Shipyard plantation boasts 27 holes of golf, world renowned Van Der Meer tennis, over ten miles of shaded bicycle trails, multiple lagoons for catch and release fishing which makes for the premier vacation experience. Our luxury Beach walk Villa is the closest villa (FRONT ROW VILLA) to the Ocean Beach in Shipyard. This villa is also steps to a large outdoor pool with a huge sundeck. The villa is stocked with goodies for your use: golf clubs, tennis racquets, fishing poles, fishing tackle, and games. The guest is also provided with a private beach locker, right at the foot of the beach, which contains chairs and umbrellas. No need to rent any beach or play equipment when you get here !! Just sit back and relax. Rental bikes are discounted for you if you rent from Riding Tigers bike rental company just mention our property number. In the summer, a private shuttle golf cart makes a stop right in front of the villa if you don't feel like walking the 3 minutes to the ocean or want to come back to the villa to make a quick lunch. The villa boasts a spacious wrap around deck with comfy chairs and umbrellas to enjoy the moss draped live oaks and cool tropical ocean breezes. A birdfeeder provides enjoyment from its many visiting native species.
The master bedroom suite's luxuries include: Jacuzzi tub, travertine tiled bath, cabinetry, King bed with temper pedic mattress, stylish furnishings, walk-in California closet, 21 inch flat screen tv. The Living room boasts a new queen sized sofa sleeper and 42 inch flat screen TV. Gourmet kitchen with all new appliances and Granite. A comfortable dining room to enjoy your creations. Shipyard Plantation is a private gated resort community with 24 hour security. Beach walk villas are the closest villas to the Atlantic Ocean Beach with a private pool for Beach walk guests. Onsite recreational facilities include 27 holes of golf at the Shipyard Golf Club, world-class tennis at the Van Der Meer Shipyard Racquet Club and the Crowne Plaza offers weekly gym memberships and indoor pool. The most prized possession of the Shipyard plantation is the Atlantic Ocean Beach access. Golf cart shuttle service to the beach is available in the summers if you don’t care to take our three minute beach stroll. Miles of Paths wind throughout the plantation providing trails for bikers, joggers and walkers of all ages. Trails in the plantation are safe, off the major roads, and are enjoyed by children and adults. Off plantation there are endless bike paths crisscrossing the island so park your car and enjoy.
Lagoons, alligators, and island foliage provide picturesque settings. At the lagoons fish for bass and catfish, on a catch and release basis, or just relax on the park benches in quiet solitude and enjoyment. Don’t forget your Camera!

This 1200 square foot villa provides a fully supplied kitchen with utensils, plates, glasses, cookware, microwave, toaster, and full sized washer and dryer. Relax in the living room on a sofa which contains a queen sleeper. There is a TV/DVD, stereo system, wireless hot spots, fireplace and access to the deck through sliding glass doors. On the deck, there is a table, dining chairs, lounge chairs and umbrellas. There are two full baths in this villa one of which is a whirlpool Jacuzzi. The Beach walk pool is available to villa guests and is a one minute walk from this villa. A unique feature of this pool is that it provides Picnic tables, lounge chairs and areas to sit for either a place in the sun or in the shade, based upon your preference. Also just behind the villa is a Gazebo for Beach walk’s guests enjoyment.
This villa is a three minute walk to the Atlantic Ocean Beach. Additional chair rentals and umbrellas are available for rent on the beach. Also, available for rent are boogie boards, beach trikes, sailboats, and kayaks. Lifeguards are on duty usually from Easter until mid September.
The Crowne Resort Plaza Hotel is a two minute walk from the villa for your entertainment, poolside bar, and dining preferences. Restaurants, bars, outlet shopping, boating, miniature golf, and sightseeing are all within a few miles of the resort. You can walk the beach to nearby resort restaurants for an evening of fun. The popular Coligny Plaza and Harbourtown are close by, allowing you to enjoy shopping, food, and nightly entertainment. In the summer, firework displays are free at the Shelter Cove Marina one evening per week.
Recreational paths connect the entire island, so bring your bikes or walking shoes. Bikes are available at a variety of locations on the island and they deliver them free to your door upon request. A unique feature of this beach is the hard packed sand allowing you to ride your bike on the beach.

