We spent 2 weeks in HIlton Head and enjoyed this unit fully. The description was very accurate. Gail went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Everything you could think of was provided, from fishing poles to beach toys. It was perfect for me and my husband. I loved the closeness to the beach and pool. We thoroughly enjoyed renting bikes and going on our bike ride adventures! We played a lot of golf and went in many other plantations on Hilton Head and Shipyard Plantation is one of the best. I would definitely recommend this unit to family and friends and I will pass out Gail's cards to everyone I know! Thank you Gail for everything!!

We had a fantastic week in Hilton Head, thanks in large part to our accommodations. The condo was the best equipped rental we've ever stayed in. The owners thought of everything. The floor plan is great, everything was in working order, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The unit is just as shown in the photos, no surprises. We loved the deck, spent time sitting outside watching the birds. We took Gail's recommendation to pick up birdseed at the PUBLIX and the birds kept us entertained. The week was just perfect, very relaxing, gorgeous weather, and a great place to stay. T I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family. The owners were prompt to inquiries before our arrival and even provided dining recommendations once we arrived. We will definitely rent this unit again, wouldn't think twice. Anna Marie & Bob

This location was perfect for our small family; with great access to the tennis camp. Perfect balance of modern and comfort.

Van Der Meer tennis attracts people from countries throughout the world and it's right at your fingertips to watch or play whatever you desire to enhance your vacation. It's the best kept secret in shipyard plantation !

Everything was just fine. I do wish there was more directions on where things were ie. the pool, which way to beach etc. Maybe a map of the Beachwalk area or maps of the surrounding areas and how to get there by bike or car. We loved riding bikes in the morning, but took a few days to figure out how to get to Coligny square from the beach. I do wish we could of had our small dog with us.

Owner response:For future renters: Our maps of the entire area are located in the bookcase as you walk in the front door along with the visitor guides and coupons for the area. You can ride you bike to Coligny by going down to the beach and making a right hand turn on the beach and continue down to Coligny. Coligny has a volleyball net set up in front of it along with the Tiki Hut set up in front of it. If you get off the beach there you can ride around Coligny by bike. The pool is right behind our villa and if you stand on the back deck you can see the entrance to the pool. Beachwalk is a three minute walk to the beach . If you walk out the front door of our villa you follow the path to the beach. We have always been and always will be a non smoking, no pet villa to accommodate people that specifically ask for a very clean villa.

This villa was nicely equipped with top-notch furnishings, new kitchen appliances and whirlpool in the bathroom. The villa provided everything we needed and more, enjoyed the books and useful information. It was clean, with plenty of light, and close proximity to beach, bike trails, and many island activities. Everything in the villa matched the description on VRBO. We would definitely rent again in the future. Thanks Gail and Jim for a wonderful vacation!

This villa is very nicely appointed with attention to details that make a stay enjoyable. Lots of good, thick towels, a wonderful temperpedic mattress, books to read and maps and brochures of the island's attractions.

We like to provide families with all of the brochures and islands attractions because there is always so much going on here to attend they can get to read about the activities ahead of time and select what specifically interests them on this trip. We have also developed a library of books that everyone can use because it is great to take a book to the beach and enjoy a good read by the ocean. We try to provide the best vacation experience possible

Home away from home in heaven on earth!!

We've been renting vacation villas for 25 years, and this is the best "amenitized" condo we have ever enjoyed! The owners pay much attention to detail and provide many small things like real Kleenex & dish soap that you would buy, and the kitchen items are excellent quality, again like you would have in your own home; the silverware doesn't bend when you use it!! (If you have rented many vacation properties, you'll understand my aversion to cheap utensils.) The location for quick access to pool, beach, and shopping & restaurants is ideal! Riding down the beach to Java Joe's for a delicious snack or great cup of coffee was a favorite activity of mine. You can walk across the street to the Crowne Plaza for restaurant & bar, if desired The villa is well-maintained and the owners are extremely responsive to any questions/concerns. When Gail says to let her know about even minor things like light bulbs, she means it! She brought me some during my visit. We would defiinitely rent here again in the future! Thank you for allowing us to rent your villa for a wonderful vacation. My wife and I had a great time. We rented bicycles and rode all over the island. We loved the bike trails on and off the plantation . We also liked the fact that the bike trails connected the entire island which were safe and off of the road. We saw several alligators in the lagoons. We will be back next year !

