We had an enjoyable week at this condo. It worked out well for our daughter & son-in law & our two grandchildren - we each had our own bedrooms. The unit was clean & well equipped. Nice sitting area both inside & on the outdoor balcony. Nice being right on the beach & easy to get to. Being on the second floor was very convenient for up & down - although the grand kids couldn't get enough of the elevator. Shopping was close by. There are plenty of restaurants to chose from between Orange Beach & Gulf Shores. We didn't have a bad meal out. We listed the restaurants in the guest book. Gulf State Park golf course is close by - I got one round in. Green fees are reasonable & it's well maintained. New zip line attraction just opened at Gulf State Park (this separates Orange Beach from Gulf Shores). Grand kids enjoyed miniature golf & the go carts in Gulf Shores.

Loved our visit to this condo. Very comfortable, nicely equipped, and clean. The balcony is really big and the view of the Gulf is great. We watched the sunrise-it was this fiery orange ball coming up out of the water. It was spectacular. Don't miss it. Couldn't be any closer to the wonderful beach. Enjoyed the heated indoor pool and hot tub-it was still too cold to go into the Gulf water. Very impressed on how well the whole Pelican Pointe complex is maintained.

Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway.

Our visit to this Pelican Pointe condo could not have been better! It was so tastefully decorated and had every amenity we could have possibly needed. The view was spectacular and we could see and hear the waves crashing from the balcony. All three bedrooms had the most comfortable mattresses and that was a real plus! The guard at the gate was so friendly and made you feel so safe. Us four lady cousins frequented the indoor pool, jacuzzi and exercise room (well 2 exercised and the other two watched them from the pool...ha) We had an awesome time and would rent again and again from Dianne. She was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend renting from her to everybody I know. She sent an informative packet with our reservation with everything we needed PLUS her recommendations of great places to eat and things to do. I could not find one thing we were lacking during our visit. Her pictures were so accurate but don't really do it justice. It is so much better in person. There were grocery stores within walking distance. It was just perfect! Thanks again for the Great Week!!!

I've rented from Diann several times, but this is the first time at Pelican Point. Absolutely love the condo... of course her beds are already so comfortable. The pools were great. My grandsons had a blast in the kiddie pool. That was a plus with Pelican Point. Most of all, Diann is the most awesome people to deal with. She made my Family Vacation the best ever despite Hurricane Isaac. I will never rent from anyone else. Already decided on my weeks, yes weeks, that I going next year... Yeah!

What a great week in Orange Beach with my mom and her 85 year old cousin at your condo. We each had our own bedroom and found everything to be just great. The stairwell right outside the second floor was very convenient to the parking area which they enjoyed even though there are also two elevators at the property. Everything was decorated nicely and we spend a great deal of time on the oversized balcony - playing dominoes each late evening. I could go to the beach or pool and go back and forth very easily without it being a LONG trip. We enjoyed the new grilling area by cooking steaks and burgers on two different days. The security was great and our overall experience with this owner was SHE DID EVERYTHING SHE SAID and tried to make it as easy as possible for us as her guests. We will definitely be calling Diann back for future Orange Beach stays. I have never been on the second floor of a condo before and thought I might miss being up higher but actually I liked it A LOT!!!! Thanks! We are just praying Isaac has left the beaches as GREAT for Labor Day as they were before. Our week there was just perfect.

We just returned from staying in your unit yesterday! What a wonderful time we had! Your condo was warm, inviting, and comfortable! We hated leaving and are counting the days until next summer! Expect a call from us soon, to book our week next summer!

Owner response: No one ever wants to leave Pelican Pointe...the sun and sand and seafood. This is a typical response from my renters and why I have a HIGH return rate. I have many families that choose their special week and return year after year.

We had a ball! Great location! Close to grocery shopping and eating! Pools are fabulous (kids loved them). Plenty of room for all of us (we had 5 adults and 3 children). We have already booked for 2013!

This was a wonderful vacation "home" with all the comforts and necessities we could want. There were only good surprises waiting for us. There was plenty of room for a three generation get-away. The owner was most helpful with all the information we needed to have a fun stay. We will certainly go again.

The weather was high 70's the entire week - several clouds one day but NO RAIN! Our favorite adventures were: the beach, taking walks, enjoying each others company, walking to get frozen yogurt at Yogurt Plus, and just enjoying the condo. We loved the Dauphin Island Ferry, Fort Morgan, and Dolphin Adventures. Can't wait to book the condo for longer than one week. We loved watching the sunrise on the beach while the waves were splashing on our feet. The long walks on the beach were wonderful. Best accommodations EVER. The condo was clean, stocked better than any other. Master bedroom sheets were wonderful!

