Kona Paradise

Guest: Fay & Joe (Pittsburgh, PA, USA)
Date of Stay: 10/01/11 Review Submitted: 10/16/11

My husband and I recently spent 12 nights at this property during the Ironman event. The unit and property could not have been better. It was modern, clean, and fully equipped as described in the listing. The pictures in the listing do not do the property justice -- it's way nicer! It was fully equipped with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, and we never had to bother the caretakers for a thing. The caretakers of the property are wonderful -- very gracious and accommodating. They are available 24/7 but give you your privacy at the same time. The location was superb - about 3-3/4 miles from the town of Kona and a very short walk to Magic Sands Beach. The location of the property is in a gated community and very quiet, serene and relaxing. My recommendation is renting a car as it is really needed to get around and for sightseeing. The owner of the property was excellent at replying to my numerous questions via email or phone. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely return if I find myself in Kona again.

Great Location, Awesome Amenities!

Guest: Chimi (San Francisco)
Date of Stay: 09/20/11 Review Submitted: 10/03/11

My husband and I arrived around 7:00pm on a Tuesday and Janet and Tony were there to greet us. The place looks exactly as it is pictured - no false advertising. The location is very close to the main strip and about an hour and a half drive to the Volcano and a short drive to Captain Cook's. I loved the outdoor Kitchen and being able to borrow any of the gear for the beach was great. I would definitely recommend this to my friends, family and to any of you VRBO'ers out there looking for a wonderful stay in the Kona area.

Wow. what a wonderful stay we had at our private villa getaway. The description on the website is spot on, not a detail is missed. We just loved cooking in the outdoor kitchen and grilling the fine veggies and fish that the island has to offer. The villa has everything you need for the beach- umbrellas, towels, coolers, carry bags, boogie boards! The property is kept spotless. The caretakers, Tony and Janet, are so sweet and are there for you whenever you need but totally give you your privacy. Walking distance from beautiful sunset spots. Unbelieveble luxury for the price you are paying- SO AFFORDABLE! We are a young couple and were looking for a quiet, modern, luxurious place to stay on a budget and boy did we find it. We got engaged on our trip, and were just so thrilled to come back to our romatic getaway every day. The owner, Patricia, is so kind and helpful in answering your questions. I would recommend this property to a friend without a reservation, and will stay there again when we get then opportunity to return to Kona!!!!

Owner response:Aloha Amanda, Thank you for the kind comments. We love our guests and we also love giving our guests big impact for the price. I am happy you felt you received more than you expected. Come back again. Tony and Janet are amazing hosts that want to participate in making our guests holidays memorable. Thanks again, Patricia (owner)

Just what we were looking for!

Guest: Brandon & Emily (Turlock, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/30/11 Review Submitted: 08/10/11

As first-timers on the Big Island we were looking for something a little different than the typical condos that we were used to staying in on the other islands. We were torn between a few different options, but we definitely made the right choice in choosing to stay in this beautifully maintained villa. We were very pleased with the cleanliness, quality of facilities and the many ammenities provided...all for a very affordable price. We were grateful for the pool towels, beach umbrella and extra snorkel gear provided. The gated community was very quiet and peaceful and just a couple miles from everything. The location is also great for taking trips down south to Captain Cook or South Point, as it is easy to get right on the Alii bypass up to the highway. We also were very pleased with Tony & Janet, the current on-site caretakers. They were incredibly friendly and helpful and did everything they could to respect our privacy. They were always available if needed, but left us to enjoying the pool, courtyard and open air kitchen. This estate also comes with several friendly geckos. We had heard lots of stories about all the bugs on the island, but we really didn't have any problems with them thanks in part to these geckos! All in all we had a great time and would love to stay here again in the future!

