For a three week stay this was a fabulous solution for me and my husband. Quiet. Birds. Secluded. Attractive yard. Well equipped kitchen. Big TV. Good internet. Cool even without turning on the A/C which was also helpful in high heat. good nhood for health food, urban walking/biking and other things. a university nhood when school's out is very relaxing. CLEAN. Superhelpful owners when it came to our confusion with wireless or needing an obscure kitchen tool. (Also recommended for that: local thrift shops.) hyperlocal treats: Cacti. Xeriscaped yards. Food Conspiracy Coop. Time Market. Local treats: Teresa's Mosaic Cafe. Tooley's Cafe for turkey tacos. El Ranchito for chile rellenos. Cheri's Desert Harvest. Mac's Indian Jewelry. Desert Museum before the heat of the day. no qualms -- go there.

I got a short notice transfer to Tucson and really needed long term accommodations at an affordable price. I saw the ad and called immediately because the price was too good to be true. After talking to Debra, she quickly put my mind at ease. I arrived and the studio is absolutely gorgeous. It looks exactly like the photos online and give you the feeling that you still at home. I had all the accommodations of home (kitchen, Internet, patio area), including the privacy and sense of comfort that comes with being home. The proximity to 4th Ave, where all of the shops, restaurants, and bars are located was definitely a plus. The prime location between work and play made my lfe easier. Whether you are looking to stay a few days or a few weeks as I did, you will not find a better deal in Tucson. I will definitely be boarding my out or town business associates here in the future. This place turned a stressful situation into into an awesome welcoming experience to Tucson. 5 stars!!!!!!!!

We planned on staying several days, but ended up in the funky yellow house with the matching yellow hibiscus for 2 weeks! It was an enjoyable stay. We Canadians loved the walled cactus garden. Eating the special southern Mexican fusion cuisine at Mother Hubbard's, just a few blocks north, was memorable and we particularly liked the dish with cactus. There's a cute patio and the birds singing in the morning and afternoon is really charming. We were visiting U of AZ - it was a great location for that, and also close to downtown and easy to get out of town as well. I'd love to come back and paint for a week.

I had a wonderful and comfortable stay here! What a cozy and well located area! Very clean and contemporary. Campus and shopping are just blocks away, no need to drive. This to me is vintage Tucson, and classy as well!

We loved this place and the owners and can't wait to return. The house is beautifully furnished and fully appointed, more than ample for two people, inexpensive, located w/in walking distance of U of A, 4th Ave shopping, and downtown, and it is close to major streets (Speedway and Stone) and about one minute from Interstate 10. There is a small walled courtyard, and private parking. The owners are fabulous--flexible, helpful, and interesting. The Internet went down when we were there, and the owners did everything possible to get the Internet provider to fix things. Meanwhile, they advised us on local attractions and directions, things that we would have used the Internet for. The owners also operate a nearby restaurant, Mother Hubbard's, that has wonderful breakfasts and lunches. The specials when we visited included out-of-this-world pumpkin pancakes and a "memories of spring quiche," made with fresh asparagus and morel mushrooms. We've never had a better quiche. You can't do wrong with this rental.

I had a lovely 5-week stay at Casa Amarilla. The studio is beautifully furnished, and it's a short walk to U of A and 4th Avenue. The owners are friendly and helpful, too. I would love to stay here again the next time I'm in Tucson.

As a first-time visitor to Tucson, I was warmly received by Casa Amarilla and am looking forward to a return visit...traveling solo, I found the studio to be safe, comfortable and altogether charming, plus an easy commute (walk or bike) to campus. I would highly recommend this property to others looking for a lovely and affordable alternative to hotel-living while in the city of Tucson. The place is thoughtfully appointed, clean and cozy. Can't wait to get back!

Great location, the unit was spotless and beautiful on arrival. Numerous small but greatly appreciated items such as coffee, tea and sugar, extra blankets and some toiletries were provided. I would love to stay here again.
