Ocean Beach is located where interstate 8 meets the Pacific Ocean.

It is 15 minutes from the San Diego Airport and 15 minutes from the Santa Fe Train Station.

This remodeled Spanish style house can sleep 6 with a queen in one bedroom, a double in the other, and a double pullout sofa in the living room. It has hardwood floors, gas fireplace in the living room, separate diningroom, fully enclosed patio with a gas grill, and fully equipped kitchen.

It is one block from one of the best beaches in San Diego, a great surf beach with two coves, and so beautiful it is a favorite wedding location. The terrain in "O.B" is flat which makes walking easy. You can walk to the pier - join the locals fishing, dining, or just hang out and watch the surfers; go to the largest antique district in San Diego on Newport Avenue, a mere four blocks distance; Newport Avenue is also home to a Farmers Market every Wednesday. Enjoy swimming, surfing, boogie boarding, snorkeling- the kelp forests are amazing-, or just work on your tan.

There are many dining opportunities within walking distance, including two four star restaurants. There are regular and organic food stores in "O.B." if you decide to stay home and BBQ- there is a gas grill is available on the patio.

Ocean Beach has easy access to many world class attractions such as Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, the Wild animal park, Lego Land,
Torrey Pines Golf course, horse racing in Del Mar. The trolley will take you 17 miles south to the Mexican Border, where you can walk over a foot bridge and enter a foreign country. Please note a passport is required for re-entry into the United States.

  • Our stay in this beautiful home was such a pleasure!!! It had all the comforts you can think of, Joan was even kind enough to supply toys and a high chair for our daughter! The location is perfect...only minutes to the beach, the awesome Ocean Beach pier, and the great shops on Newport Avenue. I can't wait to return! Thanks again Joan for the beautiful Pooh Bear you gave to our daughter. I highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a cozy place to stay. Cheers, Danielle

  • We stayed here for a week at the end of March. What a nice surprise! Then house was conveniently located - just a short three-minute walk to a small quiet beach, or a longer 10-minute walk to OB and the pier; also a short walk to restaurants, shops, church, library, and grocery store. Even though the house wasn't big, there was plenty of room for the three of us. The house had everything we needed. We got a lot of use out of the outdoor patio. We really enjoyed ourselves and wouldn't hesitate to return. Thanks, Joan!!