Owner response:Aloha Brandon & Emily, Thank you for your kind comments and we are delighted that we "fit the bill" for making your Hawaiian Holiday memorable. Thank you also for mentioning our friends and caretakers Tony & Janet...they are so awesome and love our guests as we do. I am wondering if you gave names to our in residence geckos. They do have personality and work hard at their job. We look forward to your one day return and any friends or family that you encourage to come enjoy Aloha with us on Ho'omaluhia Road. We loved staying at your place, especially with the outdoor barbecue and kitchen. It was so relaxing after a day of scuba diving and being out in the sun, to just throw a sweet pineapple (freshly bought from the farmer's market) on the grill. We made dinner most days. We also especially liked the personal touches -- the homemade goods and the drinks in the room's refrigerator. We would definitely return and refer you to others!

Amazing Kona Villa!

Guest: Tri-Girl (Folsom, CA)
Date of Stay: 07/03/11 Review Submitted: 08/05/11

My stay at the Villa was truly amazing! It's conveniently located right off Alii Drive, where all the fun beaches are and access to great running, riding, swimming, snorkeling, and farmer's markets. Not far from downtown Kona either. The kitchenette in the studios were just perfect, anything else I needed I just bought at the store (several nearby). Island Naturals is a great place to shop & get a salad or wrap to go. It reminds me of a mini Whole Foods or local Co-Op. Rooms were clean and very nicely decorated, and spacious too. The pictures give a very exact representation of what you'd envision. The main kitchen area and atrium area was great too. I was able to put anything in the fridge and not worry about anyone taking my food. I saw the other guests and inn-keepers very rarely, and when I did they were all very pleasant. The inn-keepers were actually very helpful and welcoming, and also very respectful of my privacy and space. The only minor annoyance was the occasional ant here and there. So I simply used the Raid that I found under the sink and sprayed in my room and by my door. There were traps as well, but they weren't enough. That's Hawaii for you, bugs are pretty much a given. The beaches near the villa were great, & then further north to Waikoloa beach and Hapuna beach it's quiet and relaxing. Great snorkeling as well! It's only about a 30 minute drive, 45 if there's traffic. Kona is my new favorite island, and I would definitely stay at the villa again. Great price for all that you get, & amazing people to deal with!

Owner response:Amber, Thank your for your kind words and mentioning our lovely friends/caretakers that care as much about our guests as we do. They are "awesome". We hope you will return one day and become part of our repeat guests that we consider family. I am pleased you took full advantage of the properties many amenities. Patricia (owner)

AN ALOHA WELCOME

Guest: Bird Watchers (Meadow Vista, California)
Date of Stay: 03/15/11 Review Submitted: 03/26/11

We had a lovely time in your beautiful vacation rental. Ruth and David were very good hosts. The studio was very comfortable and we appreciated the wine, beer, cookies, brownies, banana bread, bottled water and popcorn . We particularly loved the birds and gordon and greta the geckos. I managed to see a couple new birds for me and walking up the road every morning we reconnected with many of our Hawaiian favorites. We definitely received an aloha welcome. Thanks so much for sharing your lovely Ohana with us. Mahalo

Home Away from Home

Guest: SCUBA Girl (Seattle, WA)
Date of Stay: 03/09/11 Review Submitted: 03/23/11

We recently returned from yet another wonderful stay at the villa. I would like to address the negative review below. Nowhere in the listing does Pat represent the rental as a whole villa. It is marketed as suites at the villa. The suites are absolutely accurately described and are even better than the photographs. If the guest thought she was getting an entire villa (at this price!) she deluded herself. As to the fans, yes you do need fans or the air conditioner to cool the rooms down after being gone all day (although a quick dip in the pool helps a LOT). But this is Hawaii and it is HOT. Once the sun goes down the suites cool off nicely and you can indeed sleep hearing nothing but the geckos and birds. If she had mentioned the noisy neighbors to Ruth and Dave they would have addressed it immediately. We've stayed several times and never had problems with noisy neighbors, but I know Ruth and Dave would have fixed this. I also know that Dave would have addressed the "squeaky" bed, though again, we never noticed it during our stays. Finally, as to the lack of privacy. I am sorry that she didn't like having to share the common areas with other guests. We have always enjoyed the opportunity to meet the other guests and have found them to be very considerate about not monopolizing the areas. Of course we are very active and don't spend all day at the villa, so maybe that makes a difference. As to Dave and Ruth being constantly around, the only time we ever see them is when they are taking care of the property (most of which is done very early in the morning) or when we have initiated conversation with them. We do this a lot as we find them completely charming and very good company. Ruth is an accomplished sculptor and Dave is highly intelligent and entertaining. They are also a font of useful information about the island. Our teenage nieces became very fond of them during our last visit as well. We are going to truly miss them. We've stayed at many different places on the Big Island and this is by far our favorite. We will never stay anywhere else when we are in Kona. You cannot find a better value or a more tranquil and luxurious setting. And you could not possibly find kinder more attentive hosts than Pat, Ruth and Dave.

