This luxurious home is located on the east end of Sanibel in the neighborhood of Anchor's Away, just a short walk from the Sanibel Marina. We are located on a direct access canal and have a private boat dock that can accommodate up to a 21 foot motorboat with outboard motor.
The minimimum stay is 28 nights -- no weekly rental requests, please.
The home was recently remodeled (completed in March 2008) with no expense spared. Soaring ceilings, luxury amenities and state of the art appliances await you during your stay.
Sanibel is a 7 mile island off of the coast of Fort Myers beach on Florida's south central gulf coast. The beaches of Sanibel are a major attraction with some of the best shelling in the western hemisphere. The island is very environmentally conscious with over 2/3 of the island dedicated to wildlife refuge. Sanibel's most famous refuge, J.N. "Ding" Darling Wildlife Refuge, covers almost half of the island, and includes hiking, biking, driving and paddling trails.
The remainder of the island has no traffic lights, no roads wider than two lanes and no fast food restaurants. Bikers, walkers and roller-bladers can enjoy over 21 miles of paved bike paths. There is also live theatre, festivals, art galleries and unique shops all over the island. Diners can enjoy a multitude of tastes including romantic dining for two at a jazz club or a funky, eclectic outdoor patio for a grouper sandwich and fries. Relaxation is key here!

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes
My family has been vacation on Sanibel Island since the 70's. It only seemed fitting to purchase a home here in hopes that we can someday retire!
My boys have been coming to Sanibel all of there lives and they love it! They have made many friends in our neighborhood and are known as "Tom and Huck." They know all of the neighborhood dogs and kids, for certain. Our family still spends many holidays there and we still dream of the day when we don't have to pack up and head north!

What a beautiful home you have and how grateful we are that you've shared it with us. For that last five years our family has spent our summer vacation on Sanibel and we obviously enjoy it enough to keep coming back. But we've all decided that this year was the best, not only because your house is so lovely, but also your attention to detail has made us feel so welcome. Thank you for that. We had an amazing time this summer. Your house is absolutely beautiful and luxurious. Your kitchen was well-stocked and all your amenities made us feel like royalty. My family truly enjoyed the pool and countless hours of coming up with races and obstacles in the pool. Watching movies was out of this world! What an awesome surround sound! The kitchen was a dream and it makes me want to be a professional chef. The ovens were a joy to bake in. My family and I enjoyed the peace and tranquility we found in your home and the natural light coming in was even more serence. Thank you for letting us stay in your home!

Thanks for the stay in your beautiful home. The fishing in the canal was always exciting, not knowing what you would hook. The beaches all over the island were always quiet and relaxing. The golf was good and we did not experience a bad meal. Once again, thank you!
