Our condo is UNIT NUMBER 411 on the 4TH FLOOR in the DIRECT OCEANFRONT BUILDING. If you are on the beach looking at Shorewood, it is the direct oceanfront building on the left. If you are at the pool looking toward the ocean, it is the direct oceanfront building on the right. The condo is 1109 square feet.
Shorewood is located at 21 SOUTH FOREST BEACH DRIVE in the popular FOREST BEACH/COLIGNY area where you have restaurants, specialty shops, grocery stores, movie theatre, bars, minature golf, tennis, and the best beach on Hilton Head Island. Shorewood is a highly desirable gated and guarded oceanfront complex. Well-maintained exterior landscaping, attractive buildings, large oceanfront pool with huge deck area, baby pool, hot tub spa, and restrooms are at the center of the complex.
You step off the elevator a mere twelve steps away from our door. For your safety and convenience we have a smart keyless entry lock. Guests are given a unique personal entry code for the term of their stay. Upon entering our condo, you see the breathtaking view of the sandy beach and silvery ocean. When you catch your breath, look around at our gorgeous condo. Our condo's layout is unique. You will notice everything is new from inside the walls out. We have gutted and replaced plumbing, electricity, water heater, and heating/air conditioning. Renovations were completed in Spring 2008 and include travertine tile floors throughout, beadboard ceilings, and ceiling fans for keeping cool.
The living area has a huge picture window overlooking the ocean and sliding glass doors out to the large deck with bar-height seating for six. The living area has a queen-size Hekman/Woodward sofa bed and loveseat plus two arm chairs. Dad can watch sports or DVDs on the 40 inch 1080 LCD HD SONY television. Surf the internet or check you email with wireless internet service. For your convenience we have provided an inkjet printer.
The large (60" x 60") counter height gathering table has comfortable seating for six.
A true cook's kitchen with an island (with electrical outlet), new all-wood cabinetry, granite countertops, a stainless steel deep undermount main sink, and full-size stainless appliances assist you in preparation of that fresh seafood dinner. While preparing dinner you can watch the news on the 9 inch AUDIOVOX LCD radio/dvd/cd/tv undercabinet unit.
A full wet bar with 30 pound ice maker, antique copper sink, ice cold refrigerator, and filtered faucet complement the kitchen. Also, we have provided a wine rack and bar tools.
We have reconfigured the master bedroom with double doors. The master bedroom has a new queen bed, sidetable with drawers, armoire with three drawers, leather recliner, and a 32 inch LCD 1080 HD SONY television plus SONY CD/DVD player behind doors. The connected private master bath has a walk-in travertine shower, new all-wood cabinetry, granite countertops, and additional separate dressing vanity.
The guest bedroom has a large sunny window. We have redesigned the bedroom and bath to be completely private from the master bedroom. It has a new queen bed, sidetable with drawers, and armoire with drawers and a 26 inch LCD 720 HD SAMSUNG tv behind doors. The guest bath has a tub with travertine surround, new all-wood cabinets, and granite countertops.
There is a twin rollaway bed available. Linens are provided.
Wash and dry your beach towels in the evenings with a full-size Maytag High-Efficiency washer and dryer. HE detergent is provided.
While relaxing in the spacious living area or on the beautiful balcony, watch the dolphins play, enjoy the ocean ships as they come and go to the Port of Savannah, and see shrimp boats patiently catching supper. Be amazed by windsurfers defying gravity. Enjoy children building sand castles. Sip your summer cocktail and cherish warm Atlantic breezes. Hear faint sounds of live music from the local beach bar. We just returned from our week stay and could not have been happier... (well, maybe if we had stayed another week)! The location is PERFECT. From being directly across from the elevator to being convenient for walking to the Coligny shops and restaurants, and the Tiki Hut. And the pool and beach are only steps away- WOW! The view is AMAZING. The unit was spic and span and had everything you could want. Loved the fact that we did not need to take a key with us every time we left the condo-great touch! Would definitely recommend this unit and the owners. We are thinking about booking again for next year, possibly for 2 weeks.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

I was expecting a typical rental unit and can honestly say that I have never stayed at such a well taken care of and comfortable condo! This condo has it all - things that you usually do not see in rentals. No detail was spared. I highly recommend this place, and look forward to making this a yearly vacation destination. Sometimes pictures make a place look a little better than it actually is - not in this case! The pictures make it look immaculate, and indeed it truly is. This is the cleanest, most comfortable condo I have stayed at in my several years of going to Hilton Head Island.