Owner response:Dear Scuba girl, We are so glad that you were back once again. Your love for our property, our lovely care takers, and your desire to make sure inquiring guests get the true picture of our property is a snapshot of your own experience. Thank you for your candid comments. We truly desire, work hard at it, and love to bring wonderful and pleasant memories of our guests time on The Big Island. Patricia

Hawaiian style peace and quiet

Guest: Wannabe Hawaiians (Portland, OT)
Date of Stay: 02/07/11 Review Submitted: 03/21/11

We loved our stay in one of Patricia's Ohanas. We would definitly stay there again. It was a great alternative to a noisy resort or condo complex. Our suite was the smaller of the two, but it was still plenty of room for a couple. We prefer to spend our vacations to Hawaii outdoors so the private yard and outdoor kitchen were a great way to relax and enjoy being outside. There is no noise from the road or other turists, you may hear the occaisonal rouge rooster crowing in the early hours. We enjoyed speding our mornings drinking coffee and reading by the pool (which we ususally had all to ourselves) and afternoons at the beach or exploring the island It is a cozy space so you will need to spend some time being friendly with your neighbor in the other ohana but it is well worth it. During our stay there were two sets of guests in the other suite, both were respectful of our time and privacy. We even left groceries for each other when we had to return to the mainland. The caretakers were also very sweet people who were helpful whenever needed but respected our vacation time too. We are looking foward to returning.

Owner response:Aloha Ivy, We are so pleased you had a wonderful time. We agree with you, when in Hawaii why be inside? I am also pleased that you found the quiet and peace that you well deserved. Aloha and please return, Patricia

Better Than The Photos

Guest: Kool Sool (Seattle, WA)
Date of Stay: 01/18/11 Review Submitted: 01/26/11

What a wonderful surprise to discover this gem of a place to stay. This property is in a private gated neighborhood of about 12 homes, on a very quiet street just a few minutes walk to the beach. We arrived to discover yummy banana bread, cookies, brownies, popcorn and wine in our welcome basket! The caretakers are helpful (and even provided a sheet of restaurant recommendations), the room was clean (we had the smaller unit), the grounds beautifully landscaped, and there were so many unexpected extras. We loved being able to bring back leftovers and use the BBQ to do our own cooking. They have everything you would need for the beach and snorkeling. Each morning we woke up to no other sounds than the birds singing. We highly recommend this home and will return on our next trip. This place really is picture perfect!

Owner response:Aloha Shari, Thank you for posting a review, it is always helpful to future guests to have a candid viewpoint. We do hope you will return and thank you also for that wonderful adjective calling our property "a gem". Aloha, Patricia

A heavenly Big Island Ohana

Guest: Shelly (Sacramento, CA)
Date of Stay: 01/16/11 Review Submitted: 01/31/11

We loved our stay at your Villa ohana! The setting was fabulous: the birdsong, the pool and surrounding grounds, the lanai and outdoor kitchen, the oh-so-comfortable accommodations on the second story. We had comfort, privacy, views, nature right outside the window, and we loved the caretakers and the home-baked goodies. Our welcome basket was divine. Ruth and Dave made us feel so welcomed and relaxed. We're already talking about coming back again next year! Our first trip we stayed at Country Clubs Villas, and that was nice. But it wasn't "us." We're nature-lovers, looking to escape the cold and enjoy all the outdoors, wildlife and "aloha spirit" we can find. I give your guest accommodations an A+. We're Californians and we have vacationed everywhere in California (and Mexico and Europe), from ritzy hotels to private homes in Santa Barbara and Stinson Beach. Your ohanas are the most comfortable and best value we've experienced.

