If you are a respectful and mature group or a family with well behaved children you will enjoy a wonderful apartment on the Left Bank. The apartment building is quiet and we expect our guests to respect the tranquility of its residents. It is not a hotel nor is it party central. It is located in the Heart of the 7th Arrondissement, located off the Avenue de la Bourdonnais and faces a quiet street. The neighborhood is one of the safest in Paris and a favorite of famous personalities and discerning visitors. The apartment is equipped with two air conditioning units in the family room/guest bedroom and master bedroom. This exceptional property, can accommodate 6 persons comfortably. The apartment could accomodate seven but it will be exceptionally 'cozy'! Helpful French people will great you upon your arrival along with a bottle of wine and sparkling water. One will feel like a true Parisian going into a completely furnished apartment while visiting Paris! Open the inside windows Tuesday thru Sunday to smell the fresh baked pastries. Sorry, no smoking or pets are allowed!
I have completely renovated, furnished and decorated the apartment in the Fall of 2008. If you can appreciate and treat this two-bedroom (each with a queen bed), two bath apartment, complete with a separate living area (a queen sofa sleeper) as your second home, I am sure you will enjoy your stay in Paris. The apartment is but a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower! Take an evening stroll to the Eiffel Tower and watch a dazzling strobe light display. This building is completely secure and is located on the second floor (3rd American), with easy elevator access! The building designed by Pierre De Taille and was constructed in 1905. A true Parisian building!
The apartment is over 625 square feet in size and contains nearly all the amenities one could use during one’s stay in Paris. The kitchen is fully equipped… but why bother when there are so many wonderful Bistros, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants nearby! The facility is also equipped with a washer and dryer, hair dryers, iron and ironing board, two flat screen TV's, a DVD player and internet access. The wood floors were recently refinished and adorned with Asian rugs.
Minutes away are the rue St. Dominic with wonderful local shops, pharmacies, grocers, coffee shops and bakeries for your enjoyment. A few blocks down rue St. Dominic is the rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in Paris and features the best green grocers, patisseries, delicatessens, wine merchants, cheese merchants, fish shops and butchers in Paris. Food is a passion for Parisians and there are numerous Zaggot rated restaurants located in close proximity to the apartment.
Paris is a walking city and from our apartment one is centrally located to all of the Parisian attractions! The Champ-Elysees is approximately a fifteen minute walk! The Seine and the “Bateaux Mouches” river tour are about a 5 minute walk. There are also multiple gardens to visit, sit, read and enjoy the ambiance of Paris!
There are several bicycle rental stands nearby to enjoy the sights of the city. A suggestion for your first day in Paris is to take one of the open air busses to get a good idea of where the major sights are located in Paris.
Transportation throughout the city is extremely convenient. If you prefer not to walk everywhere, there are several bus stops and metros nearby, which go in different directions of the city. The Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D’Orsay, Marais and Sacre Cour are but minutes, by public transportation, from your door step. The RER from the airport is located a few blocks from the apartment and only requires a simple transfer at St. Micheal. This train will also take you to Versailles. Bicycles can easily be rented at the end of the street for easy transportation throughout the city!
All taxes, linens, towels, gas, electricity and cleaning (cleaning included with minimum of 7 day stay), are included. The apartment also has a Pack'n'Play for infants.
Our guests can be met at the apartment by our representative who is very familiar with the neighborhood. He or she will also show you the technical features of the apartment and answer questions you may have.

Live Like a Parisian in the Shadow of the Eiffel Tower ~(A/C)~
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7
I chose this location for its proximity to the Eiffel Tower, the tranquil neighborhood and transportation locations, which are conveniently close. The neighborhood is not full of the commercial traffic one experiences in other parts of the city. The tourist attractions and shopping locations are within walking distance for one's enjoyment.
The taxi ride to and from the airport is reasonable and the apartment is easily located. If you are comfortable with adventure, one could also take the train from the airport.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
You can enjoy waking up in the morning, opening the front door of the apartment and smelling the aroma of the freshly baked pastries and breads drifting from the bakery on the ground floor. Guests can load up a back pack with Paris books and camera and explore. One can occasionally stop for a beer or glass of wine throughout the day and enjoy the ambiance of the city. Many times too, one could stop in one of the beautiful gardens located through out Paris and read.
Gucci, Prada, Harry Winston, Channel, Salvadore Feragamo and other upper scale stores
You can take this train to Versaille. You can also take it in the opposite direction to the St. Michelle station and transfer to the CDG airport
Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 7
I purchased this apartment in Paris after searching for over six years! I often travel to Paris for business and can explore the sights between appointments. The evenings are reserved for a fabulous dinner at one of the many favorite restaurants! (There is a listing of many enjoyable in the apartment book). Many of these are located on the same block as the apartment! A leisurely stroll home from dinner, with the lights of the Eiffel Tower in the background, makes for a perfect night cap!

Jan 2, 2012, Dear Peter, Happy New Year from Chicago. I am still descending from our Paris high. I think it’s rare to have a travel experience that exceeds the expectations .Your apartment is spectacular, the location is perfect, we walked everywhere, it met every need. You did a great job of rehabbing it( reviewed the photos), Habib, Xavier, Helene were all very helpful. Your restaurant choices, especially nearby were great,we had my wife’s birthday at La Fontaine de Mars, my granddaughters tried escargot, oysters, all the pastries downstairs, played backgammon at night, and even quieted down when I thought they were too loud. I hope I can recommend your apartment to others in the future, and hope you will stop for a drink, coffee, or hello when you are in Chicago. Thanks for the opportunity for my wife and I to spend a wonderful week with 3 granddaughters, the memories will be with us for a long time. Sincerely, Melvin V. Gerbie MD

Four of us stayed there for four nights. The owner was very gracious and open about the property when I was dealing with him on the phone. He preferred a check rather than credit card, which was a little disconcertig in dealing over the phone with an unknown individual. Everything that I could find out about him prior to renting, looked like he was an honest individual. I found that to be true. Making arrangements to met the custodian to gain access to the property worked smoothly. The property is first class with everything that you would want in your own home. Very detailed written instructions on using all of the appliances. Stocked with basic necessities. Washer, dryer dish washer, WI Fi, telephone. An ideal neighborhood to begin exploring Paris. Less than two blocks to the Eiffel Tower.

