This 3 bedroom 2.5 bath, 3 level country home sits on a 1.7 acre lot! Sleeps 4 adults, 2 toddlers and room for 4 more on provided air mattresses for huge basement area. Easy access to Rte 29. 10 minutes from CHO airport, 20 mins from Amtrak. 45 minutes from Richmond. 1.5 hours from DC. Parking for 3 cars and plenty of street parking available.
The community is filled with mature trees, and has lots of privacy and wildlife. You will come and hear the birds and woodpeckers as well as smell the forest. The front porch hosts 2 rocking chairs. This is a great place to drink coffee and read the paper in the morning! There's lots to do in the area. I can help you plan your trip if you want.
On the main level you will find:
Powder room and fully appointed kitchen. A dinette in the eat-in kitchen(seats 4-6), Living room (with full HD, digital cable, wired surround sound, huge flat screen, HD- and blue ray DVD players, PS3 and games). There is a nice office with a huge desk and comfy chair & cable internet access. Sorry, computer/printer not provided. Formal dining room seats 8. The kitchen area has 2 access doors to the large deck, which has a picnic area for 6-8 and seating area for 4. The back yard is huge, level and room for a gathering, games, etc. There is also a private basketball court to play on!!!
The basement area is finished with a sofa & chair and large open area for the air mattresses (great place to keep kids on vacation.. they'd have fun down there... all together). It also has a small bar and refrigerator. This would be a great place to host a gathering or party too!
On the top floor you will find:
The master bedroom - sleeps 2 in a SOFT king bed. IN the master is a flat screen TV with DVD player & cable access. The private bath has a huge jacuzzi tub for 2 and a separate shower. The guest room sleeps 2 and is VERY comfortable. The kids room sleeps 2 toddlers (max 55 inches tall) and it is packed w/ toys for girls and boys. The laundry area and washer & dryer are on the top level too. There is a full bathroom for the guests and kids to share.
Come, make huge meals with all the gadgets in the kitchen. Everything you need is here! Grill out on the deck. Come make coffee, sit outside in the rocking chairs. Kids can play video games, watch DVDs on the incredible 45" HD tv in surround sound... The sound is amazing...by the way!
The home has central heating and air, 4 ceiling fans and a dual-zone ac heat system. Upstairs can be set to HOT and downstairs can be set to COOL if you want! Linens / towels are provided.
What do do:
- UVA: within 20 minutes.
- John Paul Jones Arena: within a 20 minute drive.
- Vineyards: Horton, Barboursville and Burnley vineyards are within
10 minutes..
- Skiing @ Massanutten and Wintergreen are within a 45 min drive.
- Shopping- We are close to Food Lion, Sheetz & the video store
(for groceries/gas) and 15 minutes from all-you-can-imagine
shopping! You have access to all the major dept stores plus all
the cute boutiques in the city.
- Towns nearby: We are 20 minutes drive to the town of Orange and
Charlottesville.
- The Pavilion has Friday Night Live on Fridays in
the summer. It hosts headlining bands too!
- Theaters: There are a few live theaters all in an easy drive.
- Cville attractions: The Charlottesville downtown mall is great
for boutique
shopping, dining and hanging out.
- Going out: The "Corner" is a great for b'fast, lunches and
dinners, or great as a late night college hangout -- many bars
and restaurants. Locally, we have many bars and restaurants in a
3-5 minute drive nearby.
- Biking: We have 2 adult bikes, 1 girls bike and 1 boys bike w/
training wheels available for use.
- Lakes: The Chris Greene Lake park has swimming and a beach during
the summer. Its fun and pretty!! That is 10 minutes away. Lake
Anna is 45 minutes away where you can take or rent a boat!
- Shenandoah: You can take a hike / drive in the Shenandoah
mountains, access is 15 minutes away.
- Water Park: Massanutten has a crazy water park for kids...great
in the summer AND the winter.
- Stonefire Station: 10 minutes away
- Outdoor activities: camping, golfing, hiking, horseback riding,
ride in a hot air balloon...
- Massage therapist can be set up to come to the house.! Local
spas!
- Boars Head Inn is within 20 minutes.
- Games: Video & board games are provided.
- Reading: Books and magazines are provided.
- Movies: Some movies are available. There are a few movie theaters
nearby. Also, you can rent from Movie Gallery nearby.

BOOKING / TERMS:
Must be at least 30 years of age. In order to book, a signed lease will be required AS WELL AS proof of your ID/license. This is our home, we need to make sure its taken care of.
In order to book 50% down is required PLUS the security deposit.
So if the weekly rent is $2,000; you must put $1,000 down plus the $500 deposit = total of $1,500 to book. 30 days before checking in, you must pay the remainder. In this case, would be $1,000.
After you check out, and if there are no repairs or stolen/broken items, we'll refund the deposit. There are no taxes, maid fees, insurance fees. These are all included in price.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cancel more than 30 days before checking in, your full amount will be refunded. If you cancel 29 days or less, before checking in, there will be a $100 rental fee. This can be refunded if the home is rented out for the same time frame to another customer.
KEYS/ACCESS:
Once the full amount has been paid we'll provide you the lockbox code to the home. |
