Your own 2 bedroom, 2 bath tropical oasis home surrounded by the sparkling turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Imagine being a willing castaway on your own private island! The perfect vacation, honeymoon hideaway, or just a quiet place to re-charge and relieve stress. Our home features ceiling fans, air conditioning, bamboo & rattan furniture, TV, VCR & stereo. The living room cathedral ceiling has exposed wood beams with a mix of wood & tile flooring. The master suite features a sunken Jacuzzi tub with walk-in double head shower and king size bed. The second bedroom has a full bed and private bath. Panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico extend from every room in this quaint cottage. French doors lead from the great room to a screened front porch (perfect for corporate board meetings or a romantic dinner) and to a side covered deck which is the ideal location for sunset viewing. A wonderful way to begin and end your day in the Keys! The kitchen offers a breakfast bar stocked with cooking & dining equipment as well as modern appliances. The island is supplied with all of it's utilities (electricity, fresh water & telephone) piped underwater from the mainland. A washer and dryer is also on site. Landscaped board walks surround the cottage for strolls around the island. This ancient, exposed reef features native vegetation of silver buttonwood, black mangroves, sea grapes, pitch apples which attract a variety of migrating & resident birds. The quintessential keys scenes are of occasional visiting dolphins, manatees, parrot & angel fish swimming in crystal clear warm waters, roosting pelicans, great herons fishing, and flocks of sea gulls overhead. Snorkeling around the island is memorable and awesome. We provide parking on the mainland, a 4 passenger boat for shore to island transportation, kayaks and snorkel gear. Be sure to visit Marathon take advantage of their many fine restaurants, shops, golf courses, fishing opportunities and Florida vacation activities!
