  Our vacation at Casa Luna de Miel was exquisite. Beyond our dreams. The location is calm, quiet and simply gorgeous. The house is so beautiful in every way - furnishings, balcony, lovely pool. We just relished it all and didn't want to come home. We walked for hours on the quiet beaches and went to the wonderful restaurants nearby. I can't imagine a more peaceful, beautiful place for a vacation. Jared and Meagan are attentive and lovely. Every request or question attended to immediately. Thank you thank you thank you.

  The four of us had a wonderful time. This house is great. Jarrod and Meghan helped plan our excursions, in-home dinners, and in-home massages. All were wonderful and the pre-planning made the entire trip even better because we had less to worry about and the companies running the tours took extra special care of us. The Zip Line Tours from Pura Aventura were great and Pete there is an Awesome host. The ATV tour (3 hours) from Action Tours in Tamarindo was wonderful with Kasey and Brian going the extra mile to make out adventure wonderful. Our two sets of massages by Francis and Louis were wonderful on the porch while listening to the surf hit the shore and the Dinners that Michelle cooked for us were outstanding. Lastly the Sunset Cruise on the Marlin Del Ray was great. We also ate at Lola's in Avellanas, Cafe Play Negra, and the Playa Negra Hotel. This vacation was a perfect blend of activities and R&R. Daily walks on the beach early in the morning were wonderful. We saw fresh sea turtle tracks from the previous night when a turtle came to lay her eggs, howler monkeys were heard and seen, and from the deck of the house I saw a whale breach. We hope to return soon!

  Casa Luna de Miel is a beautiful home with a fabulous view of the ocean and an *amazing* deck! We spent a week there over the summer and I would highly recommend it to friends going to Costa Rica. The house looks just like the online pictures - very clean & comfortable. The pool was also clean and well-maintained - perfect to jump in at all hours :) Our boys were in the pool multiple times each day. We spent a lot of time on the second floor deck reading, playing cards, watching the the view, and just relaxing - we especially loved the hammock chair :) The sound of the ocean was incredibly calming. We also spent some time on the roof top deck... it's simply gorgeous up there... the views of the ocean, the homes, the birds and stars was out of this world! There are great beaches and surf spots minutes away. Jarrod is fantastic! He checked in regularly to make sure we had everything we needed. And the few times we needed him to come to the house for something, he was always available. He directed us to local beaches, great restaurants, nearby shopping, and answered any and all questions we had. A perfect adventure & incredible vacation in Playa Negra at the lovely Casa Luna de Miel. We can't wait to return!

  My wife and I fell in love with Costa Rica and this beautiful home before we even got on the plane. The house is amazing, the views are breathtaking, and we could not have been happier with the experience. Jarrod was wonderful in helping us from the moment we landed, helping to set up adventures and massages (I highly recommend!). The location of the house is perfect to allow for relatively easy travel to other beaches and to the other adventures (Guachipelin, etc.). We are already planning our next Costa Rica trip for next year and hope this house is available for that trip as well. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

  Casa Luna Miel (honey moon) commands one of the best ocean views on the Rancho Playa community. We stayed the whole month of January 2012. The 2nd story living area (ground floor is garage, washer/dryer and owner storage) commands a 270 degree view of the Pacific Ocean. As a photographer, I was blessed with the best view of spectacular sunsets every evening. The star gazing widow's walk up on the roof was heavenly with the Milky Way stretched across the nighttime sky. The porches wrapped around 3 full sides of the house let you choose sunny or shaded locations throughout the day and the pool is steps below. The owner's, who are obviously surfers from the photos and boards on display, have fully outfitted the kitchen and provided the most extensive DVD collection you will ever find on vacation. It's a little tricky figuring out the remote controls and getting the DVD source correct on the TV menu, but it is do-able. I think this house is perfect for either 1-2 couples or a family with 1-3 children (as long as the children can get along in the second bedroom with it's one bunk bed and 1 queen bed.) Jarrod & Meaghan Guidry, who run Playa Negra Beach Rentals and Real Estate, are outstanding hosts who go out of their way to make you welcome and at home in Playa Negra. In addition to getting you settled in, they are happy to provide concierge-like services to arrange and side trips and recommendations for dining, sightseeing, etc.

