We stayed in the top floor unit and was pleasantly suprised how lovely the unit was. Everything Jackie claimed was there and couldn't have wanted anything more for a more restful trip. We thank you for all the tips for planning before our trip. The unit was clean and a joy to come home to after, our outdoor activities. It was indeed like a home away from home. The views were great and the sunsets were breath taking. We will miss the greeting of the birds in the morings and at sunset. Our family enjoyed the walks on the beach and saw the whales surfacing. What a joy. The only thing wrong was our trip ended way to soon. We plan on coming back next year and we will stay longer.

I was one of the first to use the new shower in 5-105. What a treat not to have to step over the tub to get in it. The color of the tile is warm verus the old white title and tub. It is a lovely change. All my thanks to my husband who made it happen. thanks again Hon

Our recent stay could not have been a better experience. The two bedroom, two bath unit was so spacious and cheerful. We had all the amenities of a well equipped home and found we could entertain at the unit very easily. We loved the beautiful view from our terrace which overlooked lots of greenery as well as the beautiful pool area. We loved the hot tub (of which there are three) and took advantage of it most nights we were there. The beach was just a pleasant walk across the street. The grounds of the Kamaole Sands are spectacular and very pleasant to stroll around. Restaurants and markets were convenient, just a minute away, as well as places to rent snorkel and diving gear. We recommend Jackie's units very highly, as she really pays attention to details to make sure your stay is wonderful.
Owner response:Thank you Dottie for you wonderful review. We always like to hear responses from our guests and hope to accommadate you again in the furture.

We stayed at 5-105 March 13-24 2009. The layout was great for our family with the bedrooms apart and the ground floor access was perfect. There were boogie boards and beach chairs to use (closet in bedroom)and the kitchen was updated and clean. Parking was right outside the door. The whole complex was well maintained. We would stay here again. thanks

We stayed in 5-105 for ten nights, June 13-24, 2008)whilst attending our son's wedding in Kihei. Two of the guests were my sisters from England, making their first trip to the Hawaiian islands. Everything was wonderful, and fully lived up to expectations. We would be pleased to book with you again sometime in the future. We changed the light bulb on the lanai, as it was burnt out. There weren't any of that kind in your supply. I don't think the stove hood/light work, but we didn't do any cooking anyway - too many great restaurants to sample! Some wine glasses would have been nice - 'cos it is definitely a wine drinking place!!!! Impressed with how the closet was stocked with playthings - we might bring the grandkids next time!! We even added to the collection. You now have ANOTHER beach umbrella! Thanks for a memorable vacation in perfect, spotlessy clean surroundings, with all the amenities at hand. Mahalo

Condo was lovely, everything was very relaxing , our friends are older and had a few problems, as soon as we told them the rules everything went smoothly, we would love to come back ,just the two of us, our children have been there 3 or 4 times and we really enjoy holidaying with them. We wanted to leave essentials for the next people but were not sure if they would stay there or not. All round a truly wonderful vacation Mahalo Jackie and Martin and family

The unit we stayed in was 5 - 105. We loved being on the ground level, near to the pool, but because the grounds at Kamaole Sands are so gorgeous and grand, the walk across the street to the beach took longer than we thought. The kitchen was great, with nice granite countertops and a fridge that makes ice. I loved our master bedroom with a kingsize bed and ensuite, again nice granite counter tops and two sinks. Our lanai was nice and shaded and private - it was a very nice tropical setting. Hearing the birds in the early morning and in the evening with the setting sun was lovely. The only negative comments we would have is wishing there were more ammenities. There were no oven mitts and no tongs for the bbq. We only had one dish cloth and one dish towel. Having to buy our own garbage bags, tin foil and toilet paper was a shock at first, but now we know for the next time. The 3 ceiling fans wobbled terribly - so much so that our kids were afraid they were going to fall on them. We had brought some dvd's from home to watch, but there was only a vcr. The ceramic flooring is nice and cool on the feet, it would be nice to have it in the two bedrooms too. The carpet is quite stained. All in All it's a nice suite and I would recommend it to friends and family.
Owner response:Our property manager cleaning service at Kam’aole Sands provides unit cleaning, all linens, cleaning products and garbage bags, which they figure should last a week. They also provided daily or once a week services. I have tried to place additional items in the units and most of it disappears. Castle takes out all foils, plastic bags, toilet paper etc. I go through things like silverware and worn items for replacement every time we are there. I only restock additional linens 2 times a year. If the unit has a back to back bookings, the front desk can not get into the unit to clean the carpet. I have started asking for arrival times to notify the front desk of later arrivals. The front desk can get in to do extra cleaning, when they know arrival time is later than 3pm. Also, if the unit is not what you were told to expect, please e-mail me or call at the time so we can do something about it during your stay. We rebalanced the fans, all the time in 5-105. I think because of the low ceilings people try to stop the fans with their hands or other objects, which bends the blades and causes them to be out of balance. We have installed DVD players in all of our units.

