit the slopes again. The owners were extremely accomodating and very professional. We saw many moose walking through the neighborhood right from the back door!! The living room fireplace was a family favorite adding wonderful ambiance to an already fantastic home. We highly recommend this house and can't wait to visit again!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Those were elk; guess they just looked like moose. :-) We look forward to having you back. Thanks

A group of us visited the Mountain Home over a weekend in August and had an amazing time. Everything you could want in a vacation rental and more. Fantastic amenities, great scenery, comfortable beds, plenty of space, the list goes on and on. We intend to visit this place again in the future! Ad is 100% accurate. Pics match, clean, well maintained. Overall a beautiful house on a nice piece of property. Plenty of hiking and other activities close by.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for your kind words; we look forward to having you return for more fun in the mountains!

We enjoyed the house so much we didn't want to go home - in fact, the last evening we called the owner to extend our stay a night! The interior is very well done: tasteful, warm, beautiful furniture. We were visiting in the summer and really loved the huge back yard. There is a fantastic fire pit in the back with chairs around it where I sat in the sun in the morning. The sun moved to the back porch's big chairs by the afternoon, perfect for soaking up some vitamin D with a book. We even had some elk visit the first afternoon! And after dark we were back to the fire pit to roast marshmallows and marvel at how many more stars we could see than in the city. We had a very nice walk to the river nearby as well. I highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Glad that you and the kids enjoyed Our Mountain Home. Thanks!
