Mahalo nui (many thanks) for visiting Hokulani 616 at Honua Kai. Honua Kai is perched upon Kaanapali's North Beach, offering direct beach access to warm white sands and the serenity of the Pacific Ocean. Congratulations, you have just discovered the best that West Maui has to offer for a rich & relaxing Hawaiian holiday.

Suite 616 boasts an exquisite interior and an ocean view vista that is equally set to impress. The kitchen is fully appointed with stainless steel Bosch appliances and granite countertops. The lanai (balcony) provides a spectacular view of the Pacific to the South, allowing for the perfect setting to enjoy a libation or culinary delight at any time of the day. Additionally, this suite has a southern exposure which equates to more sun and less direct wind. This generates the perfect balance for tropical air conditioning. At Hokulani 616, opulence and comfort are the constant, gracefully intertwining for your happiness and relaxation.

Furthermore, our management office is literally 100 steps from Honua Kai, so you may rest assured that we can assist expeditiously if the opportunity presents itself. Upon check-in you will be personally greeted by one of our Aloha Liaisons, all of which are knowledgeable and competent. Our goal is to transition you from a long journey to a restful state in your immaculate suite, prepared for you meticulously by our superb cleaning service. When it's time play, take advantage of the complimentary 'Ohana Play Package' that includes beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, an umbrella and BBQ equipment. The Hokulani Tower has 4 Viking gas grills for your use situated between the pool and the beach.

We look forward to welcoming you to Suite 616 and are grateful for the opportunity to 'Make Maui Reality' for you. Aloha!

The condo was modern, very clean. Loved the sliding glass wall. As advertised the unit was on a wind free side of the building. Proximity to surrounding grocery stores was also excellent. Dan was there to meet us when we arrived. He was very helpful. This was a great setup for those looking for a carefree vacation, ideal for seasoned travelers. The sleep quality was excellent, very quiet at night. All in all a great place and plan to return!

We had the trip of a lifetime!! As we entered this condo for the first time, we knew that we had selected the right unit. The views of the ocean from the lanai were just incredible! My husband and I woke up by 6:00am each morning just so we could sit on the lanai and watch the whales blowing, tail slapping and breaching. What a way to begin each day!! The condo itself was beautiful and clean, exactly as shown in the pictures. Our 2 daughters were with us and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Honua Kai is a beautiful resort, the grounds and pool were all very well maintained. It was nice that the pools are spread throughout the grounds, so it never feels crowded. There were always chairs available, no matter what time you get to the pool. We truly had the most incredible vacation, and we can not wait to go back! Thanks to Chris and Dan!!

The photo's provided for this unit were very accurate. The suite is lovely, a great location and everything I needed for a perfect holiday was provided in the unit. I would highly recommend this unit to any of my family or friends. Dan was waiting when I arrived to show me around and encourage me to call if I required anything. Lots of great walks and beach visits. Mahalo to all.

Everything from the unit itself to the whole development was perfect. Chris was more than accomidating to work with a scheduling mix up that required us to come in a day earlier and stay a day longer. The unit had everything you could need and was perfect for a family of 4 (2 kids aged 8 and 5). The facilities that are on site make this place perfect for young families. We had family and friends in 2 other units and they too had nothing bad to say about anything with the Honua Kai resort. We are already planning on our holiday next year at Honua Kai in unit 616

What an awesome vacation!!! This was our first trip to Hawaii for my husband and I, and what an experience!! 616 @ Hokulani helped to make our experience memorable. All of the pre-vacation procedures were easy. The list of suggested restaurants, sites, and tips was great. We shared these ideas with other friends. The room was exactly as pictured and described. Location was great. Nearby grocery, restaurants (Duke's, pizza, breakfast, etc) was helpful. There were many amenities inside the condo that I had not expected (detergent, dryer sheets, garbage bags, etc.) that offered a nice surprise. Dan met us as soon as we arrived and went to the room with us. We did call him once for questions and we had immediate response. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. We will be returning and will stay here again. This trip was a dream come true and 616 helped to make it so. Wonderul restaurants: Duke's, Merrimans, Hula Girl, were excellent. We took a tour with Valley Isle(?) for the road to Hana. It was an 11 hour day, but I am so glad we did the tour. We drove to Haleakala ourselves and enjoyed it a lot. We did a sunset cruise on the Hula Girl catamaran. Fun fun. We went to a luau. Saw the play about the history of Hawaii. The pools at the resort were very nice. I found one that was small and was a "quiet area", so kind of for adults. Relaxing on our lanai was very nice also. Saw lizards, mongoose (Hana), and a monk seal (endangered) took a long nap on the beach in front of the resort. I feel very blessed to have had this experience. Thank you.

