The Neighborhood of Caribe, a gated beach-side community of 119 homes and home sites, is one of Destin's most sought-after vacation spots. Located just west of the Sandestin Resort, the neighborhood boasts two community pools, a tennis court, lush tropical landscaping and private dune walkovers to the sugary beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. Just minutes away, you can enjoy great shopping at the Destin Commons, Silver Sands Outlet Mall, Grand Boulevard, and Baytowne Wharf, as well as fabulous restaurants, and other local entertainment.
Mafolie is a professionally decorated, 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath retreat, featuring a large front porch with 2 seating areas and a back-yard sundeck. There is an outdoor shower by the back door for your après-beach/pool sand/chlorine removal ritual. Our home has recently been professionally re-landscaped for your enjoyment.
The main floor features a fully-equipped gourmet, eat-in kitchen with breakfast bar and TV, dining room with beautiful swimsuit-safe chairs, living room with large sectional, 42” flat screen TV, built-in entertainment (radio/CD/DVD), wireless network with cable modem connection to the Internet (if you really can’t escape reality), powder room, and separate laundry room. The kitchen features cherrywood cabinets, granite countertops and stainless steel sinks (yes, there are two…) and appliances.
The focal point of the main level is the master bedroom which features a Tommy Bahama queen bed, armoire and dresser, huge walk-in closet, and TV. The master bath has a large walk-in travertine shower, travertine floors, separate water closet and beautiful granite countertop.
Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a full bath with a jetted tub. Each bedroom also has its own vanity with lavatory, mirror, lighting and extra plug-ins, so that you can eliminate waiting time if you are sharing… Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs, a queen bed, a large chest of drawers and a chair for relaxing. Each spacious closet has a luggage stand.
Beach chairs and umbrella rental/set ups are available for additional cost.
You must be at least age 25 to book. We do not accept vacationing students or chaperoned groups. Anyone who is under the age of 25 and not married must be accompanied by a legal guardian or parent. Other booking restrictions may apply. Please call for details.

The Neighborhood of Caribe is one of the most sought after addresses in the Destin area. We had friends who had a home in Caribe, where we were fortunate to vacation. When the opportunity to purchase in Caribe presented itself, we jumped on it!

The things we enjoy most about staying at our vacation home are relaxing in the peace and quiet of our wonderful neighborhood of Caribe; listening to the birds chirping in the morning as we relax on the front porch; hanging out on our cushy sofa in the living room while we read or watch television; and experiencing the bright, open spaces of our main living area and bedroom.

The owners are two very busy people who have always loved to vacation at the beach. We are a consultant and small business owner and an administrator in a metro Atlanta school district. We have designed our home for relaxing and entertaining - and to be our retirement home - and want our guests to feel that they are staying in a unique environment - not a cookie cutter beach rental.
