Watch the activity on the ocean, beach and pool from the convenience of your third-floor living room or balcony. The fishing boats, kayaks, cyclists, walkers, runners, shellers, and various activities can be seen, not to mention the playful dolphins. Enjoy the sound of the ocean. There are 50 shops and many excellent seafood restaurants within walking distance. Golf, fishing and tennis are nearby. Bike rentals are available with bike and hiking paths galore. Park your car for the week as it is not needed.
324 Breakers is our home away from home and hopefully you will feel the same way. The bedroom has a queen-size bed. Tom's leather sectional in the living room has a queen-size pull-out bed. My side is a chaise perfect for beach gazing. There is one bunk bed in the hallway with additional overhead storage. The large LCD TV with cable in the living room has a built in DVD. There is a smaller LCD TV with cable in the bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with icemaker refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, cooking utensils. The kitchen was re-done last winter (2011) with all new large and small appliances and countertops. This condo also has a full size washer and dryer, ceiling fans, air conditioning/heating.
I am an avid reader and have left a library of "sandy" beach books for all to enjoy. There is also a selection of DVD's to relax with after a long sunny day on the beach.
Family vacationers preferred. Spring Breakers need not inquire. Reservations not accepted less than 30 days prior to arrival. Maximum three adults. Pets are NOT allowed per Association Rules. No smoking. These rules are strictly enforced.

The Breakers was the perfect location. It's close to everything. I spent a lot of time looking at units here and felt this one was the perfect view, perfect space, and the best price of all the Breakers units I saw on VRBO. The unit is exactly as pictured. The owner was very helpful and timely with her end of the transaction. The pool is not large but was big enough for all to enjoy. It's also worth mentioning that the pool must be salt water instead of chlorine. No burning eyes or faded suits.There is a very nice boardwalk to the beach with showers to rinse off the sand afterwards. The 3rd floor view was worth every stair I climbed. Be sure you walk down to Coligny Park and people watch. It's a lovely place to relax and people watch. This was our 2nd trip to HHI. We'll be back again next year in this same unit.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children.

What a shock to walk into a condo and find dirty, unswept carpets throughout(old dried food, clumps of dust and dirt on carpet and along baseboards), a dirty dish towel with coffee grounds and hair on it lying on kitchen counter, dust on cabinet in living room was quite bad(dusted it myself), black dirt on different areas of sofa that I had to wipe off, bunk bed sheets had hair on them as well and a cock roach beside the couch. The bathroom is awful and tub/shower looks dirty(black bottom) and drains very slow. The photos that they show of this condo are very misleading to say the least! I should NEVER have had to clean this condo myself after arriving for our vacation, but couldn't stand the surroundings as they were. Huge spider found in bathroom to start my first mornng in this place and 2 days later a large black bug found in kitchen before breakfast...totally disgusting. The inside of fridge was not clean either. I called the owners immediately on arrival at numbers they gave,left a message and never heard from them the entire week. I found the number of their cleaning service and called them myself...they said they did clean the place. I don't know what they're paid to do, but the cleaning fee included in our rental week was a rip off to say the least. The condo has had few updates so if you want modern, up-to-date accomodations you may want to reconsider. The only positive thing I can say about this condo is the view of the ocean was good. We will return to HHI, but we will definately stay elsewhere!
Owner response:Unfortunately I did not receive the phone messages in a timely manner in which to respond. For the first time in more years that I can remember we went on a family vacation thanks to a generous Christmas present from my father. We had no cell or internet service and did not realize how refreshing that would be. I was at the condo this past week and met with the head of the cleaning company. He said he would be more than happy to address any concerns if called and asked. His card is on the refrigerator. The tub was "snaked" this week by a professional plumber. It is amazing what sand can do to a shower in a short period of time. Am I going to make everyone happy there? No. Is everything always going to be perfect? No. All I can do is try. We love the condo. We love Hilton Head. It is a wonderful place. And yes, there are bugs. I encountered a few myself!

This bunk bed listing was misleading. It only has 1 mattress - 1 twin with storage above. Not a good fit for us since we were planning for 2 kids to sleep on the "bunk bed".
