This home is fully furnished in all the ways that make for a great carefree get away for family and friends. Watch the sunset over Mt Konocti or fish or sit around the campfire. Free Wifi and Cable TV. Commercial grade coffee grinder and Starbucks espresso machine. Have great coffee and make yourself breakfast with the high end waffle maker that puts out a waffle every 90 seconds. Sit by the lake in the evenings or take a stroll on the private fishing pier. Need provisions... just walk 1/2 block to the local convenience store. And if you want breakfast or a meal out, both Cactus Grill and Main St. Cafe are just a few hundred feet away, As are many other small shops to browse. We were greeted by the homeowner Bob with a bucket full of ice with beers and waters. A perfect way to start our week of family fun. Our group hovered between four in number and topped out at 10 over the week-end. We enjoyed every amenity the house offered except the Sauna, due the tremendous hot weather. We easily got by the shore-hugging algae using the kayaks (provided) and a rental boat for tubing and swimming in the center of the lake. The house was very clean and furnished comfortably. Bob, gave us all the privacy renters could want, yet was immediately available for any requests we had. We'll be back!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

A group of us stayed here for the weekend. the House is amazing, all kinds of great spots to play and relax. There were 15 of us and 4 dogs and we never felt cramped. The ammenities are perfect and the view of the lake is really beautiful. The family who owns and rents this space is really nice and easy to work with. They were flexible about last minute changes in plans and friendly the whole way through. They even gave us a chance to change dates last minute when they found out the lake was high in algea. I give the space a 5 stars and sadly clear lake itself was a 4 stars for us, but only because of algea issues.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had 22 people and occupied the main house and all 4 cabins. Every part of the property was spotless, the amenities in the yard exceeded our expectations, and the view is incredible. Everyone in our motorcycle touring group was thrilled with the property and we will definitely stay again. The owner came by on Saturday to make sure we were happy (we were). The location is convenient to stores, case stations, and a great restaurant is a 2 minute walk. The downsides? The house is dated (but very clean), the Clear Lake neighborhood its in isn't Beverly Hills, and the 3 downstairs bedrooms in the main house are only semi private. The last point is important if you have a group. None of these detracted from the great time we had. There are plenty of places that subsets of a big group can hang out and "do their own thing." Overall, I would recommend this property for anyone with a big group.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers.

What a great week! There were three generations: five adults, five teens, twin 6-year-old boys, and two dogs. Being able to close the gate to keep little guys and their dogs contained was a real plus. Everyone loved the easy water access. The splash pad, spa, pool table, barbecue and fire pit were big hits! Sunset viewing from the upper deck was beautiful. And we can't forget the 15-pound catfish caught using anchovies at 2:00 am. We were able to spread out all over the place so there was plenty of elbow room. Tristan was a gem - always available to help us. Thank you so much!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We came out on a cloudy, rainy, weekend in June. Despite the lack of sun we had a great time! There were enough breaks in the rain for everyone to get out on the lake in the kayaks which was breathtaking. I thought the description and photos were completely accurate. The property was beautifully kept and it was fabulous fun to give friends tours of the place as they arrived. We absolutely loved the very homey, comfortable feel of the place. Terry, Bob and Tristan- the owners and staff were so sweet and helpful. Tori brought over homemade gourmet griddlecakes and a bag of homemade granola with a sweet apologetic note (apologizing for the weather- as if it was their fault:) Our whole group really had a wonderful time. Thank you all so much for everything. We are sure to come back and will most definitely be recommending Vista Del Lago as a great vacation getaway to all of our friends!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

I can't say enough about our stay at Vita Del Lago, "we had a great time" with friends and family. The resort offers many things to do and Clear Lake is absolutely beautiful. We explored the lake and surrounding areas and found really cool shops. The staff is very accommodating and made us feel like we were really on vacation. We are already planning a return... Thanks Bob and Tori for a great time. So glad you liked the puri. Really appreciated the service of our every need by your assistant Tristan. We did not expect to have someone available who chopped wood for our campfire and hunt down a flour sifter too! It was like having a private concierge service. The home was clean and well stocked even by my picky standards. Great sense of privacy and convenience all in one place. We are frequent renters of vacation homes. This was a great one! Although it is within walking distance to shops and restaurants it is tucked away from the the traffic and has a large fenced private area by the water. The outside fire pit area at the water's edge and the upper deck viewing brings the lake life up close. The inside of the house has numerous private and public places. So finding a corner to read or take a nap was not a problem and the facilities were clean and well maintained. The house had every ammenity we needed for both indoor and outdoor cooking. I suggested a larger gas grill for bigger groups and the onsite grounds keeper said it was in the plans. Others in our group liked it too because it felt like home after our first meal. I can highly recommend it. If it would have had a swimming pool I would give it 5 stars, but next to the lake that is not as important.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We had a blast. I noticed someone said comwebs???!!! Where? The owners had a fiire going the minute the sun set. The home was so cozy and rustic. So classic and felt like a true lake house. I noticed the kitchen and bathrooms were very clean. Thank you for a great winter stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Unfortunately, the environment smelled awful due to the algae (out of owners' control). However, the house itself needed LOTS of cleaning. The bedrooms downstairs were FULL of cobwebs and spiders. I could not sleep because spiders were all over the ceiling! The rooms were not aired out and smelled quite a bit musty. The pool was quite dirty. We lost power for a few hours during our first night - caretaker could not find the fuse box and it was boiling HOT inside. We asked for a partial refund - no response from the owners. We did enjoy being on the balcony though. I can't remember when we stayedOwner response: We are disheartened to hear of the guests disappointments over their summer stay. We are sorry for the delay in the power interruption as our 24 hr. maintenance superintendent initally had problems instituting the back up circuit box. We take great pride in the condition of the property and a thorough cleaning inside and out of the property occurs after every stay. We would have been glad to compensate the guests for the problems incurred as our property thrives on repeat business. But this is the first correspondence we're aware of since their stay. We appreciate the feedback and will continue to strive to exceed our guests future expectations. If we are ever given the opportunity to make up for their inconveniences we would be thrilled to do so. Stay tuned for exciting new improvements that are currently under way. Bob & Tori

