Lower Level - Large recreation area with tile floors, foosball, pool, and ping-pong table, along with a huge selection of books and games. One Q room with a full-sized crib and another bedroom with 2 T beds. Living area with wood burning fireplace, flat screen cable TV/DVD/VCR, wet bar, stereo, W/D, and full refrigerator.
Main Floor - Large living and dining area with gas burning fireplace, flat screen TV/DVD, and i-Pod stereo. Two rooms with Q beds, (one Q with master bath), and one bedroom with 2 T beds.

With an abundance of room inside and out, you can sit in the screened in porch to enjoy the ocean breeze or head up to the rooftop deck for ocean viewing. There is even a garage to house your boat! This cottage is located on a private access street with private beach access. Take the available beach buggy and beach chairs over the dune to enjoy the sun and surf.

Our family has been traveling to the Outer Banks for many years. We wanted a home where our children could build fond memories. While we rent the property through much of the year, we still take time to enjoy the house, the area, and - of course - the beach!
Why the Owner Chose Southern Shores
We chose to purchase a home in Southern Shores after renting in the area for many years. We like the proximity to major shops and restaurants, but also enjoy the solitude of the surounding living oak trees.
With two young children, we also wanted a property that would be safe for children to access the beach and play (we are on a dead end, no public access street). There are no roads to cross to get to the beach and we are close enough so lugging all the beach gear - and hot children - is not too much of a hassle! (We are approimately 75 yards to the beach access.)
