Spacious Victorian Garden Apartment in Historic Irvington
Year Purchased: 2002
Why the Owner Chose Portland
We lived in San Francisco for over 20 years and our sense is that Portland is like what Sanfrancisco used to be lilke 60 years ago -- the knider, gentler, friendlier, more accesible and less expensive version of wht at San Francisco has become as it has grown into the suburbs and become more expensive. Portland is said to be the #1 city for attracting 18 to 34 year olds (as a % of population) and is also attracting many Baby Boomers who do not want to retire south.
The Unique Benefits at this Garden Apartment
You can walk to the light rail in 12 mintues and it takes you to the Convention Center, the Rose Garden Arena and downtown for free. You can also walk to 18 movie screens and many restaurants and shops. Just to our north is a beautiful historic neighborhood filled with big house with gardens and trees. So there is much you can do without having to drive.
