This cute and quaint home is great for families, a group of friends, or couples trying to escape. The house is clean, well-maintained and had all of the amenities you could need -- washer/dryer, pots and pans, and extra linens. During my 3 day stay here, I went skiing at Pico Mountain (highly recommend!), hiked Mt. Tom (great trail for all fitness levels), hiked a longer trail at Ascutany State Park, and visited SugarBush farm (a great place to visit and pick up some great cheeses and maple syrup). The area also has many great restaurants and stores within walking distance from the house. This is my second time staying at "The Doll House" and I know it won't be my last.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This is our second time staying in the house and we enjoyed it every bit as much as the first. There is a fully stocked kitchen with almost everything you would need for most meals, which allowed us and our friends to stay in a few nights. There are two bedrooms and a living room upstairs that has a pull-out couch. It is plenty of room for a crowd. There are also two full bathrooms including a washer and dryer, which make things much easier when getting ready in the morning. The location of the house is excellent. It's just a short walk to town and there is a field across the street for playing around for children (or adults!). Woodstock is your quaint Vermont town with covered bridges, general stores, and family restaurants. It's just a short drive away to ski mountains and hiking trails for the more adventurous. We recommend choosing the "Doll House" for your stay in Woodstock. It has everything you will need and more!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

New Year's in Woodstock

I stayed here with a group of 6 during the New Year holiday and another weekend in March of 2012. Both visits were very enjoyable and the property was great. Fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking great meals, but the convenient location is walking distance (5 minutes) from downtown Woodstock restaurants and an easy drive to Lebanon, NH or Killington in either direction. The house was very clean and quickly makes you feel at home. You could easily live there for a month and never run out of things to do within a half hour drive. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone heading to VT.Owner response: We are so pleased that everyone in your group enjoyed our home and Woodstock so much! Thank you for taking the time to write reviews. We look forward to hosting you again! ~Pat and Paul

We had a great weekend at this lovely house in Woodstock, in fact, we got engaged during our visit! The house is awesome; -Equipped with all the cookware and utensils needed to cook anything from an easy breakfast to a fancy dinner, which we appreciated -Short walking distance to the downtown village of Woodstock. I recommend Bentleys for a bite to eat or a drink -Cozy rooms and extremely comfortable beds. We slept great -Clean! -Nice patio with view of large field across the street -Near many hiking trails, cute stores, Sugar farms, and ski-resorts Overall, a great place from which to base your adventure of central VT. Looking forward to returning.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Enjoyed a great weekend away and after visiting vermont several times and renting several homes I must say that this was our best experiance yet. We arrived friday to find that the owners pat and pau lhad left a great assortment of cookeis and muffins for our enjoyment whichhad been prepared fresh by a local baker. The house is very well set up and maintained and as pat and paul descibed, it is quite a quaint doll house with all the amenities including recomendations for local restaurants and attractions which we did in fact use and enjoy. Although we did not visit to ski the house is most definitely set up well for the skiier with an entire lower level set up for ski and equipment storage which keeps it all out of the way when you an enjoying the house after a long day o nthe slopes. The town of woodstock is a textbook small new england town where we were actually greeted by the police chief who was out walking on sunday morning when we walked down to a breakfast spot in thw downtown area (5 mintue walk). We simly cant wait to return and enjoy this house and town more i nthe future, most definitely one of our most enjoyable weekend getaways yet.Did you find this review helpful? Our stay in Woodstock was, as usual, divine. We could not have been more pleased with your Doll House. Everything from your clear, concise instructions to the spotless and well furnished home was appreciated. We 3 have travelled a great deal and always rent an apartment or house. We have never had a bad experience and were delighted to find ourselves so very comfortable in the Doll House. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The “treats” were delicious and a lovely surprise. The air conditioners were hardly used. Loved the baby gate! We would like to return next year for 2 weeks as our standard one week away is no longer enough. It was lovely to see our friends in the village again – especially George and Linda at the butcher shop. Please feel free to publish my comments. Thank you for sharing your Vermont home with us.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

I can't express how much we enjoyed staying at this house. A true home away from home! Pat goes to a lot of trouble making sure your stay is easy and comfortable. The house is just a few steps from town. I loved sitting on the outdoor patio in the morning to drink my coffee. Just lovely!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We used this character-filled house in Woodstock as a wonderful base for day trips through Vermont and southern New Hampshire. We found the house nicely furnished, well equipped, and comfortable. It was great to be able to take a short stroll to the shops and restaurants of Woodstock. All in all, a happy experience and one we'd recommend to other travellers.Did you find this review helpful? We stayed over the Thanksgiving break. Everything was great and as promised. Home was well-stocked with soaps, etc. It's also only a 5 minute walk to downtown Woodstock, so you can't beat the location. We had a great time!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

excellent place. Used as a ski house...20 minutes to killington and nice to be in walking distance of the town of woodstock. Nice alternative to staying at a resort. Owner has excellent taste in decorating and home was very comfortable. Also nice to have a garage when its 5 degrees out!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.
