We had our best ever Christmas staying here with our two boys and their families including 4 little children and one baby. I can't tell you the magical look in their eyes when we walked in and saw the "real" tree all decorated and said "where did that come from Nana" and Nana answered "I guess the elves were here". Thanks a milliontimes over for that one.

Outstanding Vacation Home for our Family Get-together!!

Everything we could ask for in a vacation home! Close to everything, but yet private. Walking or biking distance to town and the lake, as well as access to the Spring Mountain pool, tennis courts and workout room. Everything was as represented or even better. Part of our group took the lift at Bachelor and biked down the mountain--part of us didn't--but it sounded like fun anyway! The great attitude of the owner and the upbeat atmosphere of the McCall community are hard to beat. We will be back!

Fabulous Cabin Rental

Our family always rents cabins in McCall and we usually have rented a different place each time (we are from San Diego). However, this is the first time that we have rented the same place twice. We absolutely love this cabin. It is perfect for several families. The big bonus room is the perfect place for the kids to play Wii, watch TV, play games and or just hang out. Also, the room with bunk beds sleeps five kids comfortably. The two master suites are perfect for two families to each have a separate bathroom and bedroom. The kitchen is a great place to cook homecooked meals which is exactly what we did! You won't be disappointed.

The only complaint I have about this cabin is..... WE COULDN'T STAY LONGER! We loved our stay and enjoyed everything it had to offer. My boys loved the firepit (a little too much!), playing hide-and-seek in the trees which surrounded the backyard, AND, the hot tub for an early morning soak. Thank you so much for providing such a beautiful weekend getaway!

We just returned from this property. This cabin is extremely clean and well taken care of. The amentities are as advertised: We watched football on the big HD TV, sat in the hot tub, roasted marshmellows in the firepit, swam in the community pool, played tennis, road bikes into town and then down to the lake! I love the McCall area and have been there many times. This cabin is located in my favorite part of town. There are so many things to do close by. We will rent this cabin again.

McCall regulars... we go for at least a week each summer and closer to two weeks around the Holidays. We spent eight wonderful days at Drake Lodge in August. The place is huge, but retains its charm. Two families with two young children each. The kitchen was well-appointed, two master bedrooms worked perfectly and the playroom for the kids was a great bonus. We took advantage of the hot tub daily and the fire pit every evening. We have stayed in MANY cabins in McCall. Drake Lodge is one of the very best. We liked Drake Lodge so much we already booked it for the Holidays later this year.

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

There are Vacation Rentals, and then there are Vacation Homes. This is a place that was every bit as comfortable as staying at home. We had intended to enjoy the great outdoors of McCall but ended up relaxing around the house the entire time instead. Will definitely be going back again....and hopefully often!

Drake Lodge was such a delight for our stay - 4 married couples that were on their 5th annual get-away (we try to find a new place to explore within 6 hours driving distance of our home). The "cabin" had everything we needed to relax, cook in comfort and style, and close to downtown McCall so we could either ride our bikes or walk. The fox that visited us the first night was a special treat, he munched the Ritz crackers that had fallen in the grass!

The perfect vacation rental!

This cabin was the perfect place for our weekend getaway. It had everything that 4 couples and 2 children could ask for. A large gourmet kitchen for "family style" meals, cozy living room with a beautiful fireplace, private hot tub and an extra large game room upstairs. The whole place was immaculate and the property owner was very pleasant to work with. Thank you Drake Lodge! I definitely hope to stay there again sometime in the future.

We had an absolutely wonderful weekend. It was so nice to get away and spend time in McCall. It was our first trip there and was a winter wonderland. Thank you so much for the use of your cabin. It was so beautiful and cozy. It was truly a home away from home. We spent our weekend being lazy and enjoying the snow. We were able to just relax. Thanks again. Our stay at Drake lodge was beyond perfect! My husband and I reviewed the photos online for this cabin before selecting Drake Lodge as our weekend get-away. We were BLOWN away at how clean, cozy, comfortable, and peaceful this cabin was. Not only does it have the most incredible kitchen, it has such a warm and inviting feel to the rest of the home. This cabin should not be labeled just a cabin, but rather, a piece of McCall paradise. The pictures DO NOT give this cabin justice. You will not be disappointed in the spacious feeling it gives and how incredibly relaxed you'll feel when you depart Drake Lodge. The only problem is...you won't want to leave.

Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

Drake Lodge was beyond our expectations. My family of 5 plus my sister's family of 5 all stayed very comfortably in the 4 BR + gameroom over the Christmas/New Year holiday. The home is beautiful and immaculately kept. The location is fantastic in Spring Mtn Ranch and the homeowner's couldn't be more helpful and accomodating. Highly recommend this property.

A Fabulous Family Reunion

A perfect vacation for 10 including toddlers, tweens, teens, moms, dads and grandma. The photos of the cabin do not adequately show how lovely this home is. It was equipped with anything we needed including bikes and tennis rackets. The kitchen and dining area are wonderful for a large group. We all enjoyed the hot tub and the firepit. We explored the lake, went ice skating, hiking and biking and loved the town of McCall. Many thanks to the Hall family for anticipating the needs of an active family. We will be back! We'd like to try a winter trip once the toddler is skiing.

