It is fully furnished, down to the last wine goblet. You will find everything that you need for a relaxing getaway - gourmet kitchen,
quality linens, bath and beach towels, gas fireplace, DSL Wireless Internet, satellite/plasma TV, VCR or DVD (including library), stereo/CD player, and a safe for valuables while you are away.
Guests will also enjoy a separate studio with plenty of space to store any personal items, along with a washer/dryer, bikes, beach chairs, beach umbrella, and an exquisitely landscaped exterior patio with shower, patio seating and Weber Grill. The cottage is perfect for 2, but will sleep 4 with the comfortable hide abed in the living room.
Seabright Beach (also known as Castle Beach) is part of Twin Lakes State Beach. It was voted #1 by the locals, and is a top rated, five star beach in National publications. It is a wide strand of beautiful, soft sand that is bordered on the west by the mouth of the San Lorenzo River and Santa Cruz Boardwalk, and to the east by the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor. It is excellent for family outings, beachcombing, jogging, swimming, body surfing, skim boarding, volleyball, evening bonfires and viewing incredible sunsets.
From the cottage, it is just a short scenic stroll to the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor, or to the Historic Santa Cruz Boardwalk via the train trestle, yet it is separated from all of the hubbub! And the local neighborhood of Seabright itself is known for its restaurants, cafes, coffee houses and Natural History Museum with a climbing whale - all nestled amongst the beach bungalows with a Victorian backdrop. (Both the neighborhood, and Seabright Beach are consistently voted among the best by the Santa Cruz locals.) And just a quick bike ride or a little longer walk finds you in the infamous downtown area - where you will find an eclectic mix of restaurants, shops, theatres and "local entertainment".

What a lovely little cottage with its own garden, just up the block from the beach. The place is pristine & airy, and the roses were blooming even in December. I have no complaints except that my stay wasn't long enough. The owners have thought of everything, and the locale, near popular restaurants and a package store as well as the town's favorite neighborhood beach, is ideal. I hope to be back again soon!

I have just returned from a weekend stay at this amazing little cottage! It's just steps from the beach, in a quiet little neighborhood... fully stocked with everything you could possibly need.... and just a hop skip and a jump away from the boardwalk... Bright and clean... so incredibly comfortable... I need to book another weekend there to take advantage of all this little gem has to offer. Leisa, the owner, was really easy to work with! I definitely recommend this cottage - really lovely!

We really enjoyed our stay at this neat little cottage. Very clean and in a perfect location just a few houses away from the beach. We would definitely book this place again! House is very well equipped with everything from coffee makers to beach chairs. You can tell the owners really care about the place and take pride in keeping it nice. Two thumbs up!

The beach cottage was everything the description stated and more. Very comfortable--just like home feel. Has everything needed from bikes-to beach buckets. The house is very bright, fresh, clean and new. Just need to bring a toothbrush along!

This was exactly what my family was looking for. We could walk to the beach, walk to few restaurants and short 5-10 min drive to boardwalk or downtown shops/restaurants. House is true to the description...newly renovated, has everything you might need to feel at home/go to the beach, very well taken care of. Owners were also very responsive. We went when it was too cold to do most beach activities, so we didn't go in the garage to see what beach items they had until our last day, but they also had a couple of bikes I believe are for people to use, too. I wish I'd known that.
Recommended for:Families with young children.

If you're looking for a beach vacation house, you can't get much better than this cottage. It's an easy two minute walk to the sand - just a couple of houses off the main access area to the best swimming/playing beach in Santa Cruz. There are also several great restaurants and coffee shops within minutes by foot at the harbor or in the Seabright neighborhood. Whole Foods and Safeway are both about 5 minutes by car. The boardwalk is less than a mile walk. We drove around and looked at the other places we had considered renting on VRBO and for a family beach trip, none of them were as convenient as this one. The owners were prompt and very pleasant in all our correspondence. They also clearly took time and effort to make the house attractive and to stock it with everything you could possibly want or need for a comforable stay, including all the goods for day trips - coolers, beach chairs, towels, toys, etc. My husband, young daughter and I are so happy we rented this place. If we go to Santa Cruz again, we'd definitely rent it again!