Owner response:Aloha Shelly, We are so pleased you enjoyed the Ohana and property. I am still cringing that we are fully booked for your recent request to return. Don't forget about us, or if you can adjust your schedule a bit. November is delightful. Aloha, Patricia

Review of #185800 Rental Property

Guest: Cindy (Seattle, WA USA)
Date of Stay: 12/02/10 Review Submitted: 01/29/11

We were disappointed to find the accommodations of this rental to be VERY misleading. Much had been advertised about the privacy & villa factor, when actually caretakers & other tenants were randomly around the property (hence minimal privacy) & our bedroom wasn't even contained within the Villa area, it was above the VERY HOT GARAGE! We had asked several times for verification that we would be staying in one of the two villas & was told that was correct.Loud fans had to run constantly, making sleep difficult. The bed squeeked loundly. Drunken tenants across the street woke us up, talking & yelling loudly & kept us awake at times during the night. It was obvious that our standards for rental properties exceeded that of this property & we believe that this mistake was made as a result of the misleading & over-embellished property description write-up. We did find the property to be clean & maintained, as well as close to nearby attractions/activities. We greatly looked forward to what was described in the property description & were disappointed when it was found to be a lower level accommodation after all. We would not return, nor recommend it to our friends, as our expectations were not met.

Owner response:Oh dear Cindy. You are our only guest that hasn't just gushed over their stay. This made me sad that your expectations were not met and that you chose not to communicate your needs directly with us. We love our GUESTS...and want all to be wonderful and seamless for their stay. We work hard to participate in our guests having a memorable time and never have over sold, nor need to, the beautiful environment created. Our home/villa was built for our extended family and we certainly created a 'villa' concept with everything facing into the beautiful courtyard pool with the desire that all our family would enjoy the property lay out, gathering areas and the unique privacy afforded them. You did indeed stay in one of our villa studio's. We actually lived in while we built the owners residence for a year...loving every minute of it. Having the property being used for vacation guests and family delights us as our 100% reviews and many other A+ experience not posted have given us much pleasure that "they have had joyful" stays on our private property, hosted by the most delightful couple imaginable. We also wish that you would have expressed a noise issue with a neighbor & squeeky bed. We would have immediately addressed the offending neighbors and have already administered a little WD-40 to the iron bed bringing correction. We have delightfully befriended the majority of our guests and have many returns along with huge referrals of others friends and family. We are sorry that we were clueless that you were not satisfied until you posted as we could have immediately addressed any issues and helped your stay be more joyful.

Guest: Ocean Girl (Denver, CO)
Date of Stay: 12/01/10 Review Submitted: 01/03/11

We spent 10 days at this wonderful property and loved everything about it!! The gorgeous house and landscape, the proximity to the beach (being able to walk to the beach each morning with a cup of coffee was amazing), the kitchen and patio (where we ate nearly every meal), the beautiful courtyard and pool as well as all the toys (snorkle gear, boogie boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, etc) on site. The welcome basket was delicious too! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood and felt very safe there. The hosts, Dave and Ruth, are fabulous! We will recommend this property to anyone visiting the Kona area and will stay there again!

