Set on over an acre of peaceful country property this Sonoma retreat is a private getaway. The pool, barbecue island, and multiple outdoor rooms create a beautiful backyard setting with a view of the neighboring vineyard. Make it a cozy romantic get away or a shared family vacation with family and friends.
Get a taste of wine country living by cutting fresh lavender and roses from our garden for your dinner table. Pick fruit in season from Pear, Apple, Plum and fig trees, add color and flavor to your salads with tomatoes from our organic garden. Sip wine and drink in the view of the setting sun from the back deck. Later, you’ll want to experience why Sonoma is called the “Valley of the Moon”. Grab a sweater and wait for the stars to come out. Far from the city lights they light up the sky and magnify the full moon until it appears you can reach out and touch it.
AMENITIES
Just over one mile from the Historic Sonoma Plaza you can relax in this tastefully appointed home on over an acre of property in the heart of Sonoma Valley. Inside you will find a fully appointed kitchen with granite counters that is open to the family room with hardwood floors, stone fireplace and vaulted ceilings. Enjoy beautiful views and sunsets from the french doors and deck. Entertain and relax by the pool, outdoor barbecue and private yard. Play horseshoes, ping pong or Bocce ball, or just relax with a good book in the quiet, private setting.
The home sleeps eight comfortably. The home has two Mater Suites, each with a king bed and private bath. The third bedroom has a queen bed and the last bedroom has two single beds that can be easily converted to a king. These last two bedrooms share a hall bath.
Take advantage of the formal dining room for entertaining or share informal meals and snacks at the counter and in the family room or on the patio by the pool.
The family room is equipped with Cable TV that includes HBO, Cinemax, Stars, Showtime and other movie channels. You will also find a BlueRay DVD and CD Player and Ipod hook up.
Iron, Hair Dryers and washer and dryer are included for your convenience.
ACTIVITIES
Bike to local Sonoma Wineries, be sure to add a day to stroll down Sonoma's shaded streets with historic homes and shop at the Historic Sonoma Plaza, and dine in some of the wine countries best restaurants all just 5 minutes away. Both the Napa Valley and Marin County are just a short 10 to 20 minute drive.
Get a relaxing massage or spa treatment at one of many spas in Sonoma, Napa or Calistoga. For a more private or romantic occasion choose to have your massage right at your country retreat, next to the sparkling pool, under the shade trees, overlooking the beautiful surrounding vineyard.
A favorite local activity is the Tuesday Night Farmers Market held on the Sonoma Plaza (starts mid April through October - 5pm to dusk). Enjoy local produce, flowers, crafts, food and music. Bring a bottle of wine and picnic in the historic Sonoma Plaza park!
For race fans, Infinion Raceway is just a 10 minute drive down beautiful Hwy 121. Sun and racing by day, romance and candle light by night!
Visit Bodega Bay, Dillon Beach and the beautiful Sonoma County Coast Line. Or drive to San Francisco to shop, dine and site see. You can be to both of these destinations in an hour or less.
Check out the City of Sonoma website calendar and plan to come for one of the many special events Sonoma offers. Just to name a few, Sonoma Valley Film Festival, The Red and White Ball, Sonoma Jazz Festival, BR Cohn Fall Music Festivle, or one of the local Shakespeare performances.

I stayed at this home with a group of friends for a wedding in Sonoma and the Fieldstone Country Retreat couldn't have been better. One of the cleanest, most well equipped vacation rentals I've ever stayed in - there's an outdoor ping pong table, a bocce ball court, heated pool, several outdoor seating areas, a grill with enough counter space to cook a full meal outdoors, high quality bedding, a great indoor/outdoor stereo system and more. Perfect for several couples.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

We were looking at several properties for our family vacation in Sonoma, and I can't imagine finding one that would be better. The house was beautifully decorated, so comfortable, roomy and organized so well! We cooked in the kitchen every night, and it was well-appointed. We also used vegetables and herbs from the garden! So many small things were provided that made us feel so welcome - a bottle of wine, robes, beach towels, laundry detergent, games, etc., etc. After wine tasting every day we were anxious to get home and cool off in the beautiful pool and then relax in one of the many seating areas. We loved the bocce ball court, the fruit trees, the vineyard beyond, and even enjoyed hearing the cows and the peacocks in the evening. The stars were amazing at night. It was a perfect home for our group, and we're already dreaming about coming back again!!

This house is amazing! The photos truly do not do it justice. The beds are so comfortable and everything we needed - whether it be in the kitchen or pantry, extra towels or blankets, games - everything was there! The outdoor pool area, grill, bocce ball, and vineyard scenery were gorgeous! If only it was warmer we would have spent all of our time out there. The fresh cut flowers, apples, herbs, and tomatoes outside were a special touch. The owners were very accomodating and the house was in pristine shape when we arrived. I hope to return one day for another wonderful and relaxing vacation!

Spent 4 nights in this wonderful home and couldn't recommend it more highly. From the homemade cookies to the individual bathrobes we felt welcomed and comfortable. Decorating is superb and the outdoor areas numerous and inviting. The pictures don't do it justice. Location is superb for all the wine tasting, dining out or just plain staying in with family or friends. We will come back again!

This was the perfect site for the wedding of my dreams. The house and its owners were very warm, welcoming and accommodating. The ceremony took place under a canopy of grape vines and the reception overlooked beautiful flowers, vineyards and an unbelievable sunset. The perfect mixture of the charm of the country and the class and romance of the Napa Valley wine country.

"We rented Fieldstone for our wedding weekend and couldn't be more pleased. The huge backyard was ideal for entertaining and perfectly fit our needs for a relaxed rehearsal dinner barbecue. “The Fieldstone Country Retreat met all my expectations and then some. The pictures do not do it justice. The house was incredibly comfortable (exceptional beds!) and perfect for entertaining. The backyard is amazing - warm pool, beautiful seating areas, large bbq w/ a refrigerator outdoors next to the grill, beautifully landscaped w/ flowers and herbs, and an amazing view! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. A warm, comfortable house with everything we needed. Between the kids playing in the pool all day and my husband and I relaxing with a glass of wine on the deck at sunset, I'd say it was the ideal getaway for us all.