Summer: July 2010 Our family’s stay at the Drake Lodge was exactly what we needed to host a large group, with a great kitchen, floor plan and all the amenities anyone could need in a beautiful home. The house is in immaculate condition and the owners have thought of every detail to make it an amazing “home away from home”. We are trying to go back to McCall again this year and if we do, we hope the Drake Lodge is available for our stay. You can’t go wrong if you pick this house for your stay. Kind regards, Susan

A+ Outstanding Vacation Home!

We rented this home off VRBO.com for a family reunion. Our two sons, their wives, and three grandkids found it to be a slice of heaven. We were impressed with the vaulted ceilings in the living room with its stone fireplace and HP television, with matching stone columns that separate the huge kitchen from the living room. The kitchen had every imaginable tool, as well as a pantry. We found the water dispenser in the refrigerator a little too late (we were buying water each day)! Each couple had their own bathroom ensuite or adjacent to them, and there's a powder room right near the living room--all well thought out by the builder/owner. The master suite is jawdropping, with the designer pillows, comfy bed, an amazing ensuite bathroom with dual shower heads in a cathedral ceilinged tile shower! I took advantage of the hot tub on the deck outside the master bedroom each night. The children were delighted that the upstairs entertainment room had a closetful of toys, which kept them busy while we really got caught up with the boys and wives! The gigantic TV upstairs was easy to operate. We also loved the fire pit outside with a rock next to it the size of a small elephant that the kids loved to climb on. There were even "S'mores" sticks in the well-appointed laundry room. It was all about the details, something we almost always find lacking in other properties we've stayed in. We wouldn't hesitate to return to what our kids and grand-kids call "our mountain home" when we return to McCall.

We really enjoyed our stay in McCall. We booked this cabin on a recommendation of a close friend and it certainly didn't disappoint. The cabin was very comfortable and extremely well kept. All the amenities were awesome and we felt totally at home during our stay. The huge bonus room with the 50" TV gave the kids a place to hang out away from the adults in the evenings after a full day of McCall winter fun. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our meals, saving us from constantly dining out. I would definitely recommend this cabin to any one traveling to the McCall area and will be booking it again on our next visit.

This was a perfect location for a family vacation. It is great to be able to go with friends and have all of the room and luxury you could ever want. The bike paths are great to get out on, and make for a very scenic run. The wild life all around is enchanting. It is the perfect place to build some great memories. This is our family's third time at this cabin. We have loved each vacation more than the last. The cabin is beautifully furnished and incredibly comfortable. I'm always impressed with how well the cabin is maintained and kept clean. We love the location - McCall is such a fun town. There was so much for us to do. I love the fact the cabin is close enough to town that you can enjoy the conveniences of town, yet in a part of town that allows for the quiet mountain feeling you would expect when staying at a cabin. We will definitely be back for a fourth trip soon!

What a gorgeous home away from home. All of the amenities are included in this beautiful mountainous setting. Nothing has been forgotten in this vacation home. Plenty of room for a family of 6, and the in-laws. We never felt like we were stepping on each others feet, and had plenty of space to relax as adults with the kids upstairs in the bonus room watching a movie. Having 2 master rooms made it convenient to be able to get ready at the same time. We will be back to visit as soon as we can. We would highly recommend this location any time of year!!! We we there in the winter and enjoyed the closeness of the ski resort, but also noticed the lake and thought we should return for some summer fun! You won't be disappointed here!

This cabin was beautiful and incredibly clean. What a wonderful and relaxing experience. The children loved playing in the large bonus room while the adults could gather around the gas fireplace on the main level. Our family will definatley stay here again.

We have used this cabin twice over the past 1.5 years and loved it each time. It is conviently located close to town, Payette Lake, Brundage ski resort and the use of the pool/spa is awesome. It's hardly a cabin as they have provided everything you could possibly need. We have a child and there is a crib/highchair/toys/sippy cups etc... Not to mention it's BEAUTIFUL and roomy!! We would recomend this to our family & friends and have!! Thanks for the GREAT weekend getaway for our family.

We loved your cabin. We enjoyed the fishing, hunting and mountain lakes that McCall had to offer. What an outstanding location and the cabin had everything we every needed and more. The cabin is nestled in a wooded area with hardly any view of another home. The ranch house and fitness center was great. So close to town and yet it feels like you're miles away but it's only a few blocks from the Gorgeous Payette Lake.

What an incredible vacation experience! This is the nicest, cleanest, fully furnished cabin I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. You can’t beat the location as it is a few blocks from downtown McCall and Lake Payette. Furthermore, the Spring Mountain Ranch club house provides access to tennis courts, pool, jacuzzi, exercise room, etc. Simply put, this place has it all!! This cabin is a five-star vacation getaway that I would recommend to my closest friends. Thank you!! R. Christen

We spent a wonderful Thanksgiving week at this very warm and cozy cabin. It accomodated all our 3 kids and their spouses and 5 grandkids very well. We enjoyed all the winter wonderland activities there and Loved the floor to ceiling fireplace that put off tons of heat and looked like a real wood burning fireplace. I would definitely recomend this gorgeous cabin to everyone. What a pleasant experience we had. The had blankets, Tv and DVD player Kitchen had everything we needed for Thanksgiving dinner.