  We enjoyed our stay at Luna de Miel. The house is very spacious specially the social area, fairly independent from neighboring houses of similar quality, all in an enclosed townhouse. The house has everything to make your stay enjoyable. Great views, nice pool. Ocean front where you can go and feel the ocean, but if you want to swim, snorkel o surf, be prepare to walk (7 min.) or drive for a swim but it is worth it. Water is clean and good waves. Management gave us all the help we needed, very friendly and cooperative.

  Casa Luna Miel was the PERFECT house for our vacation. It very comfortably fit my wife and I, our two young children and their grandmother, and had the feel of a high-end villa in a luxury resort. With the very large living area, huge balcony, the stargazing deck on top of the house, large bedrooms, wonderful pool, and the beach just steps from the house, there was more than enough space to enjoy the company of family in a variety of different settings, watch the mesmerizing sunsets and crashing waves, or to get away for some peace and quiet to read a book or take a siesta in one of the cozy hammocks. Adding a little luxury on top of luxury, we had Chef Karen come to the house twice to cook dinner (highly recommended!), and had Frances and Luis come to the house twice for couples’ massages (a no-brainer). Horseback riding on the beach was a true treat, and it was nice being on a very quiet section of the beach, but just a short walk to the Playa Negra Hotel for lunch, drinks or both. Jarrod and Meaghan were extremely accommodating, taking the time to get to know us and helping us to really personalize our vacation so that we did exactly the right amount of sightseeing, shopping, dining, outdoor activities and relaxing. We are a non-surfing family, and had the vacation of a lifetime – I can only imagine how fulfilling it must be for die-hard surfers. Our normal vacation route takes us to Florida most years, to either Ft Myers or Orlando, and we’re always ready to come back home at the end of those weeks – and sometimes earlier. Not so with this one – I can see how vacations here turn into relocations and new lifestyles. I’ve been showing off pictures of our vacation and the house to (envious!) friends and co-workers, and would love to help get some of the fence-sitters off to Costa Rica to get a taste of our new go-to vacation spot. This is the first travel experience we’ve ever had that I’ve felt strongly enough about to write a review. And I couldn’t endorse the house, Playa Negra Vacation Rentals, Jarrod and Meaghan, and Costa Rica strongly enough. Thanks for everything! The Kinsky Family, Framingham MA

  My husband and I were sorely in need of a mini-vacation as we are missionaries serving in Nicaragua. We were looking for a nice, affordable yet quiet and safe place right on the ocean, where we could rest, refresh and recharge. We thought we were looking for the impossible. We were more than pleased to have found the "impossible" in this lovely home. It was absolutely more (and far nicer) than we expected and we felt so blessed to have been able to stay there. The house was very clean and well-maintained and to walk in to the ceiling fans going and have beautiful music greet us was such a nice touch. It felt very comfortable and homey immediately. From our first communique to our final good-bye, Jarrod was wonderful to work with...giving us the privacy we wanted while making sure we weren't in need of anything. We would highly recommend this area and this property and I can say emphatically, that if we have another opportunity to vacation there, we absolutely would.

  We had such a lovely time at this fantastic house! It is RIGHT on the beach, gorgeous views (especially from the rooftop lookout), excellent decor. The home was outfitted with everything we needed to relax, including Sky TV, DVDs, and an infinity pool. We did not want to leave! I would highly recommend this house. Jarrod with Playa Negra Rentals was a dream to work with. Overall, a great place to get away from it all!

  This is a wonderful property. My family and i spent a month in this home. It felt just like a vacation paradise!! We have a 5 year old daughter and this was a perfect house for us. The location of this house is amazing as are the sunset veiw's! Breath taking. The pool is great because you have the choice of the beach or pool. My daughter and i would bounce back and forth between the too. This house is very large for a 2 bedroom/2 bath. The wrap around decks with ocean views and great napping hammocks are fabulous. Very close to some good restaurants and awesome surf breaks too. The owner really did this right. Our family will be going back there for as many years as the owner will let us. I would highly recommend this home for you next vacation.

  Beautiful property! My husband I stayed here for 4 nights of our honeymoon and absolutely loved it! The kitchen, bathrooms, and bedrooms were great, the pool is incredible, and the moon deck is a very romantic touch. Mary is a wonderful, helpful host and made sure we had a great stay. We would definitely stay here again!