Thank you for providing such a restful retreat to escape to during spring break. Everything from start to finish was first rate and we all enjoyed hours on the beach and reading on the balcony. My traveling companions especially liked the picture of your golden retriever as the left their two "babies" at home. We could not have wanted anything more! You are truly a hostess of the highest magnitude. We all hope to return again.

We found sparkly sand! If you go where it's really dark and run your hands through it fast it sparkles! Hanging out on the beach all day was really fun! Parasailing was quite the adventure - we definitely recommend it!

Tropical storm Lee greeted us with boiling surf and amazing wind and rain...after that it was sunny & perfect. Our favorite activity - BEACH...BEACH...BEACH Our granddaughters ages 1 & 4 were happy there was a Build-a-Bear at the Wharf. This was a great condo! Thanks for sharing.

The weather was great. Our favorite adventures were going to the beach, kids loved the pool, went to have beach family photos taken by Brittney Rush Photography - great - would recommend! Our kids loved looking for seashells and building sand castles. It was a fantastic and relaxing week to enjoy time with the family. This is a nice town - we enjoyed Orange Beach and the food. This condo is the perfect place to be - 2nd floor - perfect beach view - so easy to walk right down and step onto the beach. It doesn't get much better than this.

This was our 3rd year to book with Diann and our 2nd year in a row to stay at Pelican Pointe. This was our best vacation ever! So relaxing! The condo is perfect. So great to be able to sit on the balcony and check on the kids below at the pool. Also, the second floor is the place to be! Easy access to pool and parking without having to wait on the elevator. Security guards here are also so nice and do a great job. Thanks Diann for always being so AWESOME and easy to work with! -Annette

My wife and I stayed at Pelican Pointe the first week in May. The weather was beautiful, the beaches pristine, and the accommodations were outstanding. Obviously, we were a bit concerned with the previous year's oil spill but were pleasantly surprised to find the beaches in better shape than the year before the spill. We have stayed at this condo two straight years and plan to make this our spring vacation spot for years to come. We decided to drive the entire night a couple of days before and since we arrived early Diann was able to get the unit ready for us ahead of schedule. That meant more beach time for my wife and our two year old son. All of the good restaurants are close by and there is plenty of shopping in case you need to pick something up during your stay. We would recommend this condo to all...you won't be disappointed.

The weather was absolutely beautiful. Enjoyed seeing the grand kids squirt water at each other and their Mom and Dad laugh so hard. Our favorite activity was the beach - as always. We love looking for shells - so laid back and relaxing. Wish we could stay forever. God created such a beautiful place and we feel closest to Him when we're here.

Friends asked us to join them on a vacation this spring. The search led us to Pelican Pointe. We had a wonderful vacation! The condo was perfect for 4 adults, 1 college student, 2 high school students, 1 middle school student, and 1 elementary student. There was something for everyone to do at all times. We loved being so close to the beach! The indoor pool and hot tub were great for when it rained. We spent lots of time on the huge balcony. Diann is awesome! She is easy to contact and will help you in any way possible. I hope to return to Pelican Pointe again soon.

I have to say that in all my years of vacationing at various places across this country, I have never had a property owner provide so much hospitality and genuine concern for their customers. It's almost unbelievable to me. On our first trip to Orange Beach we fell in love with the area, Pelican Pointe, and with your extra efforts to make our stay the perfect vacation. I can't imagine the stress this disaster has caused you as you try your best to maintain your properties while trying to assure your renters that their "perfect place at the beach" will be as perfect as the last time they visited. I pray that a solution will be found soon and clean up can begin in those places they are affected. My heart goes out to all those who have lost their jobs due to the oil spill - especially those folks in Louisiana/Mississippi who are still recovering from Katrina. We look forward to our time at the beach in October. You know what they say...a bad day at the beach is always better than a good day at work!

What a great condo! And working with Diann directly was a dream. We were 2 couples with 3 small children and this condo was a great fit. Our toddler LOVED the baby pool outside and on the one rainy day we were able to swim with her in the indoor pool. We spent lots of time in the condo because of the small kids but did not mind because of the gorgeous view of the surf and the tasteful decorating inside. We will be back.

Great weather..nice ocean breeze - super kite flying weather. Your condo is lovely. We enjoyed our stay with our grandkids. Our favorite adventures were: U.S.S. Alabama in Mobile, Naval Air Museum in Pensacola, and Adventure Island. Favorite restaurants were Cosmos, Genos, Original Oyster House, and Lulus.

This was a fabulous place to visit and enjoy our last vacation with my parents together. My parents were the first to take their children to see the ocean/gulf, they did the same with their grandchildren, and now their great grandchildren. It was a bitter-sweet time that will give us wonderful memories to cherish when our Lord calls my father home later this year. (Pam's father died two weeks after their return home.) Thank you for giving us such a beautiful relaxing place to create wonderful memories. The best part of our trip was enjoying the entire family together and seeing the "SMILES."

