An 8 day trip This apartment is all about great location. A block from Av de L’Opéra and the Pyramides Metro station, 2 blocks from the Tuileries and another 2 minutes to the Louvre or Angelina’s! The Monoprix grocery store is right around the corner, also on Av de l’Opéra. The apartment is true to the photos, clean and small, but space is well designed and we didn’t have any need for more space as we were mostly out. We opened the windows on both sides and found a lovely cross breeze each afternoon. We picked up juice, fruit, snacks and ate in 1 evening which made the oven and fridge very nice to have. The private laundry was also useful as we did laundry mid week which allowed us to bring fewer clothes. There is a wonderful bakery where we picked up croissants, éclairs and quiche almost daily (Yannick Martin Patisserie – left out the front door, 1 block and turn right on Rue Saint Honoré). Very close to all the shopping up and down Rue de Rivoli. We walked at most 30-40 minutes to many tourist attractions such as the Marché Maubert in the 5th arr , Notre Dame and home from the Champs Elysee. We highly recommend using the metro close by for things further out such as Versailles or Eiffel tower. The location also causes a few downsides due to city noise since it’s on the corner of a building that meant there are streets on 2 sides. The loading location for the Monoprix starts receiving trucks at approx 6 am on weekdays and at least 1 of us was woken by a truck backing up each morning. There is also an elementary school slightly down across from the front door on street level which can be noisy at drop off (7:30 am ish) and pick-up times (4:30 pm) if that kind of noise bothers you but it didn’t us. There is some renovation construction currently taking place on the building directly across which is being gutted and it started around 7 am daily, probably for a period of a few months. We consider ourselves generally fit (in our 40s) but the 4th fl walk-up(what we would consider the 5th in US/Canada) spiral staircase was steep bringing our suitcases up. We only returned once or twice daily but the stairs were rough at the end of long days of walking. Wifi was sketchy for the first couple days but the owners did come to fix it and the remainder of the trip it was just fine. The double pullout couch really wasn’t as comfortable as described by other reviewers but it certainly wasn’t the worst either. Overall a great place with good location.

My husband and I stayed in this charming flat for 6 nights over New Years. Anne and her husband expertly maximized every inch of that apartment and the thought that went into designing it is apparent. The kitchen has everything you need and there is plenty of space to put your clothes. The fold-away bed was comfortable and easy to use. The TV had some channels in English and she also had France guide books in English too. It's in an excellent location, with many of the major sites in walking distance. This includes the Louvre, Orsay, and Opera Garnier within a close distance and Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, and the Champs Elysees within a further but still walking distance. If you'd prefer to take the Metro, that's easy too because there is a stop two blocks away! As mentioned by other reviewers there is a Monoprix grocery store and other great bakeries within very close proximity. We had an issue with the shower, emailed Anne, and she had it fixed that day. We took shorter showers to make sure there were no issues after that and there were none. The walk up the spiral staircase to the apartment is a work-out (and not for any travelers with limited mobility or disabilities) but well worth it! We enjoyed our stay here.

We just loved renting this lovely apartment, it made our trip so much more amazing, you can not beat the location. Having never been to Paris I had no idea what to expect, this was so much better than I could have thought, we were in the best location, could walk everywhere, we felt safe. The apartment was clean, getting new linens half way through our stay was a perk as well. I will recommend this to everyone I know and when I go back hope to stay there again. Thank you Anne and to your daughter for everthing, again it made our trip that much more special!
Owner response:Many , many , many thanks !!! I am always very happy to feel that you enjoyed our flat and that everything was fine during your stay. Thanks again for your very kind review !!!

This little gem is exactly as described by the owner and other reviewers. Everything you need after a day of touring. A very comfortable spot to come "home" to with a bottle of wine and some fresh bread to plan your next day in Paris. Anne and Olivier provide everything you need right down to the cork screw! The Louvre is less than 10 minutes on foot. Opera Garnier 10 minutes in the other direction. Notre Dame, the Left Bank Book Sellers - all close by. Champs-Elysees to the Arc de Triomphe and on to the Eiffel Tower are all under 1 hour on foot. You see some wonderful parts of Paris along the way. There are many cafes, patisseries and shops close by. The giant Monoprix grocery is a block away. One concern for those with a disability - there are many steps up to this beautiful little 4th floor flat. Many thanks to Anne for accommodating our 11:30 am arrival after a long over night flight.
Owner response:Sorry for my so late answer !!! So much work at that time of the year ..; And a great THANK YOU for your very kind review. Yes our flat is really near every interesting places of Paris and Olivier and I are very pleased to see that you enjoyed our flat and our beautiful city !! Thanks again !!!

This flat is a perfect spot to come at the end of a day in Paris. The kitchen is compact, but has everything you need to make a great meal. The futon was a very comfortable bed, and even though my husband and I are tall people, we had no trouble with it. At night, the view of Socre Couer was nice. There is a Franprix grocery store around the next street, and St. Honoree had the best bakery and fruit market. we would definitely look to stay here again for our next visit!

My wife and I stayed in this flat in the fall of 2011. The flat is very close to two metro stations and a supermarket. It is within walking distance to the Louvre and the Opera. There are great restaurants and bakeries nearby. The flat was clean, relaxing, quite and well kept. The use of space in this flat is amazing. Email communications with Anne (the owner) was friendly and easy. Anne was very helpful. We would love to stay here again.