The place is exactly as show in pictures. Nice view to the right of Lanai. Lanai was nice and we had breakfast there every morning and afternoon nap with the overhead fan and doors open was nice and relaxing. Was great to use the sand toys, chairs for beach and we BBQ'd steaks one night. The BBQ is not personal to the unit. I thought it was on the Lanai, but it is down on the property near the pools. The pools are wonderful. There are 3 to choose from and our 22 month old daughter loved them. We went swimming every morning. The Anai market is wonderful and the panini s are yum. Get the "Pineapple Express." Great to have that market on site right down the elevator bank. The Duke's restaurant is right near the beach with a view and good for lunch. If you're going for dinner make a reservation. We didn't and there was a 45 minute wait... guess since it is the only gig on the grounds. We ended up doing take out and eating on our lanai since we couldn't wait 45 minutes with baby having to go to sleep. This unit is ideal for a baby and she could nap in the bedroom while we enjoyed the main room, kitchen and lanai. We had a great time here!!! Chris was super nice and accommodating. The only thing that I will say is the unit is close-ish to the road so you can hear some traffic noise. It is not bothersome really but it is a trade off. Being on that side you get so much privacy. Not overlooking the pools or main area you can be on your balcony and not have anyone see you or look at you which is nice. All in all we had a great time and this is a really nice unit!

We really enjoyed our stay in Condo 616 at the Honua Kai. The Condo has great views inside and out. Everything was clean and new. It was also quiet with few noises heard from other floors or condos We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We did have to make one request for snorkeling gear and Chris was able to have his assistant run it across the street within 30 minutes. The Honua Kai resort was beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed the beach and pool. We also liked the bar area at Duke's. Nice bartenders, good drinks, and the Hula Pie was awesome. Deli near the lobby was convenient and some of the fastest elevators I have been on. The beach was nice. I enjoyed the snorkeling right off the beach since there is so much coral. Sandy bottom a bit farther down the beach. The location was good. We made several trips to Lahaina and Whaler's Village and it is all just minutes away.

I am a big researcher when it comes to vacations. So when we decided we were going to Maui, I spent hours and hours researching every upscale condo and hotel on Maui. I finally decided on Honua Kai, due to a few main reasons. First of all, it is the newest condo on Maui, so it felt very modern and clean. The grounds were beautiful with multiple pools, waterslides, and waterfalls. And the ocean views from certain units were tremendous. I felt a condo would be a better value than a hotel, because the hotels were similar prices but not as nice. Also, you can cook yourself in a condo and save some money. Once we decided on Honua Kai, we had to decide which unit we wanted to rent. This is not easy because the floor plans are basically the same for each one bedroom unit. We decided on #616 because of the unobstructed wide views of both the ocean and the mountains. It was amazing to have morning coffee on the lanai while staring out at the ocean. Also, the unit was cheaper than most in the building. The owners were nice and their upscale condo made us feel like ballers! The vacation gave us many great memories. About the only negative I can think of is that the ocean in front of Honua Kai is not swimmable. But go to DT Fleming Beach, which is about 10 minutes north by car. It won a Dr. Beach award one year for best beach in the world. It was absolutely gorgeous.

The photos Honua Kai Suite 616 Hokulani were extremely accurate and we were very pleased upon arrival. Our flight was late and we called Chris once we arrived. He met us in the lobby and my boys still talk about him as if they know him personally. We only called Chris once during our 10 day stay, he responded quickly and answered any questions we had. He was super friendly and made us feel welcome right away. Checkout was easy and we got our deposit back in a timely manner. This was a magical vacation for our family… everything seemed to go like clockwork. My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary. This time we travelled with our children and loved every second of it. Our boys fell head over heels in love with Maui and the HONUA KAI. We usually have a food memory from all our vacations. We stopped to buy fresh coconut daily and picked mangos off of local mango trees. (with permission from owners of course) We saw whales, rainbows, sunrises and sunsets from our balcony. While on the SUP boards we saw turtles right at our own beach. We did body surfing, body boarding and snorkeling daily. My husband and I went for daily walks early in the morning before the boys even woke up. It was so nice having all the surrounding hotels and the option to walk on the beach or on the boardwalk. Our ultimate favorite time was on Kaanapali Beach. Hands down…a truly relaxing location. The long and short of it is that we didn’t have to even leave our property to find a little piece of paradise. In terms of the resort we were impressed. It was worth it to spend a little extra for our partial ocean view room. Next time we might even try ocean view. The beds were awesome and we had amazing sleeps every-night. The room was clean and tidy upon arrival. We didn’t really need the housekeeping…. because of the washer, dryer and dishwasher. The only thing that I missed was a real vacuum. The kitchen had everything necessary for cooking to be a breeze. It was nice to be on our own timetable regarding food…especially with kids. We used the barbeques and ate at the beach a few times as well. The variety of pools and hot-tubs was nice….Our boys enjoyed the two outside pools the most. The slide seemed pretty busy most of the time and they got tired of it pretty quickly. I have already recommended our unit to anybody who was compelled to listen to our vacation stories. We will return and will continue to recommend the property to anyone who wants a HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!!!

"Take a short drive north to this trail that offers a very different and pleasing vista of the islands than Honua Kai. Perhaps couple this with breakfast or dinner at Sea House as they are located very close to one another. "

"A magnificent trail system in Kapalua. I like to start at Flemings Beach and hike the 6.5 miles up the mountain but you can also take a shuttle leaving from the old Adventure Center directly to the top. The views are amazing and the exotic foliage offers a cool respite from the sun-drenched beaches."

"Stop in for a couple fish tacos at lunch and leave with freshly caught fish from local fisherman for the barbecue that night. Chances are good that you'll even see the day's fresh catch come through the door while you're there. Only a short drive or 20 minute walk from Honua Kai! "
