The house is very well appointed, had amazing views and was just perfect for us. There was plenty of space for all six of us and the house had everything we needed. The location is ideal. The kids just ran out on their own to play in the dunes while we watched them from the house. Our entire family would walk out the back door and just keep walking on the beach for hours - stopping, starting, building and splashing. We only got into the car twice all week -- for a busy mom of four - that is a true vacation.

Our family of five arrived in Manzanita having no idea what we were getting into as far as a vacation on the Oregon Coast. We knew nothing of Manzanita other then what we had read and what owner, Kay Sabich, was able to share with us! Kay was helpful in answering any and all questions via email and phone. The trip was AWESOME! Kay's house was fantastic - plenty large with a great deck for viewing sunrises and sunsets. The home is well-appointed and maintained with large table for eating and plenty of sitting rooms, washer and dryer and flatscreen TV - a must for the kids after long days on the beach and on the road. Great, big kitchen! The view of the beach gorgeous. And the beach is wonderful to walk on, ride on, build campfires on, fly kites on... The house is conveniently located near numerous towns and sightseeing/tourist activities. Our family loved not only the house but the entire week on the Oregon Coast! Have fun!

We are mournfully leaving your beautiful home, going back to Texas and double the heat! We really loved our three days in Manzanita, and your beachhouse was the perfect way to unwind! Such comfortable beds, great kitchen set up for family meals with everything we need to cook, even a grill outside! Your suggestions of great places to see and best restaurants were very thoughtful, and so right! We found the best spots in Wheeler, in Nehalem, and Manzanita, especially our favorite, the Blue Star Cafe in Wheeler. We went kayaking, visited the Tillamook Cheese Factory, gorged on ice cream, and built a raging fire & cooked s'mores on the beach, just a few feet away from our back door! Watching the surfers windsurf from our own beach was amazing, and my son, Noah, built a sandcastle and dug holes to his heart's content. Everything was spotlessly clean in the house, and it was exactly as we had hoped from your pictures. We would recommend your beach house to any size family, from a group of 3 like us to a bigger group of 8-10. The dining table seated 8 comfortably, and beds for all! Thank you for making our stay so pleasurable!

We really enjoyed our stay in this vacation home!! Even though the weather wasn't really sunny, we still enjoyed sitting on the deck and watching the fog roll in and out and over Neakahnie. This home is perfect for our family of four! My in-laws live in Manzanita and we’ve stayed in several rental homes over the ten years that we’ve been coming down to visit and vacation. This home is, by far, my favorite so far! It’s perfect for our five-year-old little boy who is in a wheelchair and for our seven-year-old who is about as active as they get! The box of sand toys has been a HUGE hit with them! And we don’t even need to go down to the beach! They just go off the deck and dig right in front of the house on the dunes! It’s perfect! Again, we truly enjoyed the home and couldn’t be happier with the space. We even discovered the fire pit outside the deck! We sat out one night, under a beautiful starry sky and made S’mores and enjoyed the fire - right outside the back door!! We hope to return here again and again! It was a fantastic family vacation!!

Kay, Our family loved your beautiful beach home and the weather cooperated too. Friday and Sat. were quite pleasant so we spent lots of time on the beach. The location of your home is absolutely perfect with the wonderful view of the ocean and walking access to town. What dates do you have left for the summer? Also do you have any times less than a week in late August? Or Sept? Alice"

"Dear Kay, Just a note to let you know how much we enjoyed The Beach House! The grandkids and their cousins who visited really enjoyed being able to go to the "mountains" to play in the dunes without our supervision. The house is so open and yet private, it worked very well. We had 37 relatives in 6 separate homes for the week and we hosted dinner and s'mores one night. You'd have thought there were 15 people, the house holds them so comfortably. Again, a wonderful vacation spot!. Thank you, Rick" (Returning again in 2010.)

"We had a great time at your beautiful beach house! The location is perfect, the way you decorated is beautiful and we loved all of your cook's tools in the kitchen! We have rented many places in Manzanita and yours is the best kitchen in terms of layout and supplies. Thanks! (Note - returning for their third visit July, 2010.)
