Convenient location in the North Chatham area. About a mile from downtown, beaches, golf, and grocery store and only a half mile from a fresh water pond, tennis courts and bike trail. However, if you prefer to stay home you can enjoy both a child friendly T.V. room (with game/movie closet) and a more formal adult living room. There is a separate dining room with cathedral ceiling and expandable dining room table to fit the whole family. All of the bedrooms are on the second floor away from the action and noise which is sure to continue late into the night on the first floor. The back yard has natural privacy and is ideal for games or lounging in the hammock. A large deck spans the length of the house.

One of the first things you notice about the house is the live bee's nest living beneath the back porch. This instantly captivated the attention of the five youngsters (including a baby) running around playing games. Aside from that, it was mediocre accommodations all the way. The delivery of glassware and towels indicated to me and my fellow guests that the owners seem to care. However, I would not recommend this property to friends or relatives.

This house had so much potential, unfortunately it was pretty disappointing. It was not exactly clean, and some of the rooms had an awful smell. Most of the fixtures were falling off the walls. The sheets and the mattress covers were all stained. The couches were filthy and looked like they had been picked off off the street. YUK. The good news is that I complained to the owners, and they were very responsive. They brought over brand new sheets and essential kitchen items (such as glassware). It is because of this responsiveness that I am giving them 3 stars instead of 2, or even a 1. It is really a shame that the place is in such bad shape. With just a small investment of a few thousand dollars, this place could be fantastic, however In its current state, I would not recommend this house to anyone.

My family of five stayed at the property with another family of four. The location was ideal -- close to downtown Chatham, the bike trail, and beaches. There are a couple of restaurants, a bakery, and a coffee shop within a mile or so. The master bedroom is separated into its own suite, which was ideal for us and our newborn (as well as the other people in the house). All the beds were comfy. There is a big back yard, complete with a nice deck and gas grill, which was great for the kids. The house was clean when we arrived, and the owners are very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.