Owner response:Haley, We are so pleased to have had you as guests. 10- 14 days is a wonderful amount of time to stay on the Kona Coast. So glad you came for 10 giving you time to really explore our fabulous Island. Come again soon. Patricia (owner)

Perfect Stay

Guest: SCUBA Girl (Seattle, WA)
Date of Stay: 11/05/10 Review Submitted: 11/19/10

Thank you so much Patricia, Ruth and Dave for making our anniversary trip a trip of a lifetime. Everything was so perfect. The room was spotless (and I am a stickler for cleanliness), the bed extremely comfortable, the grounds immaculate and gorgeous and the homebaked goodies delicious. We really appreciated all the extra touches such as coffee, cooking supplies and spices, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, even a cooler! We didn't have to worry about anything. Ruth and Dave are so welcoming and hospitable and very enjoyable to talk with. We enjoyed their company but also the fact that if we wanted to be private we could. The common areas were also clean and welcoming and the decor and landscaping absolutely charming. The pictures really don't do it justice. The location is also perfect. So close to Kailua Kona and to all the beaches, and yet completely private and tranquil. We heard nothing but the breeze and the birds from our room even when all of our windows were open. We have stayed several places in Hawaii but this was by far our favorite. We will be back! Thank you again for everything. Mark & Suzanne Murdock

The ONLY place to Stay in KONA

Guest: Love To Travel (Gig Harbor, WA)
Date of Stay: 09/01/10 Review Submitted: 03/04/11

We finally ventured across the ocean to beautiful Hawaii and discovered the ONLY place to stay while visiting Kona. We spent 18 days in Kona and were only able to stay 2 weeks of our stay in this amazing private Villa estate it was a bitter departure when we realized the condo we were moving to was in no way as wonderful as this private Villa. Our family enjoyed the spacious rooms - we rented both studio suites making for happy memories for our two teenage daughters who had their own private studio. We enjoyed our daily use of the outdoor living and kitchen areas along with having a private pool for swimming in. There was nothing better then getting up each morning and relaxing in the private outdoor living space as my husband and I read, answered emails and began are fun filled day. We were able to also cook the majority of our meals in the kitchen which was a great option for us. The location was perfect close to the best local beaches and shopping. The hospitality was amazing my teen daughters were even impressed with the beautiful welcome basket placed in their room and felt that extra care was given to be sure that even their stay here at the Villas was given priority. The rooms created to feel at home, the amenities were unbelievable we will ONLY stay here when we return to Kona.

Owner response:Aloha Trisha, Your teenage daughters are an absolute delight. Perhaps, I have a bias bent. You are always welcome and hope you will return. I give you an A+ in mothering too having such respectful and helpful daughters. Aloha and come for a swim soon. Mahalo, Patricia

Quiet and clean.

Guest: SMJ (California)
Date of Stay: 07/24/10 Review Submitted: 07/07/11

We spent a wonderful week in Kailua-Kona this June swimming and snorkeling along the south coast. It was very important to us that we have a quiet accommodation to relax and rest between venturing out to enjoy the area because our infant daughter was traveling with us and she loves to nap. This property was exactly what we needed. The studio was cozy, clean and comfortable. The owners went out their way to accommodate us. The Villa caretakers truly made us feel comfortable, and though present on the property (they live across the courtyard) they maintained our privacy. It seemed very important to them that we have the place to ourselves. Thanks! Most mornings or evenings we walked to white sands beach to take a quick swim. Breakfast in the open air kitchen and dine next to the pool in the shaded patio. Later in the day we'd drive to Two Step for incredible snorkel session, pick up fresh papaya and mango from a roadside fruit stand and then blend them up into smoothies back at the Villa...much later Kona brew by the pool after fresh Poke from an incredible fish market, which is right down the street. It exceeded our expectations and was accurately portrayed in its listing. Actually, the listing doesn't go far enough in describing what a comfortable and high end rental this is.I definitely recommend this property, but probably should keep quiet to keep it secret. We'll be back soon. Thanks!

