Upon entering this oceanfront condo, the lively and colorful surroundings completely immerse you in the culture of Mexico. Decorated with marble tiled floors and comfortable, casual furnishings, this condo is new to the rental market.
The spacious master bedroom has a comfortable king size bed and a marble bathtub/shower with a separate dressing area. Each morning you wake up and the first thing you see is a gorgeous view of the ocean. The guest bedroom has two full size beds that can be moved together to create a king size bed, if desired. The guest bath has a glass block and marble step-in shower. Each bedroom has a ceiling fan, a TV, and individual controls for the A/C. They are also fitted with screens so that you can enjoy the cool, calming ocean breezes that flow through in the evening.
Its location on the second floor (unit 203) affords you extra privacy not available on the first floor yet its private stairway gives you convenient, front access to the swimming pool. At the bottom of the stairs you will find yourself a few feet from the pool and a short distance from the beautiful white beach and brilliant blue ocean. The back door is just steps from the elevator allowing easy access for those who don't like stairs. The tiled terrazo is equipped with a table and chairs so that you can relax and enjoy your favorite drink while you overlook the pool and take in the breathtaking view of the turquoise Caribbean Ocean.
A 5 minute walk takes you into downtown Puerto Aventuras where you will find shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, an internet cafe, a Dolphin Discovery "swim with the Dolphins" center, dive shops, parasailing outfits and fishing boat charters. Taxis are easily found near the Omni Hotel.
The Villa del Mar 2 complex consists of only 32 condos. You will not encounter the crowds that are present in larger communities or all-inclusive resorts. The atmosphere is friendly and you will find the owners on site to be welcoming and very helpful.
The town of Puerto Aventuras is a gated community located just 15 minutes south of Playa del Carmen where you will find a lively nightlife, a wide selection of restaurants and larger stores such as WalMart, Sam's Club and Soriana's, the newest grocery store. Also nearby are popular attractions such as the Mayan village at Coba, the ruins of Tulum, Xel Ha, Xcaret, Zipline tours and ATV jungle tours, to name just a few.

Why the Owner Chose Puerto Aventuras
We chose Puerto Aventuras because it is a quiet, gated community. It is conveniently located near tourist attractions and Playa del Carmen where one can find large grocery stores, banks, restaurants, a lively nightlife and more. We are scuba divers and were drawn to the area for the local colorful reefs and close proximity to Cozumel. Don loves to fish and this area also provides great deepsea fishing. And above all, the weather year round is gorgeous!
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Unit 203 is a second floor unit offering privacy not found in a ground floor unit, however, a private staircase leading to the pool negates the need to use the public stairs or elevator at the back of the unit. The complex is within walking distance to shopping, restaurants, fishing charters, scuba operators and the dolphin discovery. Villa del Mar II is the last commercial property on the southern end of Fatima Bay and, therefore, the amount of foot traffic is minimal.

Our interest in Mexico began many years ago when Tara was a Spanish teacher. For more than twenty years our family has been traveling to different parts of the country. We finally decided that the Mayan Riviera was our favorite spot and decided to purchase our condo there. Our future plans are to spend the cold Ohio winters in beautiful Puerto Aventuras.