We've stayed in this unit THREE times. It is great!!! I like the amenities, the conveniences, the layout, and working with Diann is great. You could never work with anyone more accommodating and nice. She gives you helpful hints in the information booklet she sends. A corner unit on the second floor makes such easy access. I am going back soon and taking FOUR generations. If you have a problems deciding between this unit or another...this one, in my book, wins hands down.

Our family has just returned from out 3rd annual trip to Orange Beach. This is our 2nd time staying in one of Diann's condos-the 1st in the new location at Pelican Pointe. We were pleasantly surprised to find that Diann has many of the same personalized amenities in this condo that we enjoyed at the Romar Place condo. The kitchen is fully stocked (with better dishes & glassware that I have at my own house!) Our family looks forward to our vacation in Orange Beach, especially cooking and eating all the fresh seafood! Diann has done a beautiful job decorating this condo in neutral, relaxing colors. The sheets are super soft. If the view & beach weren't so awesome, we wouldn't want to get out of bed. With my mother and her best friend joining us, we had plenty of room at the dining table for 8. We were even able to eat meals on the patio-we just pushed the two tables together. This was our first trip in the middle of July, we have traveled in mid August in the previous two years. It was a little crazier on the property, definitely peak season. Even with the complex being nearly full, there were always lounge chairs available at the pool & plenty of space on the beach to have a wonderful day. The 2nd floor location was perfect-we never had to wait for an elevator! This year we even took the 1 1/2 hour dolphin tour which was fantastic. My husband and two eldest sons chartered a fishing boat for a few hours and went deep sea, then bay fishing. They had a great time and caught plenty of fish for us to eat. One thing you need to know about Diann - she is super organized and thinks of EVERYTHING. We have really come to appreciate her attention to detail and value the information she provides us about the local stores, restaurants and activities. The boys want to know which week we're coming next summer!

This is one fabulous condo! My friends & I have stayed in it 3 times over the past year, and we have it booked for 3 more times in the coming months. It is well maintained, beautifully decorated & has nice upgrades that you will not find in other rentals. I especially love the fact it is on the 2nd floor and you can pop out the door and hit the steps. If you have children, you can easily see them from the balcony while they are in the pool. Another convenience is the two full beds in the third bedroom. Very nice when you have a group of girl pals. If you happen to have concerns or questions, the owner is very responsive and can be reached easily by email or phone. Anyone who rents this condo will be very pleased and have a wonderful vacation experience.

This is our 4th year for this condo...it is always great, Thanks, Diann...We'll be back. Our favorite adventures were riding the HOBIE Cat off the beach where the dolphins swam around us. Finding sand dollars on the sand bar. Favorite places to eat - Cobalts and Calypsos.

205 Pelican Pointe felt like home way from home - complete with washer and dryer which comes in particularly handy when airlines charge for baggage and your beaching it every day. We totally enjoyed the spacious balcony with a second floor pool and gulf view (better than eye level + no one trekking through your "space" except seagulls!) TV's in every bedroom was a nice touch, and the beds were comfortable (an even more important touch.) Our friends in another condo thought the decor was "way better" than theirs, with crown molding, etc. It was GREAT!

May23-30 2009 The weather was perfect. We had fun in the sun everyday. Beautiful beach with the softest sand. The condo unit is 5 star with more comforts than home. I loved waking up to the view of the ocean from our king size bed and joining my husband on the balcany and listening to the ocean waves. The daily dolfins were so close CL was able to vidio them on his 35MM camera. There was plenty of space for the 10 of us to socialize on the balcany and close enough to talk to family in the pool below and wave to those on the beach. We ate most of our meals in except for the seafood. Our granddaughters enjoyed the kiddie pool, while my sister fell in love with the hot tub. We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary with my mother, sister our 2 kids and their families. Diann goes above and beyond to make your visit the most enjoyable and memorable vacation ever.

We loved your condo! Great way to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary with our family. Thank you for making it so special. Favorite places to eat - Cosmos. Great drinks at The Hangout. Enjoyed going to The Wharf looking in all the shops and riding the ferris wheel. We played minature golf, and went to the beach everyday. Enjoyed watching the dolphins from the balcony. This is a wonderful beach with clear water and white sand.

