Our home is located in The Dunes, a semi-private golf course community with club house, pro shop, tennis court, & restaurant all within a quarter mile. It is conveniently located about 300 yards from the bay beach and less than a 5 minute bike ride from our private beach on the gulf.
Home features 3 bedrooms, 2 bath, fully equipped kitchen for cooking and serving, dining area, living area with 37' flat screen TV, DVD player, surround sound, & fireplace, digital cable package w/over 200 channels available on demand, wifi high speed internet access, recently refurnished, very private setting, citrus trees, property backs up to wildlife management area, private heated salt system screened pool , screened lanai, gas grill outdoor kitchen next to pool area in addition to the charcoal grill on back porch, covered parking, large yard, & private beach access just a 5 minute bike ride away. New outdoor grilling kitchen next to pool.
Rental also includes bikes, kayak, bike pulled kayak trailer, golf clubs, tennis rackets, beach chairs, fishing gear & tackle, sand buckets & shovels, games & puzzels. There are 4 adult bikes, 2 childrens bikes, and a trail behind for the little biker, a savings of over $300.00 in bikes rentals per week.
2007 19 ft. Kenner bay fisherman boat on trailer is available for rent October 1st - March 1st. Call for more information & rates on boat rental.
This is our family beach home. It is appointed and equipped as you would your own home. It is not a sterile rental unit like so many condos and rental homes. If you choose to stay in our home we want you to enjoy your time on the Island as much as we do when we are able to visit. Upon your arrival, you will find our list of what we consider the best shelling spots, best restaurants, best Grouper baskets, best places to visit, and how to get there. Sanibel Island is simply a safe, clean, relaxing place in the sun with the some of the best beaches and restaurants in America. Once you have experienced Sanibel Island, you will be back.
Open Floor Plan:
Main Floor: Living area, kitchen, dining area, bedroom w/ queen bed, bedroom w/ 2 double beds, 1 bath, both a covered screened deck and an uncovered deck...catch some rays or stay cool in the shade.
2nd Floor: Master bedroom w/ king bed, desk w/ high speed internet access, full private bath, balcony, & spacious closet.
Payment: $1000.00 deposit is required to secure reservation, then becomes a damage deposit after check in. Damage deposit is not applied to rent. Full payment is due 90 days prior to arrival. We accept Visa, MasterCard, & Discover credit cards, money orders, cashiers checks, and personal checks. Damage deposit is refundable given there is no damage or missing items after checkout. Refunds will be mailed about 1-2 weeks after checkout.
Cancellation Policy: 90 day cancellation policy. If cancellation is made outside of 90 days prior to arrival date, deposit will be refunded less a one night cancellation fee. Should cancellation occur inside 90 days prior to arrival, the deposit becomes nonrefundable unless home can be re-rented.
Must be at least 25 years of age to rent house.

Great place to stay. Can't beat the location and this was a great family destination as well. I loved how you can just bike everywhere and the beach is terrific. We'll book this house again. Very cute and very clean as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our third time staying in this home. It has become our favorite place to end summer. We spent all of August. The kids love the place. The home is always clean and in good repair. Their maintenance man is always there if you need help. We would recommend this home to anyone except for the month of August. That is our time.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

I had a great time with my family at this vacation rental. The house was clean and welcoming and in a very safe and friendly community. The house came with all the "toys" necessary to have a great time on Sanibel Island. We took the bikes out and had a great time. I would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing time and a vacation that can be very active, as well.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

We arrived on October 1st for our month in the sun. We found the home to be exactly as advertised. What a welcome surprise to find what we were expecting. You never know when you rent what to expect. The owners were pleasent to work with and my husband enjoyed having the boat to use. "Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beach home. Your house is cool. My mom asked me to write this letter. We arrived the day after school got out and stayed until January 11. We didn't want to leave. Mom and I rode our bike to the beach everyday except one when it rained. We got boxes of shells and other beach things. One day after a storm we found live crabs and two octopuses on the beach. The pool is the best. It was like swimming in a hot tube I think mom said it was 86 degrees. Dad cooked out a lot. My brother took the Kayak out and caught some fish two times. We are coming back next year and Dad said I could take the Kayak out then. Thank you again and maybe next year we will get to meet you. Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
Sanibel has been our favorite vacation spot for 30 years. We purchased this home and hope to retire there in about five more years. We chose a home in the Dunes golf community because of the lack of traffic and convenience to the golf course and beach. We can bike or walk any time of the year without the traffic most of the island experiences.
We renovated the home and completely refurnished it in 2009. In 2010 we added the screened salt system pool and grilling outdoor kitchen area.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Bay fishing is only short walk away. We take the kayak or fish from shore and catch all the trout, sheephead, flounder and redfish we want. Playing golf after 4PM at the Dunes is only $40.00 including a cart and you meet some of the nicest people from all over the world. The shelling is unbelievable.
