An evening drive down the Glade Top Scenic Trail, located 1/2 mile from the lodge, captures the beauty of nature and rugged terrain for which the Ozarks are most known. This 23 mile scenic trail, Missouri's only National Scenic Byway, is often referred to as the Jewel of the Mark Twain National Forest and has numerous picnic areas with restrooms.

Twenty thousand acres of the magnificent Mark Twain National Forest border three sides of the property and the nearest neighbor is one mile away.