Just left the Pelican Pointe unit 205 and am heartbroken!!! We love staying here, especially the large balcony looking straight over the pool to the ocean. Love uncrowded Orange Beach, and the great restaurants close by and in Gulf Shores! Thanks for having everything we could need in the kitchen and the rest of the condo. Hopefully we will be back soon, certainly not soon enough! I thought I had found heaven in Diann & Larry's Romar Place condo...then I discovered Pelican Pointe! This is the perfect condo for my girl trips and also wonderful for large family trips. We were extremely pleased with all the room this condo offers, and all the perks with new linens and bedding, and televisions in all the bedrooms. Thank you, Diann, for your quick follow-up in all our rentals, and thank you for having two beautiful condos - Pelican Pointe and Romar Place. We had a wonderful Easter vacation at 205 Pelican Pointe. We felt right at home. The condo is decorated beautifully and the beds are comfy + we had all the cooking materials we needed when cooking in. The weather was warm - in the 70's. We spent a lot of time at the beach relaxing, playing in the sand with the kids and my kids grew fond of body surfing-they had a blast. The indoor pool was perfect for the cooler mornings and nights too. We went to Lulu's (Jimmy Buffet's sister's place) for dinner and loved the music and atmosphere. One of our favorite things to do when we come to Orange Beach is see the Blue Angel's fly (Pensacola). The kids loved it as much as the first time they went. The last day of of stay it was cloudy and cool so we took the kids to the race track and they had a blast. We definitely will return as we enjoyed our stay so much. Thank you for sharing your beautiful condo.

We have vacationed here since 1987 for spring break. Josh, our 3 year old found pieces of a "pirate ship" and a treasure map! Our favorite restaurants were Lulu's; Grazie, Mikees, Steam Shrimp and Sea and Subs. Amberjack is a great local fish. try the red royal shrimp.

We rented this beautiful unit for the entire month of November....it is very clean, comfortable, and has everything you need. The balcony is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the beautiful waters and pool. Another plus is the easy access to shopping centers and restaurants. I have never dealt with an owner that is easier to work with and aims to please her guests! We will definitely recommend this unit to our family and friends!

Owner response: After being at Pelican Pointe for a week this renter decided she couldn't leave and ended up buying a condo of her own!

This was a WONDERFUL unit! It has everything you could want in a condo. Pelican Pointe also has wonderful pools and is a great place for families. We will definitely be back! Thanks so much!

What perfect weather! You told me October was a great month but I didn't know it would be this perfect. Nice warm days and cool nights. We love the condo. Have relaxed SO much just sitting on the balcony reading, watching the action on the beach, and generally chilling out. We needed this vacation! We love all of your decorating. Furniture is nice and comfy & beds are all great. Kitchen has plenty of everything. We couldn't have asked for more. See you again soon!

What a wonderful condo. Everything was just as nice as you said it would be. This was the cleanest condo we've ever stayed in. The linens were so nice and we loved the new washer and dryer. The kitchen had everything we needed. We ate in most of the week and it was great to have all the appliance we needed. We had all of our meals on the balcony and it was heavenly! Your decor is beautiful. Loved all of the extra accents you have. You've truly made this feel like home away from home.

Thank you so much for all of your help in booking our week. You were so easy to work with and really went the extra mile. We LOVED the condo. It was everything you said and more. We especially enjoyed the pools - the outdoor pool was so much larger than the other condos where we've stayed. We loved the indoor pool and hot tub. We will definitely be back next year!

We had a FUN time just lying on the beach and looking for shells. We rented a boat and explored the Intercoastal Waterway. The beach was a great way to 'end the summer'.

Thanks for all of your help. Your information book you send is unbelievable. Your "favorite" restaurant suggestions were SO helpful. We ate out four nights and loved each of the restaurants you suggested. Loved all of the beds. You have the best mattresses we have ever had in a condo! Also loved the huge balcony & the fact that it overlooked the pool. My wife and I enjoyed each others company while watching our teenage kids play in the pool. A win/win situation. HA! Thanks again for all of your suggestions to make our stay enjoyable.

This was a great vacation home. The sheets on the beds were luxuriously soft and all the amenities were there and all the appliances worked. The covered porch was wonderful for dining in the morning, lunch or dinner. We loved it and will return again.!!!!!

This condo is great. This is the largest outdoor pool we've ever had at a condo and the indoor pool is really special. We both work out and loved the exercise room and sauna. We also play tennis and played several times at night on the lighted courts. Our son enjoyed the basketball goal while we were playing tennis. Having the "kiddie pool" was a huge plus for us. Our three year old had a much better time since she had her "own" pool. Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching us play in the pool. All in all - it's the best vacation we've ever had and we WILL be back next year!

We rented a pontoon boat and explored the bay and Intercoastal Waterway. That was LOTS of fun. The pool and beaches were great. The condo was very nice and we enjoyed our stay.

My granddaughter enjoyed Waterville and, of course, putt putt golf. Walking the beach, shell hunting, and looking for sand crabs was fun. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you for your help.