Charming top floor apartment with lots of light and charm. Anne, the owner, was prompt to welcome us and show us all the amenities of the apartment. We were provided additional clean towels mid -week during our 9 day stay. Anne came to our rescue when we realized we had left the US with the wrong power adapter. She loaned us the appropriate adapter the following day. The apartment is in one of the most ideal locations. You are within steps of many sites: Louvre, Tuileries Gardens and Seine River. Shops, Tourist Office, Cafes, Bakeries and Market are literally around the corner, depending on which direction you choose to stroll. It was our first VRBO experience and it was splendid. Looking forward to our next visit! Thank you again!

My husband and I spent a whirlwind 4-day trip at this property, and enjoyed it very much. The flat was charming and had all the amenities we needed. The location was Ideal! With the Louvre only minutes away, plus multiple shopping and dining choices nearby, we were able to walk most everywhere. The metro station close by was nice, but we found we were able to get by with walking and hopping on the occasional tour bus. The owners were very friendly, business-like, and accommodating . Very nice people! All-in-all, an awesome alternative to the usual hotel room! C Myers, Arizona

We just spent five great days in Paris and this amazing little apartrment made it perfect. You can see down the street to the Tuileries gardens next to the Louvre. The grocery store (Monoprix), subway (Metro) and main tourist office are all literally less than 100 metres away. The apartment itself is incredible with great little fully modern kitchen (even a dishwasher and clotheswasher machine) and eating area, satellite tv, local phone, internet - and so much character. The pictures on the website say it all - walk to everything!!! Thank you to Anne for accommodating our early arrival by giving us a place to store our luggage. You and Olivier have made a great place for people to stay and get a feel for Paris life.
Owner response:Thanks for your nice and very kind review . Olivier and I are always very touched by your kindness and pleased to see that you appreciated our flat that we made as if it was for ourselves ! Thanks again to Jeff & Juice !!!

I was so pleased with my experience with our little apartment on rue Saint Roch. the owner Anne could have not been more helpful. The apartment is on a quite section of rue Saint Roch right around the corner frome the bistros of marche du St Honore. It is a short walk to all of the major attractions of central Paris. The apartment has everything you will need to enjoy your stay including a washer so you can pack light. The building is ancient and completely restored. You really get the "Paris" feel. the owners made the entire experience so easy. We stayed for two weeks but I may return for a month next year.

We had the pleasure of staying at this apartment last week and we couldn't have been happier with our experience. It is in an amazing location and they have thought of everything in this flat, I have never seen a better use of space. Anne was a pleasure to deal with and it was great to meet you in person. We hope to come back one day and have already recommended it to friends. Anyone going to Paris who has found this apartment, don't hesitate, you won't be sorry! Thanks again Anne and Oliver!

We just spent the last 5 days at this apartment. It was a wonderful little place, and the neighborhood was ideal. The bathroom and kitchen were new and elegant and all the fixtures were new. The couch pulled out to a bed, and I was worried that the bed wouldn't be comfortable but it was actually divine - the best sleep I have had in ages, with a nice duvee. There is a cute coffee shop right down the street for your morning coffee and croissant and also a grocery store too so if you want a night in you can stop and get your wine and cheese. We absolutely loved this place - it made us feel at home in a big city and our down time spent relaxing was so much nicer than in a hotel. Definitely recommended!!
Owner response:Thank you so much for your very kind review. Olivier and I are always very pleased to make you satisfied . We want every one who comes to Paris and stay in our flat Rue Saint Roch to be as at home . If we succeed , it is wonderful for you and for us . Thanks again !!! Anne & Olivier.

The studio was exactly as described and convenient to everything. The Monoprix and tourist office are across the street. It was a few blocks to the Louvre and Tulieries, and an average 10 minute walk to just about everything. Having access to a kitchen and laundry allow one to pack less and spend less on eating out. I definitely recommend staying here.
Owner response:Many thanks for a such wonderful review !!! Me & Olivier are very satisfied and pleased to see that you appreciated our flat and also our so beautiful city ! We hope to see you next time you will come to Paris ... Kind Regards. Anne & Olivier.

We enjoyed our stay . We found the flat very clean and were met by Olivier to explain how everything worked. The location is wonderful and metro stations very nearby. Lots of cafes and monoprix was around the corner. We would have appreciated a full set of towels for the both of us and all the lights replaced especially in the bathroom, otherwise the flat was like the description. The neighborhood was charming. A great place for a short visit and 2 people.

This is the perfect pied-a-terre in Paris. You couldn't ask for a better location. It has a very well-designed kitchen and bath, and the bed is very comfortable. I'll be staying there on my next trip to Paris.

My husband and I loved this place. First of all, the location was amazing, right in the middle of the city with no shortage of things to do and a metro stop right around the corner, as well as the Louvre, the Opera, restaurants and the fabulous shopping of the Rue St-Honore. Second, the apartment itself was very comfortable and modern while retaining the charm of an older building. While small, it was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen area was more than adequate for making and serving meals when we felt like eating in. The apartment is on a corner and there are three windows, filling the place with light. There is plenty of storage space for your clothing and toiletries and the laundry room across the hall makes a longer stay comfortable. Though Paris is very cold in the wintertime, the apartment is efficiently heated. The owner was very pleasant and responsive as well. We are already dreaming of our next trip to Paris and hope to stay here again.