We chose this apartment because we knew we wanted the 7e arrt., and for le Tour Eiffel's visible presence down the street. We were not disappointed! There were so many unique things about this apartment and its location, the 3 of us rested very comfortably here between explorations. Spotlessly clean, Peter's apartment had all the amenities we had missed in two earlier apartments: fluffy beds & pillows; Large showers/shower head; several English speaking channels on T.V.; American magazines and recent English-speaking movies. I'm not a Euro-phoebe at all, but these luxuries were especially appreciated after being on the road for a few weeks. The location was perfect for enjoying le Tour Eiffel and Champs de Mar as well as fine restaurants in this favorite area of Paris. We returned to Goldini's, a memorable Italian restaurant on Monte Piquet for fettuccini and truffles. Also, just down the block there were several excellent restaurants. We enjoyed gathering goodies in nearby gourmet food stores for a picnic in le Champs de Mar, too. We mastered the Metro and traveled everywhere we wanted with the help of an $.99 app for our phones. So close to the Seine, it was a joy to wake early and walk the city taking photos. I own and manage a VRBO/HomeAway rental, and consider myself a very picky guest. Not only did Peter exceed my standards, I went home with a few ideas for my own rental. I will definitely return to Peter's apartment and recommend it to all. Nothing is lost in translation here!

Great location for Bastille Day!

We visited Paris for Bastille Day and stayed 6 nights. The location of the apartment is ideal for the Eiffel Tower! Not far from the Seine, metro, and train. Plenty of choices of nearby restaurants. Our favorite was Firmin le barbier. Highly recommended! I would give this property 5 stars, except for the fact that the apartment was very small for our group of 7. We are a family of 5 and were accompanied by a couple. Our friends took the actual bedroom and we took the other "bedroom", which is a room separated from the living room by folding doors (rather than a wall). The girls slept comfortably on the living room sofa bed, but my son slept on an air mattress that leaked air and went flat by morning. The internet and phone weren't working when we arrived, but Xavier saved the day and fixed them! Thanks Xavier! Loved having the washer and dryer and two bathrooms! We would definitely consider staying here again as a family of 5. I would recommend for single families up to 6 people.
Owner response:I always appreciate the kind and generous comments from my guests. I especially pleased to hear of the enjoyment they have while visiting my home away from home! I travel to Paris about five times a year and each trip is filled with projects to make the apartment more enjoyable (I can see I need to bring a new inflatable to Paris in a few weeks! ;-) ). I agree the apartment is small for a group of seven. As per my listing I mention ‘This exceptional property, which can accommodate 6 persons comfortably’. As a convenience for my guests, my greeting service is also available the entire time you are staying in the apartment. Nothing can be more frustrating than to have something not work while you are on vacation. Especially when it comes to utilities and the internet service where the customer service people speak only French! If something is not working, give my service a call and they will be happy to assist you. These guests also discovered one of my creative designs of the apartment! My favorite reclining chair is in the second bedroom. While I am there, I can open the doors and enjoy an enlarged living area. I often relax on the recliner with a glass of wine, listen to music, read a book or watch a movie! Again, my thanks to these guests and to all who have been able to enjoy my passion for Paris!

We stayed in Peter's apartment July 1 to 11, 2011 with our two teenagers, we enjoyed the ability to eat in after a busy day of sightseeing and have some down time with a movie. It was so nice to have a washer and dryer in the apartment. The apartment had all the comforts of home with wonderful beds and linens. We picked up breakfast every morning at the bakery downstairs. The proximity to the Eiffel tower and Trocadero perfect. We highly recommend this location.

We stayed in the apartment for 8 nights with 4 teenagers. It was the perfect location and accommodation! The girls were able to practice their French at the boulangerie on rue Ste. Dominique, and the restaurant on the corner. I was able to visit all the familiar places from my time at the American University in Paris. Peter answered all of my questions and was very helpful in advance. Helene was helpful with the internet issues we had and was persistent until it was resolved. The beds and sofa bed are very comfortable. All over wonderful place. I highly recommend staying here!

My family and I stayed here for April school vacation and we can not say enough about this lovely apartment. So close to the Eiffle tower, plenty of restaurants in walking distance, and a perfect amount of space for a family of 4. Clean, beds are very comfortable and it is stocked with all the amenities you need while on vacation. We had such a lovely week and hope to return to Paris again soon.

Our week at your lovely apartment last month was absolutely perfect. From our breakfasts downstairs, to wine and cheese in the apartment after a long day of activities, my husband, daughter and son-in-law felt we had a true Parisian experience. We made a list the first day of everything we wanted to do and we managed to do it all! We agreed that our favorite museum was l'Orangerie. We had the bonus of a big labor demonstration and a bomb scare at Eiffel Tower. Your location was perfect. We found our way to the Metro, tried local restaurants and the guys were happy to hook up to your wireless when we gave them a few minutes. We will definitely recommend the rental to our many friends who go to Paris quite regularly. Thank you for sharing your lovely home. Helen and Bob