The address for your vacation home is Vista Del Lago, 14103 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake, CA 95422 CHECK-IN TIME IS AFTER 3 P.M. PST CHECK OUT is 11.M. PST Time* *Please be advised that a check out after 11AM will incur a $50 charge per hour. 1. This is a non-smoking home. Please go outside, ashtrays available. 2. We will not solely rent to persons under 25 years of age; persons over the age of 25 must make and be responsible for the rental. 3. DAMAGE/RESERVATION DEPOSIT- A damage fee of $49 is included in your reservation The payment automatically converts to a security/damage fee upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; It covers and or includes: a. Damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. b. Loss of keys. (Please leave keys on the kitchen table and unit is left locked.) c. No linens are lost or damaged. d. NO Early check-in or late check-out. e. No one other than the contract tenant and their guests are permitted (ie: subleasing/renting). f. The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, the security company employed by Owner Complex. 4. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION a. Please place all debris and rubbish in the dumpster, and place soiled dishes in the dishwasher and have them cleaned. b. The subject property is located next to the lake, if lake algae bloom creates odor problems agreed by both owner & guest, lower winter rate will be granted. OR an early departure on the day of arrival will be credited a 50% refund OR rollover credit to another trip. Understand: this is Mother Nature and beyond owner’s control. A full refund will NOT be granted. c. Dislike of property DOES NOT warrant a refund. d. No street parking, park on property only. Noise restrictions apply past 10PM* e. * Private spa but it is closed at 10PM due to neighbor complaints. Anything done quietly after that is acceptable. Please be considerate of neighbors. Any violations resulting in disturbing the peace as defined by local police can result in fines and penalties. 5. PAYMENT – all payments made through VRBO 6. CANCELLATIONS - A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellation. Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date will incur no penalty. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and damage/reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent or deposit. If cancelling and your reservation is a holiday you must cancel 90 days prior. And a 5% non-refundable amount is taken immediately upon booking. 7. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY - The maximum number of guests is limited to (12) persons in beds, (20) total with additional fee. Additional daily visitors must check in and pay $10 per day for a day pass and must be off of the property by 10pm for liability purposes. Failure to check in can cause loss of deposit. 8. THIS PROPERTY REQUIRES A MINIMUM of Two (2) NIGHT STAY-unless otherwise agreed upon. There are cabins located on the same property but in front of a private gate on the street side of the property, the owner reserves the right to rent out the cabins. (The main house is private and gated; no cabin renters will be allowed to use lake property or any of the amenities. This is the exclusive right to you as the guest) 9. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE - While linens and bath towels are included in the home, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate however is available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the home. 10. All debris, rubbish and recyclables are disposed in the proper containers and trash cans. Please DO NOT clean fish in the house there is a sink outside for this. 11. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS - Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be able to check in. 12. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS - Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. 13. STORM POLICY - No refunds will be given unless: a. The national weather service orders mandatory evacuation in a “Storm/Flood Warning Area" and/or b. A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the “Storm/Flood Warning" area of residents of a vacationing guest. The day that the National Weather Service orders a mandatory evacuation order in a "Storm/Flood Warning," area, we will refund: 1. Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered; 2. Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten their stay, to come in after the Storm/Flood Warning is lifted; and 3. Any advanced rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Storm/Flood Warnings" period. c. The accessibly to the lake is governed by nature and government regulation, therefore we make no guarantee to quantity or quality of the lake for fishing, boating, swimming or other recreational activities. 14. RELEASE OF LIABILITY Guests agree to hold harmless owners and their representatives and to make any needed claims to the guests own homeowner, automobile and or other insurance policies that may need to be called upon. I accept for use, and for any minors in my custody, as is, the equipment listed on this form, and accept full financial responsibility for the care of the equipment while it is in my possession. I will be responsible for the replacement, at full value, of any equipment rented under this form which is lost, stolen, damaged or otherwise not returned to Water‘s Edge Investments. Inc. I agree to return all rental equipment by the agreed time and date or I shall incur a 20% late fee. I understand that the sport of paddling, and other related water activities involve inherent and other risks of INJURY and DEATH. The risks include but are not limited to: physical exertion, inclement weather, capsizing of watercraft, immersion in water, hypothermia, accidents or illness in remote areas, equipment failure and malfunction, drowning, and loss or damage to personal property. I voluntarily agree to expressly assume all risks of injury or death that may result from the use of this equipment. I further agree to wear an approved personal flotation device at all times while in a rented kayak and I confirm that I am physically fit to operate and use said equipment and that I understand the equipment's use and function. I further agree defend and indemnify providers for any loss or damage, including any that results from claims or lawsuits for personal injury, death and property loss and damage related in any way to the use of this equipment. About the owner: Bob and Tori hanging out by the campfire duriing one of their recent annual wine parties. Bob spends most of his time running their dry cleaning business and Tori teaches high school science and math. They live close by and are available for assistance if anything is needed.

We have lived in this home and raised our children here. We have never grown tired of life by the lake. The personality of the lake is constantly changing. Whether the wind is blowing hard and the rain pouring or the sun shining and hot... there is never a time when it is not a beautiful place to live.
