Welcome to our beautiful bungalow in the rainforest of Manuel Antonio! Manuel Antonio National Park is the only rainforest in Costa Rica located right on the Pacific coastline. Our bungalow is only 3 km from the National Park - an easy five-minute bus ride or two-minute drive. High atop the mountain between Quepos and the national park, we are located just off the main road in Manuel Antonio so the location is quiet and peaceful.
The home is located on a 1/2-acre lush forest property that backs up to a nature preserve. There's no crowding of structures to interfere with enjoying your private space. Hibiscus, banana, avocado and the protected Guanacaste are just a few of the trees on the property. Capuchin and red-backed squirrel monkeys frequent the trees less than five meters from the patio. Hummingbirds and blue morpho butterflies love all the many flowers.
The interior of the home is open and inviting. Striking native hardwoods accentuate the bungalow in the master bedroom loft floors, its support beams and kitchen island and countertops. The exquisite hand-carved queen bed is flanked by a spacious bathroom on one side with an oversized shower and great view, and a walk-in closet on the other side with plenty of room for clothing and souvenirs. Cool neutral tile covers the main floor which appears to continue right through the mammoth sliders to the elevated patio. Subtle recessed ceiling lighting is found throughout the home along with designer indirect floor and table fixtures. All furnishings are crafted by local artisans and are made from rich local hardwoods and in keeping with the beauty and feel of Costa Rican tradition. An exceptionally equipped kitchen invites dining-in when not enjoying the many restaurant options nearby. Remote controlled A/C affords a welcomed retreat after a day at the beach or hiking in the forest. Or simply turn on the ceiling fans, open the doors, and let the fresh breeze flow.
The goal of this property is to create a private sanctuary. Whether you're into surfing the legendary waves, taking in the diverse wildlife, hiking the national park trails, some of the best fishing in the Pacific, or just relaxing on the beach --- coming back here is well worth it.

- This bungalow is set in the beautiful, natural jungle with many banana trees, hibiscus, and other flowering plants. There is a large avocado tree and pejibaya tree just off the elevated deck. Huge sliding glass doors and large windows show off the mountain and rainforest surroundings. White faced monkeys, squirrel and howler monkeys feed and inhabit the lush vegetation. Dozens of butterfly and bird species abound. Early morning coffee on this patio is a tranquil and peaceful experience.
