Location: Paris Arrondissement 7, Paris, Ile-de-France (Paris Area), France, Europe (Apartment building is in the shadow of the Eiffel Tower(A/C)) View Map

Accommodations:  Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths (Sleeps 4-7)

A wonderful apartment on the Left Bank, with newly added air conditioning unit in the family room, in the Heart of the 7th Arrondissement, located off the Avenue de la Bourdonnais and faces a quiet street. The neighborhood is one of the safest in Paris and a favorite of famous personalities and discerning visitors. This exceptional property, which can accommodate 6 persons comfortably (and an additional 1 or 2 persons on an inflatable mattress - will be very cozy!!). One will feel like a true Parisian going into a completely furnished apartment while visiting Paris! Open the inside windows Tuesday thru Sunday to smell the fresh baked pastries. Sorry, no smoking or pets are allowed!

I have completely renovated, furnished and decorated the apartment in the Fall of 2008. If you can appreciate and treat this two-bedroom (each with a queen bed), two bath apartment, complete with a separate living area (a queen sofa sleeper)as your second home, I am sure you will enjoy your stay in Paris. The apartment is but a few minutes from the Eiffel Tower! Take an evening stroll to the Eiffel Tower and watch a dazzling strobe light display. This building is completely secure and is located on the second floor (3rd American), with easy elevator access! The building designed by Pierre De Taille and was constructed in 1905. A true Parisian building!

The apartment is over 600 square feet in size and contains nearly all the amenities one could use during one’s stay in Paris. The kitchen is fully equipped, but why bother when there are so many wonderful Bistros, coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants nearby! The facility is also equipped with a washer and dryer, hair dryers, iron and ironing board, two flat screen TV's, a DVD player and internet access. The wood floors were recently refinished and adorned with Asian rugs.

Minutes away is the rue St. Dominic with wonderful local shops, pharmacies, grocers, coffee shops and bakeries for your enjoyment. A few blocks down rue St. Dominic is the rue Cler, one of the most famous market streets in Paris and features the best green grocers, patisseries, delicatessens, wine merchants, cheese merchants, fish shops and butchers in Paris. Food is a passion for Parisians and there are numerous Zaggot rated restaurants located in close proximity to the apartment.

Paris is a walking city and from our apartment one is centrally located to all of the Parisian attractions! The Champ-Elysees is approximately a fifteen minute walk! The Seine and the “Bateaux Mouches” river tour is about a 5 minute walk. There are also multiple gardens to visit, sit, read and enjoy the ambiance of Paris!

There are several bicycle rental stands nearby to enjoy the sights of the city. A suggestion for your first day in Paris is to take one of the open air busses to get a good idea of where the major sights are located in Paris.

Transportation throughout the city is extremely convenient. If you prefer not to walk everywhere, there are several bus stops and metros nearby, which go in different directions of the city. The Louvre, Notre Dame, Musee D’Orsay, Marais and Sacre Cour are but minutes, by public transportation, from your door step. The RER from the airport is located a few blocks form the apartment and only requires a simple transfer at St. Micheal. This train will also take you to Versailles. Bicycles can easily be rented at the end of the street for easy transportation throughout the city!

All taxes, linens, towels, gas, electricity and cleaning (cleaning included with minimum of 7 day stay), are included. The apartment also has a Pack'n'Play for infants.

Our guests can be met at the apartment by our representative who is very familiar with the neighborhood. He or she will also show you the technical features of the apartment and answer questions you may have.

Live Like a Parisian in the Shadow of the Eiffel Tower (A/C)

Year Purchased: 2008

Why the Owner Chose Paris Arrondissement 7

I chose this location for its proximity to the Eiffel Tower, the tranquil neighborhood and transportation locations, which are conveniently close. The neighborhood is not full of the commercial traffic one experiences in other parts of the city. The tourist attractions and shopping locations are within walking distance for one's enjoyment.
The taxi ride to and from the airport is reasonable and the apartment is easily located. If you are comfortable with adventure, one could also take the train from the airport.

The Unique Benefits at this Apartment

You can enjoy waking up in the morning, opening the front door of the apartment and smelling the aroma of the freshly baked pastries and breads drifting from the bakery on the ground floor. Guests can load up a back pack with Paris books and camera and explore. One can occasionally stop for a beer or glass of wine throughout the day and enjoy the ambiance of the city. Many times too, one could stop in one of the beautiful gardens located through out Paris and read.

G
Avenue Montaigne

M

Owner's Map of Paris Arrondissement 7

I purchased this apartment in Paris after searching for over six years! I often travel to Paris for business and can explore the sights between appointments. The evenings are reserved for a fabulous dinner at one of the many favorite restaurants! (There is a listing of many enjoyable in the apartment book). Many of these are located on the same block as the apartment! A leisurely stroll home from dinner, with the lights of the Eiffel Tower in the background, makes for a perfect night cap!

    • This apartment is absolutely AMAZING!! I could not have asked for a better place to stay. It is a home away from home. It is clean, organized, and it has every possible amenity a person could ask for. They have left no stone unturned. The location is perfect. There is a metro stop a few blocks away, Eiffel Tower a block away, food places, stores, groceries, markets, etc...everything you could possibly need! I cannot say enough great things about this apartment!! I would 100% stay here again and I recommend it to everyone!! I wish I was there right now!

    • Patty and I, along with another couple, stayed at Peter's apartment in September. One always worries about renting a private place from a stranger. However, Peter was prefect to deal with, and the apartment was just as represented. The apartment was small, but with two really good beds/bedrooms, and two perfectly adequate baths. The apartment is nicely appointed. The building was in a great area--literally within a block the Eiffel Tower. Transportation was easy. The train was just several blocks away. It was easy to get on and to transfer to other trains and/or the metro. On the other hand, it was just about a mile to the Louve and all of the things around it. It was a block to the Seine and the river boat rides. Peter was helpful prior to the trip by sending us a list of suggestions/favorites. Once there, his handy man was also of good help to us. We would stay at Peter's place again (and may!). Bon Voyage! Bob & Patty

    • We stayed for 5 days in August. The greeter was very helpful and pleasant and informative. The apartment and the location are as described. There are many great places to eat nearby. The apartment is quiet and well furnished. As a place to stay in Paris I think it is marvelous. I thought the price was reasonable in comparison to other places I looked at. I'm sure I would stay there again given the chance.Transactions with the owner were prompt and businesslike.

    • In March 2009, our family spent 5 amazing nights in Paris and in this beautifully renovated apartment. We were 4 adults + 2 children and the facilities were top notch. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities we needed to live like parisiens right from the start. The owners provide an excellent reference to the local area with recommendations for dining and other activities. Location was ideal to the Eiffel tower. About 10minutes walk to nearest subway stop. Close to grocery stores and some great little restaurants. Le Firmin is just a few doors down and has a great deal for lunch during the week. Only 10minutes walk is Rue Cler market. Our family found booking this room very simple and instructions were straight forward to access the apartment. We did have to wait about an hour before being greeted at the apartment because we neglected to call upon our arrival in Paris and only called when we got to the apartment. Luckily there is a delicious bakery downstairs. Overall our family had a fabulous stay in this apartment and will definitely be back! Thank you!
