We enjoyed our stay, the condo was excellent, everything worked perfectly and was in new condition. The owners description is totally accurate regarding the operation, location and view. In the past we have stayed in five other units, this one is by far the best. Maui weather is awesome and has never let us down. We will be back and this is the condo of choice for us.

The description was very accurate on the location and rental's appearance and amenities. The condo was clean and well-maintained. I would recommend this unit to friends and relatives. It is well-located to reach any of the nearby restaurants, beaches, and boardwalk by walking or a short drive.

Jan 4-25, 2012. This was our 13th visit to Maui and the second time we've stayed in this wonderful luxuriously appointed condo. Doug & Jackie go the extra mile to make each visit special and take pride in their unit. Everything from the towels & bedding to the kitchen dishes to pots & pans were of the finest quality you don't usually find in rental units. We could see sunsets from the lanai and, as always, enjoyed the beautiful grounds at Kamaole. The beach across the street provided lots of enjoyment too, when the tradewinds were blowing. Our 'must do list' always includes lunch at Hali'imaile General Store and a visit to the Maui School of Massage, stores and galleries in Makawao. We love this unit so much that we have already enquired as to availability when we next visit this magical Island of Maui.

Kamaole Sands

Our condo was updated to a level not likely shared by other units in the complex. Perfect for empty nester, king bed and sheets were perfect. The kitchen area was excellent, the TV sitting area was excellent. The patio was Excellent, the view was great. The condo was very well outfitted and neat as a pin. No bugs. Bedroom location was noisy likely due in part to the design of the hallways. In addition this is a family complex and the number of children present during our stay was a big reason for the noise we experienced. A air conditioner in the bedroom would have helped to block this out. The outside noise is why we cannot rate this unit perfect.

We have many repeat guests. Building Five is well known as the quietest location in the complex. This guest also informed us that the tropical birds were too noisy.....

Lovely Upgraded Maui condo!

This is our second stay in this unit. . The attention to detail is terrific... The view from the lanai allows perfect ocean views to watch the sunset.. The bed is fantastic and the bedding so comfortable.. . You are provided with beach towels, beach chairs, beach umbrella and even boogie boards. The kitchen cookware is really wonderful. . We have been coming to Maui for 11 years and have always stayed at Kamaole Sands this is the best unit without a doubt! Walking distance to the beach. It is not too far to the Shops of Wailea and many restaurants. Doug and Jackie are very gracious owners!

Beautiful Condo and Super Great Value with Extra Ammenities

We just returned from ten beautiful days at this condo. Doug and Jackie have truly hit the mark with their condo and extra amenities they share with their guests. We have visited the Kamaole Sands for nearly yearly for 20 years now and this condo is hands down the best we have stayed. The quality of furnishings, tasteful decor, bedding and towels make this condo a 10+. The kitchen is well stocked with quality cookware and everything you could possibly need in a kitchen. We were very appreciative of have use of the Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrella and collapsable cooler. I can't say how many times we have purchased like items to only leave them behind. Thank you Doug and Jackie for sharing your piece of paradise.

Condo very clean, well located, quiet, very nicely decorated, so comfortable it feels like home. Oceanview from the lanai, excellent for breakfast. Close to restaurants, grocery, beaches, etc. Everything you need for the beach available, no need to even bother with beach towels. Simply fabulous, 2 weeks in Paradise.

Doug and Jackie, thank you so much for looking out for your guests in such an impressive and caring way. Entering your condo after a long flight was a delight. It is beautifully decorated so one can feel at home right a way. The lanai offers a lovely view of the ocean and sunsets in the evening. You have thought of everything, from a greeting basket on the granite kitchen counter and all the kitchen items one could want when away from home are first class. The bedroom is something else. After a long day on the beach and sightseeing, when you finally retire for the evening, the bed is so confortable that only the thought of another day on Maui will get you out of bed. Relaxing time at Maui

Thank you very much for the use of your condo. We could not have had a nicer time. Eating breakfast and dinner on the lanai was one of the highlights and listening to the many birds singing at dawn and dusk was a wonderful experience. The unit was great. Great bed, linens, wonderful towels, and very open and airy feeling. We walked daily to Starbucks and then back , swam in the afternoon, and dinner's on the lanai. Super, duper relaxing. When we return to Maui we will definitely contact you about renting your unit again. Thanks again.