Owner response:We are so pleased that your much needed rest and Hawaii holiday was filled with joy. We so love hearing how our guests enjoy the property. This is the first review for our brand new caretaker/friends Tony & Janet. They are so fantastic I can't wait to share your words with them. We look forward to your next "Aloha" holiday. Warm blessings, Patricia

Pat and I have stayed in many places over the last five years in Hawaii. This is our 6th trip in as many years. The place is hands down the best. Ruth and Dave have been outstanding hosts. they are gracious and helpful. The Villa is quiet, spacious and appointed with everything we needed for an extnded stay. We have been here for over two weeks with a week to go. We came with other friends who are staying in the adjacent room. even though we are just across the hall we feel like we have the villa to ourselves. Will definitely return. From the banana bread, to the privacy, to the short walk to Alii Drive it has all been beyond expectations. Thank you Dick, Patricia, Ruth and Dave for helping us to make a dream come true.

Away from the hustle & bustle of downtown Kona, this beautiful property is the perfect place to unwind and soak up the warmth of Hawaii's west side. We enjoyed eating under the large covered patio overlooking the pool, a morning walk to Magic Sands beach, and Pat's helpful advice on where to find some of the best local flavor.

We stayed here in April of 2009 and had a wonderful experience. The suite was beautiful - clean and well decorated. Patricia and her husband were delightful hosts - it seemed they were there when we had questions yet they gave us plenty of privacy. The location is wonderful - a five minute walk to a great beach. We highly enjoyed walking to the beach in the evening to play in the waves and watch the sun set. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to visiting again in the future.

We were ever so lucky to have found Patricia's lovely Villa. Patricia and Dick have gone to great lengths to provide a peaceful and charming environment. You will fall asleep to the chirping of friendly geckos and wake to the singing of the birds. They are located far enough back from Alii drive that you do not hear the rumble of traffic, but are close enough to walk to the beach. Dinner is just a short drive away. The studio is simply charming with a bed so comfortable you might never choose to leave. Trust me, the banana bread is reason enough to stay. We can not wait to return.

WHAT A SURPRISE

Kona Villa Rental My Wife and I found this cute Kona Villa Rental on Craigslist. I was skeptical because Craigslist can be sketchy, but we hit the jackpot on this Kona vacation rental! I don’t think it has a name, but it is a hidden gem! It is located inside a private gated neighborhood just off Alii Drive (the main toursty street in Kona) about 3 miles from the shops. The neighborhood is called Ho’omalu so I’m going to unofficially name it the Ho’omalu Villa. The Ho’omalu villa is a quiet, tranquil, romantic, beautifully decorated multiplex with a resort like atmosphere. Think Italian Villa in Hawaii! The property is a very cool U shaped multiplex with the owners on one side and two or three studio units on the other, with a nice pool in the middle. The actual room was way nicer than our other stay at the Royal Kona Resort or the King Kamehameha Hotel. It included a jacuzzi bathtub, kitchenette (sink, microwave, mini fridge) and a nice queen sized bed. Included is a washer, dryer, plus community grill and outdoor kitchen. Also free wireless internet! The owners even put toghether a nice gift basket with homemade bread and a bottle of wine. Here are a few other things we noticed: Extremly quiet- no road noise at all, only birds chirping Nice yard to explore Clean private pool Owners, very very nice. Beaches and snorkeling within walking distance

We loved our stay at this luxury studio in an exotic setting. Waking up to the songs of birds and the warm tropical breezes was just what we needed. It is a quiet place with wonderful amenities. We enjoyed fixing our meals and eating poolside with other guests. The owners are wonderful and friendly. We would definately return to this property.

WOW!! We had the best vacation ever!! We had a wonderful stay at the Villa. The perfect place for us. This place had everything we needed and more. We are early to rise early to bed so the quiet was great. We miss our morning and sunset walks to the beach. Hearing the birds sing, the smells of the tropics, the sun on our face. We will be back! Thank you Dick for the extras too!! The fresh fruit, fishing advice, just sitting and chatting with us. Patricia we must meet next time. Many Blessings!! Deb and Den Mursch

This was a wonderful place to stay while we relaxed in the warmth of the Big Island. It is new, clean, tastefully decorated and very reasonable in cost. We loved the pool kitchen and most nights, enjoyed grilling fresh fish for our meals there. There was usually fresh island fruit from the neighbors which was delicious! Also, it is extremely quiet there though quite close to Alii Drive. Loved hearing all the birds in the mornings. It was perfect for us! Thanks!

