Upon entering this oceanfront condo, the lively and colorful surroundings completely immerse you in the culture of Mexico. Decorated with marble tiled floors and comfortable, casual furnishings, this condo is relatively new to the rental market.
The spacious master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and a marble bathtub/shower with a separate dressing area. Each morning you wake up and the first thing you see is a gorgeous view of the ocean. The guest bedroom has two full size beds. The guest bath has a glass block and marble step-in shower. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, a TV, and individual controls for the A/C. They are also fitted with screens so that you can enjoy the cool, calming ocean breezes that flow through in the evening.
Its location on the second floor (unit 203) affords you extra privacy not available on the first floor yet its private stairway gives you convenient, front access to the swimming pool. At the bottom of the stairs you will find yourself a few feet from the pool and a short distance from the beautiful white beach and brilliant blue ocean. The back door is just steps from the elevator allowing easy access for those who don't like stairs. The tiled terrazo is equipped with a table and chairs so that you can relax and enjoy your favorite drink while you overlook the pool and take in the breathtaking view of the turquoise Caribbean Ocean.
A 5 minute walk takes you into downtown Puerto Aventuras where you will find shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, an internet cafe, a Dolphin Discovery "swim with the Dolphins" center, dive shops, parasailing outfits and fishing boat charters. There is no need for a rental car if you plan to remain in Puerto for your stay. For trips outside of the town,taxis are easily found near the Omni Hotel.
The Villa del Mar 2 complex consists of only 32 condos. You will not encounter the crowds that are present in larger communities or all-inclusive resorts. The atmosphere is friendly and you will find the owners on site to be welcoming and very helpful.
The town of Puerto Aventuras is a gated community located just 15 minutes south of Playa del Carmen where you will find a lively nightlife, a wide selection of restaurants and larger stores such as WalMart, Sam's Club, Mega and Soriana's, the newest grocery store. Also nearby are popular attractions such as the Mayan village at Coba, the ruins of Tulum, Xel Ha, Xcaret, Zipline tours and ATV jungle tours, to name just a few.

Why the Owner Chose Puerto Aventuras
We chose Puerto Aventuras because it is a quiet, gated community. It is conveniently located near tourist attractions and Playa del Carmen where one can find large grocery stores, banks, restaurants, a lively nightlife and more. We are scuba divers and were drawn to the area for the local colorful reefs and close proximity to Cozumel. Don loves to fish and this area also provides great deepsea fishing. And above all, the weather year round is gorgeous!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
Unit 203 is a second floor unit offering privacy not found in a ground floor unit, however, a private staircase leading to the pool negates the need to use the public stairs or elevator at the back of the unit. The complex is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, fishing charters, scuba operators and the dolphin discovery. Villa del Mar II is the last commercial property on the southern end of Fatima Bay and, therefore, the amount of foot traffic is minimal.

Our interest in Mexico began many years ago when Tara was a Spanish teacher. For more than twenty years our family has been traveling to different parts of the country. We finally decided that the Mayan Riviera was our favorite spot and decided to purchase our condo there. Our future plans are to spend the cold Ohio winters in beautiful Puerto Aventuras.

Paradise – we used that word several times to describe our vacation!! Everything about our trip was awesome (except for the sunburn)! The condo was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. It was well equipped with all the necessary amenities. Although there is no oven, we certainly did not miss it. The stovetop, microwave and large toaster oven were more than enough for our cooking needs. If you are like me, I don't want to cook on vacation! The second floor unit provided extra privacy, but the stairway from the balcony to the ground level allowed for easy access to the pool and beach. The view from the balcony was breathtaking and the ocean breeze made for some pleasant sleeping. There was something for everyone to do -- relax around the pool, sit on the white sand under a palapa, take the kayaks out for a ride or snorkel in the clear blue ocean! It was a short walk into Puerto Aventuras where we had several restaurant and shopping options. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. The dolphins, seals and manatees offered entertainment for the entire family. We also enjoyed several evenings listening to the live music provided by some of the restaurants. Several tourist attractions are close by and it was easy to get a taxi. We enjoyed our trips to Xpu-Ha, Playa del Carmen, Xel-Ha and Tulum. We are definitely looking forward to our next visit!! Thank you to the owners for sharing this remarkable destination.

We stayed in this unit October 23 - November 6. The location can not be beat and the view from the balcony is stunning. A nice difference from other units is the stairs leading down to the pool area. The condo is well outfitted if you want to cook in. A real plus is that the beds are comfortable - not always the case in Mexico. If you are looking for a spotlessly clean condo in a great location this is the one!

There is nothing but beauty that surrounds this condo. The condo is so inviting and relaxing, the pool is absolutely wonderful, and the view of the ocean from the condo is breath taking. The sound of the Ocean when you go to bed is so relaxing and the beautiful sunrise that wakes you every morning is inviting. Thank you so much for allowing me to experience such an awesome place I will be returning soon!!

We just returned from a week at your lovely condo in Puerto Aventuras with our two children, 8 & 4. The condo is clean, spacious and beautiful. The complex has beautiful grounds and a great pool. The beach is rocky but the kids didn't seem to mind. We felt very safe and secure during our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit in Puerto Aventuras. The Oceanfront Condo is exactly as it is in the photos. The condo is modernly decorated and the colors compliment one another. The condo has everything you need for cooking and it is very clean. The room/bedrooms are spacious too. My husband and I stayed here with two young children (2 and 5 yrs)and they enjoyed it too. The kids loved having a balcony and stairs leading directly to the pool (which we went in daily). The beach is right near the pool and the kids loved playing in the sand and the waves. We also would walk to see the dolphins and have breakfast or lunch at one of the many restaurants. We loved the convenience of the condo in relation to Playa Del Carmen and many of the tourist attractions. We would recommend this place to families with young children as well as any age. We hope to visit Puerto Aventuras again in the near future. Thank you :-)

We had an amazing time in Puerto Aventuras. The Villa del Mar II, unit 203, was absolutely immaculate, beautifully decorated and had a great view overlooking the pool and beach. The pictures only do so much as it far exceed our expectations! The location was perfect. It was very quiet and within walking distance of many restaurants, the Omni hotel, and the marina. This was one of the most relaxing and most enjoyable vacations we've ever taken. There is no doubt that we will be back. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for an incredible place to escape, relax, and truly enjoy Puerto Aventuras! A huge thank you to Tara (owner) for being such a great source of information and to Rosa (property manager) for all her help in getting us settled.
