We just returned from 7 wonderful days. I think the other reviews have hit the nail on the head. The house is spectacular, but what really makes the experience at Caida Da Agua unique is the wonderful staff and the FOOD. We turned the entire menu over to Luisa with the guidance that we loved Mexican food. Every meal was fantastic, and the food, presentation, and service is Four Seasons quality +. We had 5 kids as part of our group, and it was so convenient that they could leave the table when they were done, and the adults could hang out, talk, drink etc. We had a crew of 11, and the food and alcohol total for the week was ~$2,200, which included many (many) margaritas, 3 FULL meals each day, and snacks during happy hour every day (if there was a question if i would get tired of homemade guacomole after eating it every day, the answer is an emphatic NO). To put things in perspective, I had a colleague staying at the Four Seasons with a family of four. His wife doesn't drink, and they didn't eat breakfast every morning, but their food bill was $2,000 for the week. The service from waiting on the group during each meal, continual cocktail service poolside, and constant maid service, was omnipresent, but so friendly that it wasn't invasive at all. Everything about the house is truly top-notch (sheets, towels, furniture, fixture). My only hesitation is writing this glowing review is potentially increasing demand so we can't book a return trip next Spring Break. FYI, Kara (owner) is very professional and a delight to deal with.

It is impossible to truly capture our experience at your home in words. From the moment we arrived with your incredible staff waiting with drinks to the sad moment we left with snacks and lunch for the plane ride home, everything was perfect. Each meal was more delicious than the next...Luisa is a gem and every meal was filled with her amazing traditional recipes and love. We could not get enough of all her different salsas and will hopefully try and replicate them at home after a great cooking lesson from her. Arnoldo did everything he could to make every part of our stay perfect. He organized excursions, helped with anything we needed and was just an absolute pleasure. Jorge was a hit with all the kids because he never said no when they asked for ice cream. Every member of the staff was wonderful and if it were my home (pipe dream), I would feel incredibly lucky to have them. Your home is beautiful, but it's also incredibly clean, comfortable and homey. All of the rooms have their own charm and each one is elegant and inviting. We loved spending our evenings after dinner hanging out in the open living room. We felt very secure being on Punta Mita and anyone feeling cautious about traveling to Mexico should look no further than Punta Mita. We loved that everything is open and airy and we fought over the hammocks for sure. The beach club was great, but we never really wanted to leave all the luxury your home had to offer. This is a fabulous home for families and would be just as amazing as a getaway for a group of friends/couples. We certainly didn't want to leave, but hope we get to come back!

Kara I just wanted to write and say that we had a wonderful vacation at Caida de Agua. Arnoldo and Luisa were amazing, they catered to our every need (at all hours unfortunately), their cooking was extraordinary and the place was always so very clean. You have an excellent staff and we made sure they received above and beyond the required tips. We would love to return in the near future. Thank you again. Renetta Don’t forget Jorge too. He was great. I have never been to a place with that great of service. You have great people working for you. Blaine M. C

Hi there Kara, Where do I start. Your house is truly just divine and we couldn’t have asked for a better way for us all to finish our holiday than staying in your stunning house. We had the best time and loved every minute. The staff you have working there are so so so wonderful and hospitable. They really do Caida justice and made our stay all the more better. Louisa – what a cook – the food was amazing and Arnoldo (Arnie as we called him) was just perfect. They made our whole experience all the more richer and have helped us create memories that will last a life time. Our house waiter - I can’t pronounce his name we called him ‘H’ (Jorge) was also fabulous and the other ladies as well. I am so sad to have left as we really did have the best time. Thank you so much and we hopefully would love to return again soon. Kind regards, Kate G

Kara, My husband and I just returned from Mexico 2 weeks ago and we reminisce daily about the vacation and in particular the house. It was FABULOUS! Arnoldo and Luisa were as wonderful as they come and the food was some of the best we've had! There really was not one thing we would have changed and we hope to return next year. Kyle & Ashley S.

Kara, We had another fabulous time in your home!!!! The staff was once again incredible and the first timers could not get over how gorgeous the house is. They kept saying it is just perfect - the decor is just perfect, the layout is just perfect, the view is perfect....thought you might want to know!!! Thanks for allowing us to have our friends over - we had a total of 16 adults around the table while 8 kids had noodle fights and did cartwheels in the garden.... our Mexican friends stay at the Four Seasons but often have to rent additional rooms since the family is so large...you might have located some potential new renters with that crew! They could not stop with the compliments about the house (one gentleman is a home builder) and the food. They proclaimed the food far superior to that at the Four Seasons!!! We had a nighttime Easter Egg hunt and the cake for Mark's birthday on Sunday was just precious - it was exactly what he wanted. Attached is one of my favorite photos from our trip - this is of my 10 year old daughter at the beach - many many more fond memories were made this week so thank you again for sharing your home with us! Thanks again and I hope the rest of your weekend is relaxing! Nicole

Our trip to Caida de Agua was certainly one to remember. We arrived ready for a relaxing week and were greeted by the staff, Margiritas in hand. From there, it was what we expected and more. The house is more beautiful than the pictures show, which is amazing. We felt right at home and could not have had a better layout for our small group. Everyone had their own suite but we all wanted just to sit in the living room and gaze over the ocean views. As far as the staff, Luisa and Arnoldo were very accomodating and we became fast friends before the week was over. Luisa's cooking was healthy and delicious and Arnoldo even cut open fresh coconuts for drinks! Our concierge, Mel, did an amazing job, juggling multiple requests at once, even helping me provide new surfboards for the kids as a surprise. When my daughter came down with a stomach flu, it was all hands on deck and the staff made sure she had all she needed from a Doctor (house call!) to meds and special meals. She was back in shape in no time thanks to them! I highly recommend this beautiful property wo anyone who desires a relaxing vacation, with golf and a beautiful resort attached, while being able to enjoy the privacy and serenity that Caida de Aguga provides. Most importantly, the staff, and ownership are a pleasure to deal with and know how to make everything go perfectly! Save me a week next year!!