Sent, Thursday, March 01, 2007 11:21 AM Subject RE: 3-405 KAMAOLE SANDS LUXURY CONDOS cust comment WE had an awesome awesome awesome time!!!!! the unit was beautiful (although the birds were a little noisy some mornings waking us up at 5:30 am....only kidding it was nice). The unit was clean and very accomodating for our family. I suppose the only suggestion we have is that it would have been nice to have things such as plastic wrap, tin foil or even salt and pepper. I understand that these items might be expensive to supply as the owner but it sure would have been nice to have as the rentor. I for sure for sure would rent from you again. thank you for the wonderful experience Sandi and Family

What wonderful experience! It is so difficult to truly know what kind of accomodations you will be checked into until you arrive. We were very happy as soon as we opened the door to your tastefully updated condominium. It had everything we needed in a vacation home. The location was perfect for our family, who loved going to "Big Beach" and shopping in Wailea. It is also perfect just to stay home and hang out by the pool and BBQ. When we come back, we'll be calling Jackie and Martin first to see what they have available. Thanks again, Jennifer CA

We had the pleasure of staying in your two bedroom unit in August and I felt I had to write to say what a wonderful time we had and how at home we felt in your beautiful condo. We went on vacation with my Aunt and Uncle who are in their 80's. They had no trouble getting to the unit thanks to the elevators and enjoyed the sitting on the lanai and soaking up the sun. They took the downstairs bedroom, while my husband and I enjoyed the loft upstairs. The space was open enough that we did not feel closed in and private enough that we felt we had our own space. I will definitley be telling all of my friends about your condo and will be back again soon. Dawn Parsons

Thank you so much for letting us use your condos while we stayed in Maui. We had so much fun while we were there! The pool parties, hot tubes and being close to all the other tours and activities we did while we were there was great. It was a nice walk across the lawn and garden area in the complex, cross the road and you were at the beach. All the fish and sea life under the water was so nice to watch as the kids played in the soft surf. With the park right at the beach, we had a picanic right there without all the sand in everything while we ate. I think the best part was being able to come back to the nice clean updated unit, and relax in the cool air conditioning, then opening the lockable steel screen door for the nightly tropical breeze.

Our travel agent booked us through the front desk for our honeymoon and to our horror we were placed in an un-updated, dirty unit in building 10. The front desk was gracious enough to give us a new condo in 5-404. When we enter the condo we thought we died and went to heaven. Not all units are equal in ambience, quality, decorations, supplies, beach equipment and cleanliness. Truly a home away from home. We will tell all of our friends about this unit and book privately through this owner. Happy Newly-weds Amy and Jimmy Brown

Aloha We stayed at 9-107 in Jan. 2004. We really liked the room, the location, including that is was on the ground floor, the fixtures such as dishwasher, stove, micowave etc. were all in great working order if not brand new, the tile floor was nice as well. The fact you can walk out of the complex across the street and be at the a nice sandy beach, ocean and park was fun. It was quiet, well kept, and clean. Hope to return again soon!

GREAT TIME I just wanted to let you know we had a great time in Maui, the condo was perfect--clean and spacious and quiet. The drier wasn't drying clothes well and when I called maintenance, a guy even came at 6pm and fixed it. We loved that it was near the back so the kids could play on the grass and not have to go far.
