This traditional Tybee haven has recently been purchased and redecorated. Savannah Sands is a dream come true for us and we are delighted to share it with you. The house is now available for nightly and weekly vacation rentals. If your group needs extra room, please know that there is a one-bedroom apartment available downstairs with separate entry and backyard. It sleeps up to 6 and can be viewed on vrbo #96574
The property has a lovely private shaded backyard with palm trees, water features, dipping pool, and a large hot tub. The private driveway can hold 2-4 cars. There is a refreshing ocean breeze across the property that comes with the changing of the tide, and you cannot beat the front porch in the afternoon.
A short three minute walk through the park and down the block takes you to the beach. There is a sturdy beach cart/wagon provided along with coolers and chairs. You just bring your beach towels and sunblock and you're all set.
The kitchen is fully equipped with blender, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, and everything else we could think of for you. There is a brand new wall oven and huge stainless side by side refrigerator. The table in the kitchen opens to accommodate larger families... as many as 12, and we've left lots of empty cabinets and shelves for your storage.
The large foyer allows plenty of room for suitcases when you come in the door and floor space for games and fun when you're relaxing. The foos ball table is a fun addition and you'll find a large selection of board games in the hall closet. The hall closet also houses extra blankets, pillows and linens for the queen size sofabed in the living room.
The first bedroom is decorated in a red, white and blue theme. Designed with kids in mind, these bunks will sleep six comfortably, and the room has plenty of extra space. The children's movie selection can be found in here along with an empty treasure chest for their most precious toys. Adults need not feel left out, as the antiques, patriotic theme and comfy beds will make any age want to extend their stay.
The second bedroom is furnished with the suite from my grandmother's farmhouse in south Georgia. The view from your window is of the palm trees outside and the park across the street. This room offers privacy for dressing and the perfect vanity table for your beauty routine while the hall bathroom is otherwise occupied.
The master bedroom is a beach retreat of blue and white serenity with a view of the backyard pool and hot tub. The private bathroom offers a large shower stall with a convenient seat for shaving and an adjustable shower head with long handle and hose for all that pesky sand. This room has a tall queen size bed with lots of fluffy pillows and wonderful light. You will actually be inspired to make the bed every morning.
The laundry room is off the kitchen, and that's where you'll find the ironing board and iron and spare coolers. TV, VCR, DVD and radios available in all bedrooms with the addition of CD player/stereo and video library in the main room. Bring your beach towels all other linens provided.

My family and I enjoyed our week at Tybee. because we have a large family, my wife and I rented 185906 and 96574. My family fell in love with the house the moment they stepped through the door. The pictures online do not do the home justice. We felt at home from the time we arrived until the day we left. The area is quiet which made it easy to relax and stay relaxed. We were in no hurry to do anything. All of our questions were answered in a timely manner prior to our arrival. With the park, the library, and the YMCA accross the street was a bonus. We visited the historical sights and restaurants on Tybee and we went to Savannah to do the same. The light house on Tybee was a big hit with my family. My kids told me that the beds kept them from getting up early because they were so comfortable. This was the best vacation/Christmas we have ever had so now we are looking at possibly making this a yearly thing for us. My family did not want to leave. I have made it a point to tell my family, friends, and coworkers about our stay.

My girlfriends and I live in Savannah but enjoy having a weekend at Tybee as a break from our daily routines (and responsibilities!). We rented this house 9/23-25 and enjoyed everything about it! The locations is great for beach access, as well as riding bikes around the island, but with the pool and hot tub, there were some girls who never even left the house! We hope to do it again next year!

We spent Labor Day weekend on Tybee Island for a ladies trip and the house was perfect. There was plenty of room to spread out and not be in each other's way. The kitchen was roomy, all of us could fit around the dining room table. The living room was lovely, we didn't spend much time there because the beach was calling our name! We spent lots of time on the screened in porch, enjoying the sound of the ocean. And the backyard with the pool, hot tub, and patio set was a great place to spend time as well. We had a little problem with wasps at the beginning of our stay but I called the owner who had her cleaning lady come by and take care of the problem. The issue was resolved in less than an hour, which was wonderful customer service. All the listing information for this property was accurate - the pictures are exactly what you get! While the house is a little further north on the island from all the "hot spots", it wasn't too long of a distance to get where we wanted to go. The beaches were wonderful and a lot of fun to hang out on. If you're in need of a beach chair and umbrella, there are plenty of rental places on the beach who will set-up your chairs for you. We enjoyed walking around the pier, shops, and restaurants. Since we were there for the Labor Day holiday, there were fireworks and band on the pier which was a great Sunday night activity. We were looking for a low-key, laid back weekend and that's exactly what we wanted. I would certainly book this property again and would also recommend it to any family member.

My family (my parents, brother, aunt, husband and our 2-month old son) all stayed at this house last summer. We rented the little ground floor apartment as well. We had a fantastic stay. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the decor is sweet and tasteful. The beach is just a short walk away. We spent many wonderful hours relaxing on the screen porch. We hope to return someday!

We had a wonderful time at this house. Not only was it well equipped, but the layout and decorations were all part of how comfortable we felt. We had a picnic outside next to the pool and spent time playing cards at the table on the screened front porch. My granddaughter and I enjoyed the porch swing, too. The rooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable. The easy access to both the beach and public parks were also a plus. We played tennis and volleyball across the street and my granddaughter really enjoyed the elaborate playground. My son went fishing and he and his fiance rode bikes that were there at the house. This house has a charm and a privacy we couldn't find in a condo! I highly recoommend it!

We had a wonderful time when my mother and I stayed here in June. Everything was thought of for all ages from toys and games to books and movies. We especially enjoyed the pool and hot tub, and I appreciated the Wi-fi so I could check my business email. The location was very convenient and the home was newly decorated and clean. Thanks for a wonderful memory!