Dear Kara, Thank you for your extended hospitality while we stayed in your home in Punta Mita this past week. Your property is absolutely beautiful, and I am sure that you know – your staff is exceptional in every way. Luisa’s food was spectacular and Arnoldo is so warm and generous. We ate at a few different restaurants, and I was always wishing Luisa was in their kitchen! She did make the recommendation that we go to Sufi; and it was impressive. Arnoldo wanted to do nothing but please us. . . and he definitely made my baby fall in love with him. Giovanni accused Arnoldo of wanting another baby. . . Luisa shook her head. Really cute. We take many family trips and stay in many amazing properties, but your staff set this trip apart. Thank you again. Best, Lauren C

Hi Kara, My family and I had the pleasure of staying in your gorgeous home in Punta Mita last week. (We were visiting my parents, Doris and Howard C, who had rented the villa.) We thoroughly enjoyed the site, the ocean views, and the design of the house, furniture, vases, plants, wall hangings, etc. Everything was wonderful! I also wanted to let you know that Arnoldo and Luisa did a terrific job -- not only of cooking and taking care of everything, but they were gracious and friendly. My 22-year-old daughter spent a lot of time cooking with them and my son (15 yrs) did as well. We also appreciated the work that Juanita did in cleaning, etc. She was very sweet and accommodating. Thanks so much for letting us stay in such a marvelous place staffed by friendly people! Sincerely, Alison C (Boston, MA)

Dear Kara - I wanted to add my appreciation to the message my daughter Alison sent you. Our family and friends were enchanted with your wonderful house. Great views, great architecture, wonderful interiors. We all admired your excellent taste. Not only that but the house is very comfortable. And the staff, Arnoldo, Luisa, and Juanita were so kind and caring. We loved them all. The house even gave us enough shelter during our two strange days of high winds and heavy rains when we holed up in the TV room and played cards and games and watched movies. We are so grateful that we were able to be there for a month - away from the cold and snow in Chicago, Boston, etc. I am hoping we will be able to rent again next year at the same time (if my husband, Howard, and I are still in good health). Every day I think of the lovely view of the sea from the master bedroom. I hope you and your family will enjoy that lovely house for years to come. Thanks again for letting us share it for a little while. Sincerely, Doris C

Dear Kara, As we prepare to leave your beautiful house to get a little skiing done before the New Year I wanted to let you know how wonderful our first experience in Punta Mita has been. To begin with your house is not only beautiful but architecturally designed extremely well. Its deceptive simplicity is thoughtful, tasteful and fits really well into the landscape and surrounding environment. But of course like any house or hotel that accommodates a variety of guests, no matter how luxurious, it is always the team of people that host who make the difference. You have put together a group of folks who staff your house that are not only very professional but are warm, flexible and discreet. We not only felt welcome from the moment we stepped in the house but we felt like we were special! Arnoldo and Louisa with help from Alvaro, Juanita and Wendy give really, really good hospitality with just the right amount of pampering and attentiveness. They always took great pains to make sure they understood what we wanted ,were willing to learn new things and teach us about local variations. Because we are in the hotel industry we understand very well the value of have someone like Arnoldo out in front in an endeavor of this sort he is a treasure that leads his team extremely well with dignity and respect. I know you were concerned that our stay would be enjoyable, with this group led by Arnoldo and Louisa you can always be confident that your guests are going to be very happy. We will certainly recommend your house to all our friends who want a similar experience knowing you have provided a very special environment and they have provided the attentive service. Warm regards for the New Year. Margot and Tom

Dear Kara, We just stayed for 10 days at Casa Caida de Aqua in Punta Mita and had the most fabulous time. Arnoldo and Luisa were fantastic and made our stay so comfortable. They are extremely professional and at the same time, they are warm, welcoming and caring. The service they provided was exceptional. Luisa's cooking was delicious and she was very accommodating to my granddaughter who needed separate meals from the adults. Arnoldo was a superb waiter, catering to our every need, and made sure the house ran perfectly. Juanita did an excellent job of keeping the house clean and all of our laundry impeccably done. The house is lovely and worked so well for my family but the staff is what made it a home away from home and so much more relaxing than staying in a hotel. Sincerely, Susan W

Dear Kara, Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful villa. This was our first time to Punta Mita, so we weren't sure what to expect. Our friends and I enjoyed our stay at your villa immensely. I want to give a special thank you to Arnoldo and Luisa. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness, as well as a much needed ice cold margarita. They were attentive and accommodating, and we felt very pampered and indulgent. The stunning villa, the beautiful view, and the attentive staff made our trip unforgettable. We enjoyed our stay at Caida de Agua so much that we can't wait to do it again. Warmest regards, Ilon & Steven
