Escape and imagine waking to the tranquility of a loon call as a spectacular sunrise cascades into your master bedroom. You arise and walk out onto your large deck overlooking the water - just a stones throw away from the sandy shore. You savor your first cup of coffee and admire the beauty of one of the cleanest and clearest lakes in Maine, the colorful lanscaped perennials, and imagine all of the endless possibilities for your day. These can be yours at the cottage, on the waters edge of Sand Pond.

You can have it all. The cottage is located one half mile down a private country road - safe to wander and explore. Your cottage includes 80 feet of private sandy waterfront with a large dock and private mooring for larger boats. Sand Pond is part of a chain of four connecting Tacoma Lakes - which provide the avid boater with miles of boating and watersports fun. Feel free to bring your own boat as a beautiful public boat launch is nearby. Catch up to ten-pound largemouth bass right from your shore or try your hand at other warm water game fish.

The cottage is less than 30 feet from the water and is situated in a no-wake zone for quiet relaxation. Families with small children will find it to be ideal in that the shoreline is sandy and shallow - as it is perfect for wading - yet the clean clear waters have depths up to 85 feet. A screened in porch affords a fantastic view of the lake.Two large picnic tables, a gas grill on a separate deck, and a firepit provide endless lazy lunches, champagne lobster bakes, and marshmallow toasting under moonlit skies. There's plenty of room for tenting if desired. For the kids - there is a swingset and a large sandy play area for sandcastles.

The cottage itself has spectacular waterviews from every room.The loft area has two double beds and two twin beds. Newly added loft skylights, ceiling fans, and windows add to a waterview panorama. The cathedral loft area is decorated in newly refinished Pine from floor to ceiling. There is a King size bed in the Master bedroom which is located downstairs with sliding glass doors to a new deck overlooking the water.The living room has a full sized couch and loveseat.The Pine kitchen has a new breakfast bar area, a full sized electric stove and two refrigerators. Enjoy your meals in the dining room, the waterside deck, or from the screened in porch. Wildlife watchers will enjoy bird watching -and you may even see deer along the shore.

Whether its the laughter of children, the mystical cries of the loons, the smell of the barbeque, or the crackling of the firepit - you will always remember your Summer on Sand Pond.