What a wonderful oasis. Close to everything Kona has to offer but away from the noise. Great hosts, beautiful accommodations! The freshly picked papaya from the property was a perfect start to our day. We have been to Kona many times and this trip was special because of where we stayed. Would we stay there again? Absolutely! The only thing we would do differently is to stay longer. Thank you to our hosts, Dick and Pat

I was hesitant to say anything good about the Villa. Reason: If too many people found out what a slice of paradise this is, there might be too much competition for my next stay!! Seriously, this property is more than what it claims to be. I have lived in Hawai'i and can say firsthand that staying here will put you in the "Aloha Spirit" the minute you go through the gates. Booking here is a can't miss proposition.

This place is absolutely wonderful! We stayed for a week... our hosts were incredibly nice and always available for questions/advice about pretty much everything; yet, we our experience was very private. The studio suites are clean and well equipped. The outdoor kitchen is a huge plus if you want to cook... huge gas BBQ also available. The pool is small, but perfect for catching some sun and taking intermittent dips to stay cool. The entire house is beautiful, very quiet and well located to beaches, restaurants etc. Really great for couples... All in all, very highly recommended.

This property is a wonderful getaway spot for visitors and locals alike. It is as beautiful in person as it is in the photos but they can't capture how quiet and relaxing it is. There is no noise to speak of either by the pool during the day or in the suite at night. It's so quiet, you hear the birds all day long. The amenities and welcome basket are all first class with a very comfortable bed and plenty of soft, thick towels both inside and out. The owners are friendly and helpful yet really give you all of the privacy you could ever ask for. We are already trying to find another chunk of time that we can spend there.

You will not find a more peacful setting anywhere. We recently spent a week in this wonderful guest house. The beautiful gift basket provided gave us such a welcomed feeling. We left California exhausted but returned totally rested. We attribute that largely to the time spent in our guest quarters. We will always treasure the quiet mornings spent reading by the beautiful pool and the relaxing setting that this villa provides. It is a wonderful contrast to the busyness of large hotels. Our time there was an incredible blessing and one we will always treasure. We highly recommend this to everyone looking for a wonderful, peacful get away.

My husband and I are on our honeymoon and were so thrilled to find a private, beautiful, relaxing place to stay. The decor is fabulous and so calming and after staying in 5-star hotels in Kuaui we would prefer this any day. Having a kitchen, pool, TV and DVD player makes you feel at home. We will be back anytime we stay on the Big Island.

This is one place you'll never want to leave. Perfect location, beautiful setting, and everything you'll need all wrapped up in one spot and whispering ~ relax. We especially enjoyed experimenting with local flavors in the kitchen and then dining poolside. Private and clean, clean, clean! You'll be tuned into island time as soon as you arrive. We'll be back!

A slice of paradise too good to be true. This luxury unit is a quiet oasis right off Alii Drive, close to our favorite snorkel beach, and right between downtown Kona and Keauhou Bay. We've stayed here three times and plan to return soon. We didn't want to leave the beautiful pool with outdoor kitchen and dining area steps away. Our unit was decorated better than any four star resort on the island! And clean, clean, clean... See you soon, Aloha.

This place is so great that I've been there 3 times already. It is quiet, beautiful, clean, and wonderfully decorated. The pool and lanai area are very tranquil. The amenities just can't be beat. There is just something special about arriving and having a well thought out Welcome Basket there to greet you. This place isn't a business it is a lifestyle of hospitality lived out by the owners. I can't believe that the price of these studios are less per night than the cheap hotels in downtown Kailua-Kona. Bring your friends and have a wonderful vacation.

I give it a "10"! The location can't be beat. I stayed 9 days and hated to leave. Clean, clean, clean and a welcome basket that you just don't see, even in 5 star hotels. Actually, this was better than a condo or hotel by far. Quiet, inviting and close to everything. I have it reserved for 16 nights in the fall.
