After 10 days of hotels and condos, we found our stay at Mana Falls to be completely relaxing and casual. Our hosts, Tony & Michelle, were easy going and very helpful in deciding what and where the best sights were on Kauai. Michelle's banana bread is not to be missed. For a cost effective and change of pace stay on the islands I give Mana Falls a huge thumbs up.

This was a cute cottage with all the amenities as described. We didn't see any waterfalls from the cottage itself (depends on rain level), but we took the short drive and hike to No Name Falls, which was a treat. We rented a Jeep and explored all over the island. Kapaa was a nice home base, central, and close to lots of restaurants. We made good use of the guidebook in the basket next to the couch and visited different beaches every day. Our favorites were Poipu, Anini, Tunnels, Ke'e, Malehepu, and Secret Beach. Beware of crowing roosters every morning--they are a nice reminder that you are on vacation from city life. We left the windows open most of the time, and the breeze was enough to cool us during the winter. Thanks for the welcome presents!

This tiny 1 bedroom cottage up in the hills of Kapaa was the perfect homebase for our exploration of the island of Kauai.Centrally located and near to town, everything was a quick drive away. Having a kitchen saved us a bit of money on meals, internet connection worked great, and the nightly rains of winter lulled us to sleep. We stayed with our 6 year old daughter, and the owners provided an air mattress and sheets for her. Having a bathtub was nice in addition to the shower. The extra space of this cottage helped us feel relaxed, since we could feel safe and spread out our belongings like it was home. Beach towels, coolers, snorkel gear, and friendly advice is included with this property! The welcome gifts were also a nice touch. We traveled nearly every road on this compact island, took a tour by boat along the NaPali coast, and a helicopter ride over the areas we could not drive to. The boat trip was very rough, December may not be the best time to ride the seas! The helicopter ride was incredible, not to be missed. Driving to the North Shore and around to Waimea Canyon are also scenic, relaxing, and not too far. We took a private wild adventure tour with a local to learn about wild edible foods growing on the island, and he took us to a somewhat secret, local beach along a steep path. If we return to Kauai, we would love to stay here again!

We can't say "Thank You" enough to Michelle and Tony. Staying with them really was like staying with family. From the comfy cottage to the fresh baked banana bread we felt very well taken care of and left to our own devices all in the perfect amounts. Tony is an expert surfer and he patiently gave us a SUP lesson one afternoon. He had my wife up and paddling in less than 5 minutes. Michelle welcomed us with treats and really gave us some great info on where to eat on the island. It was almost like we got our own personal tour guides. Next time we come to Kauai we are definitely staying here. The Cottage was spacious and well appointed. Their property is beautiful and has plenty of space to where you don't feel like they are right next to you. Overall we think it's the perfect amount of privacy for such a place. Thanks guys for the hospitality and making our vacation as close to perfect as you can.

We enjoyed our honeymoon in this beautiful little cottage. It was really cozy and perfect for two people. We loved the fruits and the bread and going paddle boarding. We also enjoyed Tony and Michelle's company. They gave great tips about where to go and very personable. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay.

We loved the beaches in Kauai but this place felt like a paradise off the beaches of the island. The place was better than a hotel and perfect fit for a couple or a couple with a child, like we were. The fresh avocados from the garden were tasty as any tropical fruit that we tasted on the island. The papayas were juicy and sweet and the views in the morning from the porch were awesome. Thank you Michelle and Tony.
Owner response:Thank YOU for being great guests! Hope we get to see you again and good wishes on your future travels! aloha nui loa, Michelle and Tony

Mana Falls was definitely our Gem and Gold Brick (reference to the Kauai Guidebook) of VBRO's to date. It is a beautiful, new cottage with all the amenities one needs for a relaxing vacation. It was nice to leave the tourist bustle of the north shore and retreat back to our cottage surrounded by nature. We were able to cook dinner most nights, thanks to the wonderful, local Farmer's Market located just down the street from the cottage. It's the best farmer's market on the island. The hosts, Michelle and Tony, were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Tony can teach just about anyone how to paddle board, which was a highlight for our trip. I'd recommend this cottage to friends, family, and just about anyone going to Kauai who wants to truly experience the island. We'll definitely be back soon.
Owner response:Many blessings to you Liz & Scott for the very kind words! We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves here and hope we do see you in the future! Mahalo nui loa!

We had a wonderful stay in your beautiful cottage! It felt like home! Thank you for the banana bread, it was delicious! We enjoyed hiking along the NaPali coast and searching for rare endemic birds in the Alakai Swamp. We saw at least 15 species of fish snorkeling at Poipu. We had quite a bit of rain, but the rainbows made it worth it. Thanks again for your hospitality!

The location is great and provides easy accessibility to all points of the island. Thanks for all of the info on beaches, hiking and kayaking. The bike path in Kapaa is fantastic and provides awesome views. We were fortunate to have a "full moon" walk our last night on the island. The welcome basket of fruit and bread was outstanding and gone by our first morning! Again, thank you for a memorable vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was very quiet, no traffic, & the roosters didn't bother us. We covered a lot of territory, the hiking was awesome. We loved the farmer's market & couldn't have eaten more fruit if we tried. We had to leave this brochure for zipline because we had so much fun doing it. Unfortunately we have to leave this beautiful island with the perfect climate. Hope to return again. Thanks for your hospitality.

We had the good fortune to find this rental completely by accident late last February before a trip to Hawaii. Michelle and Tony could not have been more helpful or welcoming. We stayed in the smaller rental located in their lovely home. It was absolutely spotless and very enjoyable. Tony and Michelle are wonderful hosts even sharing extra fruit with us and we will definately try to stay here again if ever have the opportunity to visit Kauai again

Whatever we write in this book cannot truly reveal our feelings of sheer joy at this wonderful "home away from home" cottage. Its central location is just perfect for touring this picturesque island, the views and the tranquility(give me roosters over cars anyday!) are second to none. Your hospitality allows all these ingredients to come together to make one's stay unforgettable and we will definitely be back. There is so much left to explore. Mahalo to you all & see you again!

Thank you for let us stay at your beautiful cottage. This is a wonderful base camp for all activities on the island. From a swim at the Queen's Bath to the Waimea Canyon and many falls, the beaches, and some shopping, we've seen a lot. Roosters did not bother at all and we saw a wild boar-really-close to Wailua Falls, swam there, too and that was something! Mahalo

Thank you for the beautiful little cottage to rest our weary bones these last few days. We had a wonderful time at your place and on Kauai! Thanks for the tips on where to eat in town, too. Great pizza place! Also the trip to Na Pali was simply superb- a great organization took us there-North Shore Charters. They are out of Kilauea and the boat sets out from Anini Beach. Not for people with back problems or pregnant women, but great for those with a need for speed, a curious mind and a hunger for beauty!
