  Centrally located this small hotel was almost like being at home. Our family of 5 rented two of the top floor rooms for a few days after Easter. Our space was ENORMOUS as we took the "apartment", which included a large fully equipped kitchen, huge bedroom with seating area and full bath. Our children had a room down the hall which had two beds, cot, couch, full dining area and full bath. This room also had STUNNING views of the morning sunrise over the Alps! We chose this hotel due to its proximity to Neuschwanstein, Linderhof, Oberammergau, and Wieskirche. Returning from our German castle tours we felt like royalty as Karl always had a wonderful breakfast spread for us and was incredibly accommodating. The area restaurants were also lovely (especially Firenze Eis Cafe and KurPark). This hotel should be the first place to search availability if touring in Bavaria's castle region or if you are heading to the Passion play in Oberammergau.

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

  We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it. The apartment was extremely clean and contained everything we needed and more. The location of Bad Kohlgrub is ideal for access to the Bavarian attractions and even Munich is just an hour and a half away. We do suggest you rent a GPS for your trip as the apartment and many of the places you should see are a bit out of the touristy areas (which we found very nice)! Carl and Ursula were very helpful with providing information to make our trip as pleasant as possible. They even told us about some excellent local churches to visit. Don't miss these! They are not where most tourists go but they were well worth the few minutes to get there! Danke, Carl and Ursala! Sincerely, Rich and Marilyn

  We really enjoyed our stay here. The description is accurate. The apartment was modern, clean and contained everything one needs for cooking in an apartment. The location (Bad Kohlgrub) is ideal for access to the Bavarian attractions and a local train can get you to Munich in less than 90 minutes. Carl was very helpful with tourist information and gave us invaluable advice for attending Oktoberfest in Munich (take the train!). We really enjoyed our stay here. Danke, Carl and Ursala!

  We really enjoyed our stay- the owners were very helpful with local information and made us feel welcome. The house is situated well for exploring the area. It was the best part of our Bavarian vacation! Danke.
