Our in-town location provides great convenience! You can walk to Blowing Rock's famous downtown Main Street where you can find restaurants, shopping, garden parks and a great recreation park for the kids. The condo features two master bedrooms, a quiet 3rd floor location, and plenty of nearby activities to please anyone. And of course there is always Blowing Rock's cool summer days at ~3600 foot elevation!
Each bedroom contains a full bath and queen-sized bed (mattresses & linens new in 2008). The master bedroom has new Kincaid furniture (including a vertical dresser and armoire) and TV. The second bedroom includes a 32 inch HDTV and original XBOX with DVD player. The living room's vaulted ceiling offers spaciousness that can only be had with a third-floor unit, a ventless gas fireplace, HDTV with DVD and a stereo with CD player. A fully stocked kitchen allows you to prepare your favorite dishes and includes a refrigerator with icemaker, smooth-top stove and Bosch dishwasher (appliances new in 2008). Also included are a microwave, toaster oven, blender and coffee maker.
The Royal Oak Condominium Resort's features a tennis court and charcoal grills. Please note: the tennis court currently needs re-surfacing and due to surface cracks is not suitable for "serious" game play. However, there are two public tennis courts a few blocks away in downtown Blowing Rock's Memorial Park.
The resort is less than one and a half miles to the Blue Ridge Parkway. From there you have easy access to the Parkway Craft Center at Moses Cone park (milepost 294.1) and its many miles of walking trails. Julian Price Memorial Park (milepost 297) is a few miles south on the parkway and offers a picturesque mountain lake and boating. Grandfather Mountain, with its famous mile-high swinging bridge, is about 15 miles south and also has a zoo and various mountain-top trails. A mile up Rte 321 is the Tanger Outlet Center and few miles up Rte 321 is Appalachian Ski Mountain and the Tweetsie Railroad amusement park. A little further is Boone, North Carolina, where you can find Appalachian State University (ASU) and a wide variety of stores and restaurants in its large commercial district.

My fiancee and I spent a weekend here in October to enjoy changing of the leaves (at least what remained on the trees following unusually high winds a few days before). The condo is beautifully furnished; fully-equipped with top-quality appliances, kitchen goods, and electronics; and well-stocked with replacement consumable goods. Conveniently located less than 10 minutes' walk to Main Street. We visited on busy Appalachian State Homecoming Weekend, and despite high occupancy in this condo community there was always ample parking with no noise or disturbance at all. Owner is very pleasant and refunded deposit immediately following our stay. Highly recommend this as an ideal place to stay when visiting Blowing Rock!

What a great 2 weeks in Blowing Rock! The condo was ultra clean, very well equipped, and loaded with all of the amenities you would need. And the location is perfect. It's an easy 6 to 7 minute walk from the condo to Main Street which we did several times a day. I would highly recommend this property!!!

Our family enjoyed the location of this condo rental. It is in walking distance of Main Street with all the restaurants and shops, as well as the park. We parked our car once and did not get back in it until we left! The condo was very clean and well stocked! The towels were wonderful, in abundance and plush! We especially loved the extra touches, like shampoo, conditioner and soap in the bathrooms. Also, tissue, toilet paper and cleaning supplies were on hand. This made our family not have to lug a ton of supplies with us. The bedding and furniture were new and clean and we felt at home in this condo! The owner was very easy to work with and quick to get our deposit back to us. We will definitely be back to this rental in the future!

This roomy condo is in an ideal location for access to Blowing Rock, Boone and Appalachian Ski Mountain. Exceptionally clean and tastefully furnished with all the comforts of home and then some. We rarely saw neighbors and our stay couldn't have been more quiet and peaceful. This has been our best rental experience in the NC mountains. Our time here made a great start for the Christmas holiday. We would love to return here again soon.