We loved everything about our stay at this villa and Hilton Head Island. Shipyard plantation was beautiful including alligators lounging in the sun, quiet neighborhood yet close to the beach and we even caught a few fish in a local pond. On a quiet day on the peach we watched many groups of dolphins playing in the shallow water and swimming along the beach. The villa was clean and had everything we needed as far as supplies and information. the owners were very prompt in answering our questions before we got there. Once we got there everything went great and we had no problem finding the villa or getting in. Overall it was a great experience.

We spent 2 weeks in HIlton Head and enjoyed this unit fully. The description was very accurate. Gail went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Everything you could think of was provided, from fishing poles to beach toys. It was perfect for me and my husband. I loved the closeness to the beach and pool. We thoroughly enjoyed renting bikes and going on our bike ride adventures! We played a lot of golf and went in many other plantations on Hilton Head and Shipyard Plantation is one of the best. I would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends and I will pass out Gail's cards to everyone I know! Thank you Gail for everything!!

We had a fantastic week in Hilton Head, thanks in large part to our accommodations. The condo was the best equipped rental we've ever stayed in. The owners thought of everything. The floor plan is great, everything was in working order, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The unit is just as shown in the photos, no surprises. We loved the deck, spent time sitting outside watching the birds. We took Gail's recommendation to pick up birdseed at the PUBLIX and the birds kept us entertained. The week was just perfect, very relaxing, gorgeous weather, and a great place to stay. T I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family. The owners were prompt to inquiries before our arrival and even provided dining recommendations once we arrived. We will definitely rent this unit again, wouldn't think twice. Anna Marie & Bob

This location was perfect for our small family; with great access to the tennis camp. Perfect balance of modern and comfort.

Everything was just fine. I do wish there was more directions on where things were ie. the pool, which way to beach etc. Maybe a map of the Beachwalk area or maps of the surrounding areas and how to get there by bike or car. We loved riding bikes in the morning, but took a few days to figure out how to get to Coligny square from the beach. I do wish we could of had our small dog with us.
Owner response:For future renters: Our maps of the entire area are located in the bookcase as you walk in the front door along with the visitor guides and coupons for the area. You can ride you bike to Coligny by going down to the beach and making a right hand turn on the beach and continue down to Coligny. Coligny has a volleyball net set up in front of it along with the Tiki Hut set up in front of it. If you get off the beach there you can ride around Coligny by bike. The pool is right behind our villa and if you stand on the back deck you can see the entrance to the pool. Beachwalk is a three minute walk to the beach . If you walk out the front door of our villa you follow the path to the beach. We have always been and always will be a non smoking, no pet villa to accommodate people that specifically ask for a very clean villa.

This villa was nicely equipped with top-notch furnishings, new kitchen appliances and whirlpool in the bathroom. The villa provided everything we needed and more, enjoyed the books and useful information. It was clean, with plenty of light, and close proximity to beach, bike trails, and many island activities. Everything in the villa matched the description on VRBO. We would definitely rent again in the future. Thanks Gail and Jim for a wonderful vacation!

This villa is very nicely appointed with attention to details that make a stay enjoyable. Lots of good, thick towels, a wonderful temperpedic mattress, books to read and maps and brochures of the island's attractions.

We've been renting vacation villas for 25 years, and this is the best "amenitized" condo we have ever enjoyed! The owners pay much attention to detail and provide many small things like real Kleenex & dish soap that you would buy, and the kitchen items are excellent quality, again like you would have in your own home; the silverware doesn't bend when you use it!! (If you have rented many vacation properties, you'll understand my aversion to cheap utensils.) The location for quick access to pool, beach, and shopping & restaurants is ideal! Riding down the beach to Java Joe's for a delicious snack or great cup of coffee was a favorite activity of mine. You can walk across the street to the Crowne Plaza for restaurant & bar, if desired The villa is well-maintained and the owners are extremely responsive to any questions/concerns. When Gail says to let her know about even minor things like light bulbs, she means it! She brought me some during my visit. We would defiinitely rent here again in the future! Thank you for allowing us to rent your villa for a wonderful vacation. My wife and I had a great time. We rented bicycles and rode all over the island. We loved the bike trails on and off the plantation . We also liked the fact that the bike trails connected the entire island which were safe and off of the road. We saw several alligators in the lagoons. We will be back next year !

My daughter and son-in-law rented this villa for me to stay in while they attended a conference nearby. I felt so at home! Everything you could possibly need (and more!) is included. It was very clean and nicely furnished. The location is unbeatable--just a short walk to the beach. I hope to return next year with my family. Thanks, Gail & Jim, for making my stay so enjoyable.
