Our stay last week @ Pirate's Cove was wonderful! The views were breathtaking, the Pirate's Cove complex was more than we expected! Privacy, security and peaceful moments awaited us at Pirate's Cove. Your condo is beautiful and like a home-away-from-home atmosphere where everyone is friendly and welcoming. The condo itself is clean and inviting and all of the essentials you need are there. We went with our daughter & son-in-law and had the best time! We will definitely be back. Thank you Joe & Mary for sharing your beautiful seaside condo with our family.

Perfect Spot

Exactly as pictured, this lovely condo was a perfect fit for our family of 4, and our four-legged companion. Minutes from Conquina Beach and ANYTHING you could possibly need during your vacation on the Outer Banks. Lovely pool for after-beach swims and lots to do for the whole family on-site. The condo was perfectly appointed, very clean and quiet. Friendly people live and rent at Pirates Cove and the owners of this unit are terrrific to deal with. We stayed in June of 2011 and would definitely recommend and return.

Beautiful Views!

My husband, I and another couple recently spent a week vacationing at this property. It was a GREAT location (3-4 minute drive to Coquina Beach - our favorite OBX beach). There were miles of dock walking on site. The pool was also a positive. We also walked to the on-site restaurant and had drinks in the evening (the restaurant's entrees aren't the best but there happy hours drinks and appetizers are great). However, the BEST part about this property is the view of the sound/water! When standing in the living room you have a panoramic view out the windows of nothing but water! We saw dolphins swimming there twice during the evening hours. The deck is a great place to sit, relax, and enjoy the view. The other great thing about staying here is you get away from the hustle and bustle of Nags Head/Kitty Hawk. You are only a 4 minute drive from the beach and 4 minutes away from a grocery store (downtown Manteo)! You stay away from the craziness and really get to relax. The downtown of Manteo is also a great place! We spent an afternoon walking around Manteo. Be sure to eat at Striper's - GREAT food and happy hour deals. The owner is amazing and very helpful! Probably one of the best I've dealt with. We brought our dog and it worked out great (lots of area to walk the dog). The only complaint we had was that the trash disposal had been broke (before we got there) and it left some undesirable smells in the kitchen area. I know that is a small, easily fixable complaint - there really weren't any other negatives! Such a great place to stay! I highly, highly, highly recommend this rental!!!!!

Hidden Treasure

We rented this beautiful condo in April 2010. The view is amazing. The condo is clean and modern. My kids loved the bunk bed and TV in their room. The master bedroom was relaxing and inviting. We enjoyed walking the numerous docks, feeding the ducks and watching the boats. If you are looking for a new, modern, clean, affordable condo, this is it. The owner was wonderful to work with as well! We plan to come back next year!

Had a great time the weather worked out to be nice in the mid 70's to 80's ,made some great memories with my elder parents at your condo . The facility was more then I had dreamed of! My father uses a wheelchair and walker and the space was terrific for him to remain mobile in the condo on his own.We have made great memories and hope to be back next years to enjoy it again .Thanks again for allowing us to use you home for a few days while at the beach.

What a wonderful place to stay! The condo itself is beautiful, and the views from the deck are breathtaking...we even saw dolphins frolicking in the water. The nearby beaches are spectacular..and free!

The owner of this condo was a delight to deal with. Very easy. We stayed a few days, but definitely would have loved to stay longer. The views out of the windows are amazing. You feel like you are surrounded by water the minute you step into the condo. We observed dolphins in the sound. Wonderful! My kids enjoyed it, we enjoyed it. Would definitely stay here again!

We rented the condo for two nights in February. We arrived late Friday and we pleasantly surprised with the size of the condo, very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Then we woke up on Saturday morning to a beautiful sunrise view from the master bedroom and living room. The condo is fully equipped to keep everyone in the family happy (5 yr old boy, 10 yr old girl). The kids enjoyed the playground and we thought the pirate cove complex was very well maintained and neat. Very close to everything as well. I would definitely recommend this rental.

My husband came to spend a week in September 08. This place is just beautiful, great views, we watched dolphins from the porch, and loved long walks on the pears. We've been coming to the Outer Banks for about 20 years and this place was a special treat. The grounds are beautiful, the elevator is great, pet friendly everything was just super nice, we'd love to come back soon.

Views are beutiful from all windows in this penthouse of a condo, such a treat, this is are real treasure. LOVED our week down here. Miles of docks to walk in this beautiful pet friendly community, so much fun. Huge pool, close to everything fun in the outerbanks. Loved it we'll be back 9.10.08 - 9.17.08

Joe, we had a great time and wouldn’t change a thing.You could very well have THE best views of any condo at Pirate’s Cove.What a great facility and location. It has my wife and I thinking that just maybe one day when the kids are done with college that we’d like to live in Pirate’s Cove.Thanks for sharing your place with us and we’ll make sure to reach out to you about a possible rental when we visit again, because we’d love to return to Manteo and BV936!

MY husband, our little girl (in a fur coat) and I have stayed at this condo two times during off season. It is absolutely beautiful. The view from the condo is outstanding. The decor is so beautiful that you truly know you are on vacation. While we visited during cooler weather it was so nice to cuddle up and just relax. We are going down again--this time from June 28th until July 5th. I can hardly wait. The owners are fantastic to work with. And the elevator was especially helpful due to the fact that my husband had a stroke six years ago and I have arthritis. You will truly enjoy yourself--do not hesitate to book this property.

Hi Joe : Wow , what a nice place you have! It was one fun week my dad & I had. Everything went great without a hitch. Had a good time fishing & had many great meals. We did not use the washer/dryer or the dishwasher. My dad only used the stove to heat water for his tea.The fridge was used for milk & pop. We used the microwave to make popcorn. The rental unit was everything we wished for. The view is great & the amenities are superb. The location was ideal for us. We hope to return next year if your unit is available , we feel privileged to be the first renters. If you need us for references we will gladly attest our satisfaction with the rental. We had such a good time we are considering going to the outer banks maybe 2X a year instead of 1. Thanks for everything & much success for your family and your great property. The Nicholsons