We just returned from a week stay at 411 Shorewood. I can not even begin to decribe the wonderful accommodations and amenities. When we first walked in, I was delighted! The decor is beautiful and the view spectacular. The owners have thought of everything and went above and beyond by supplying many extras such as paper products, every size pot and pan, flat screens in living room and both bedrooms, state of the art appliances, comfy beds, linens and towels. The location is one of the best in the complex as it is close to the pool and beach. Coligny Plaza with all its shops and restaurants is a walk or bike ride away. It was truly a wonderful vacation. We would definitely stay here again!

We just returned from a week's stay in 411 Shorewood Villas (March 29-April 5, 2009). The condominium is just as it is described on VRBO. Everything was perfect. We walked to the restaurants and shops on Coligny Plaza, but enjoyed the peaceful ambience at Shorewood. We hope to return next year!

The perfect vacation home in the perfect location!! We stayed at this rental for 4 wonderful days in October and will definitely come back again. The entire rental process was very smooth. I rented this unit for five days and it was the one of the best vacations I ever had! Once you walk in it simply takes your breath away. The owners have everything you can think of provided for you. I was really impressed with how they make sure you feel like it's home. The appliances are all new and state-of-the-art. The decor is warm and inviting due to the color choices for the walls, cabinets, floors and furniture. And the view......it sells itself. It is the prime location in the Shorewood complex and you have the best view of the beach and ocean from your balcony, master bedroom and the living room. I never missed a sunrise or a sunset during my entire stay. I'm not a morning person so that says a lot about how beautiful it is. You don't want to miss it. The owners were friendly and very easy to deal with. The reservation process went smoothly. They even provide directions and a layout of the grounds to guide you. The area includes everything you can think of. We never had to drive anywhere during our entire stay. I will highly recommend this to anyone considering a vacation in Hilton Head. Thank you for making my trip so wonderful!

Stayed in this room over Labor Day and had a beautiful view and the condo was absolutely gorgeous. All of the comments that the previous person entered are so true. The ocean front view is unobstructed and you can even look to the side to see the pool area. The owners have REALLY done an excellent job renovating the unit and making the vacationer's feel very comfortable.

We just returned home last night and I couldn't wait to post my comments as I've never been more impressed with a property in all the years I've rented beachfront condos! First - it has the BEST unobstructed 180 degree view of the ocean and is steps from the pool, elevator, parking, etc. It is the most beautifully decorated and functional space you could imagine! The owners of this condo have thought of every detail you could want and not just the obvious ones. For example, there is air freshener in each bathroom along with liquid hand soap dispensers, the BEST shower heads and lots of water pressure! In the kitchen, a cheese grater and pizza pans, and the under cabinet TV made my man want to cook! Also, the softest towels, pillows and sheets that smelled so fresh! The big flat screen in the living room AND the bedroom were perfect. I could check email all day with the wireless internet too! Did I mention the view? The balcony is the best ocean-side place to eat on the island - no flies bother to fly as high as the fourth floor! The building is quiet so we slept like babies (you can see and hear the waves from your pillow :) and the pool is large. The ocean is 200 feet from the pool and you can BIKE in the surf (no steps on the walk to the beach to carry your bike up and down either)! I can't say enough about the kind owners of this condo. They were great to deal with and clearly spoil their customers so they spread the word and can't wait to return. I know every place else I've stayed before paled in comparison. I'm a picky person and when I find something that impresses me this much, I have to share it! BOOK IT TODAY AND TREAT YOURSELF TO AN AMAZING VACATION !!!!!
