This newly built, modern 3-Bedroom, 2 Bath family vacation house is all you need while adventuring into the National Park and surrounding areas. You'll enjoy cooking all your meals on new appliances, relaxing in front of the flat screen TV or just putting in a load of laundry.
It is Quiet, comfortable, and clean ~ and no annoying chirping coqui frogs or leaf blowers to bother you here!
DIRECTIONS: Just turn in at the 24 mile marker onto Alii Koa Street, go up 3 blocks and turn right on Mokuna, turn LEFT at the first driveway and pull into the covered car port.
FYI: Volcano Village is located at approximately 3800' above sea level. It is cool and refreshing here, often misty and cloud-like. There is much to absorb including the mystique and folklore surrounding Madame Pele. Volcano Village is about up the road just a mile from the Volcanoes National Park.
You can stock up with supplies and the two general stores, visit several art galleries, have lunch or dinner at several great restaurants, or grab some goodies at the farmer's market on Sundays. There are many things to do and places to see, all within an a couple miles drive of this home.
You might also want to check out the beautiful orchid farm just down the street or spend some time up on the 18-hole golf course located on the other side of the National Park; just up from there is the southern most winery in the USA!
On the rim of the National Park are two spectacular places to visit: the Volcano Golf and Country Club and the southern most winery in the USA.
All in all, this is just one heck of great place to stay while you're exploring the Big Island's most popular tourist attraction, the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

We built this brand, new 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom house from the ground up with loving care. We had expectations to sell it during the past housing boom.
To our dismay, the current down turn in the economy and real estate, we decided to make it available to families or groups of travelers visiting the National Park instead. Make our misfortune your gain and take advantage of this comfortable, modern house!

Aloha! I am a State of Hawaii, Dept. of Education elementary school teaching. I have been teaching for the past 20 years at Mt. View School, located about 15 miles toward Hilo.
Together, my husband and I ~ Robert, also opened up a Bed and Breakfast in the Volcano Village in 2000 to accommodate the many travelers on their way to explore the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Since then, we've renovated, upgraded, and celebrated the expansion of it to (4) full-sized suites, three with kitchenettes, private entrances, and huge covered deck overlooking the property.
We love it here, and certainly want to share our Mokuna house or B&B with you.