My daughter and son-in-law rented this villa for me to stay in while they attended a conference nearby. I felt so at home! Everything you could possibly need (and more!) is included. We had a wonderful, relaxing week at this fabulous condo in September. This was our second stay; we were excited to get to return. The condo has a perfect location near to everything and is in Shipyard which is so beautiful. We particularly enjoy the bike trails. The condo is equipped with everything and makes the stay so nice. And we loved having the beach locker. Hilton Head is the best beach area we have ever been to and this condo is a top-rate choice. We would love to make a return visit!

My husband and I had an awesome getaway week in this beautiful villa! You have provided a comfy,lovely and updated beach home for your guests. The amenities you have thought to include left us feeling totally comfortable and the location with such close beach proximity is great!!The jacuzzi tub and higher sinks were luxurious and the updated kitchen with granite countertops and prep sink made it fun to prepare food. And we so enjoyed watching the birds at your feeder. Sometimes, we were so entertained on your sunny deck that we didn't make it to the beach! What a wonderful villa! We just got back from a fabulous week and could not have been happier with the villa- it was even nicer in person than in the pictures and the location was ideal. We were able to walk to the beach in about two minutes and having the locker at our disposal with chairs, umbrellas and a boogie board at the beach was perfect. The villa has everything you could want for a fun-filled vacation - it is extremely clean and spacious and has all the touches of a five star hotel. We will defintiely come back!

We loved everything about our stay at this villa and Hilton Head Island. Shipyard plantation was beautiful including alligators lounging in the sun, quiet neighborhood yet close to the beach and we even caught a few fish in a local pond. On a quiet day on the peach we watched many groups of dolphins playing in the shallow water and swimming along the beach. The villa was clean and had everything we needed as far as supplies and information. the owners were very prompt in answering our questions before we got there. Once we got there everything went great and we had no problem finding the villa or getting in. Overall it was a great experience.

I am writing this review so that all of your future renters know that this is truly a wonderful place to stay. My wife and I were looking for a very relaxing vacation with no stress. We flew into Savannah and did not have to bring our fishing rods, tennis racquets and golf clubs. The owner provided all of these items for our use. We rented bikes for the week and found the bicycle trails to be wonderful. We were able to bike all around on the island on secure paths that were not on the road. We fished and caught a few brim and catfish in the lagoons in the shipyard plantation. The beach was great. The owner provided beach chairs and umbrella in their locker which was right on the beach and we found that to be so convenient. We did not have to spend additional money renting chairs and umbrellas at the beach each day. Everything we needed was right at our fingertips. The owner was very pleasant to deal with. She got right back to us with any questions about hilton head island as we were new to the area. She had a wealth of information. The villa was immaculately clean, no odors or smells, just beautiful. We enjoyed the large flat screen television in the living room and in the bedroom to watch in the late evening. The restaurants we went to all had great food. The best part was that we were so active on this vacation is that my wife and I both lost five pounds !! We will be back again next year. Thank you for providing such a high quality vacation place for us to enjoy. We highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a very pleasant, stress free vacation !! Thank you.

Totally recommend!!! Beautiful Unit as described. Beach truly is a very short bike ride or 3 minute walk. Only thing missing is a tv in the bedroom and bbq to grill on, but other than that perfect. Owner a pleasure to deal with.

Owner response:thank you. tv has been added and bbq is not allowed by the regime because of fire safety. we added a jenn aire grill to the stove inside for our future guests.

This villa was wonderful. The owner promptly contacted me about the rental. The villa was extremely clean and roomy. There are two full baths, jacuzzi, granite counters, huge plasma tv in the living room. The deck is beautiful and peaceful. We were only a three minute walk from the beach. I booked already for next year and can't wait to get back. I would recommend this villa to anyone there are no surprises it is very pleasant. The owner has a locker which has all the beach chairs and umbrellas right at the beach so we didn't have to bring anything. Lovely villa !