We cannot begin to tell you how much we appreciated everything!! We arrived, weary and starving, and perhaps a bit nervous, only to walk into your emaculate, beautifully decorated condo, and to be welcomed with chocolates, nuts, coffee and water. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful place! We could not imagine any more wonderful way to celebrate our 40th anniversay. We awoke each morning to the chorus of birds, after a delighful rest on the most comfortable bed on which we have ever slept! We felt like kids! We always ate on the lanai. Hi Doug & Jackie We just wanted to say what a wonderful condo you have. Also to thank you for making the planning of our Maui trip and easy one. From the first response to our email enquiry to the prompt return for the security deposit. Everything was dealt with in such a professional manner. It was so nice that the condo was exactly as the pictures on the website had shown. The location is just great and we loved the fact that it did not get "people traffic". Being so close to the pool was fabulous for our 6 year old daughter. The condo itself is very well equipped and has everything you need. It was just a very relaxing holiday - a home away from home. We had a wonderful stay. The condo is beautifully upgraded, and well maintained. The granite counters and light colored floor tiles give a clean and airy feeling throughout the condo. The walls are tastefully decorated with lovely artwork. The location of the condo is convenient to the pool and has a beautiful view of the ocean and resort grounds. Having breakfast on the lanai and listening to the birds was so relaxing. We had our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren conveniently located right next door in the two bedroom unit, which was delightful. The owner was very helpful with useful suggestions. I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and hope to return in the future.

The condo is beautiful in every way. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Wonderful bed and the baths are tastefully done. For the size it has a very open feel. Our Wedding Trip

This is a superbly updated and sparkling condo with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We got married in Wailea and had lots of family also staying at Kamaole Sands. Our family members all envied the beautiful open kitchen and wonderful granite counter tops we had in this unit. As well as the lovely walk in shower in the master bath. Everything you need for a fun vacation is right up the street Fred's Mexican cafe has great eats & is like 3 blocks away. Snorkel Bob's for all you gear is close by. Tons of shopping and the most wonderful beaches in the world. Ulua was my favorite, we saw a sea turtle there :) The rates were great and it was so nice to work with such a knowledgeable and friendly owner. I would definitely recommend this condo and can't wait till I can come back to play.

We did a lot of searching to find a place to stay in south Maui, and we're happy that it paid off. Everything was as advertised--no hidden surprises. Clean, well-stocked condo. The owner was very helpful and accomodating and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay there to our friends.

We appreciated the refined improvements to this beautiful condo. The furnishings are comfortable and the decorator touches made this very homey. Kamaole Sands was a convenient option for the four condos we rented - each couple had their own space and we were able to enjoy our time together at the pool and BBQ area.

Deluxe condo in ideal location!

Maui has been one of our favorite worry-free vacation destinations for a number of years and this condo at Kamaole Sands was one of the best spots we've experienced. It is close to the beach but far enough from the busy Kihei roadway that we weren't disturbed by the road noise. New slate countertops, a second bathroom, new appliances, furniture and bedding provided us with clean and comfortable headquarters for our visit. The second parking stall made it possible for us to have guests over for a visit in between the large family gatherings scheduled around our nephew's wedding; and because of the proximity to Kamaole II and III we were able to spend more time at the beach than others - a definite bonus for us! Thanks Doug and Jackie! We'll be back again.

We had an excellent time in Maui and in your unit. It is very well equipped, tastefully decorated, well stocked with quality cookware and overall a very comfortable stay. We have our very good friends coming there for our honeymoon and I'm glad we made the recommendatioin. Traveling with a four month old meant lots of time spent in the condo and we really appreciated the nice tv and stereo. We miss the view from the lanai already : ) Thank you very much.

Our stay at your condo was fantastic but too short! Time goes by quickly when you are having a great time. We had relatives and friends staying at different resorts all within walking distance while we were there - we think ours was the nicest! Cleaning service was just fine-that was one of the many things we enjoyed about the condo-it was so clean, uncluttered, well equipped, & comfortable. We already have a list of things we want to see and do next year-perhaps even a longer stay. Our first experience booking with VRBO and things rolled along smoothly and positively. Mahalo!

We have been visiting Maui for 25 years, have owned 2 places and plan on retiring here. Your condo is very lovely to look at and efficient in meeting the needs of ones stay. Great linens on the beds and towels in the bathroom! The lighting fixtures and features are awesome too! The views from the lanai are delightful, love the bird's music. As we end our stay in Maui we do so with a heavy heart. Maui calls our souls. Mahalo for our lovely "home" away from home!

My wife and I stayed in this beautiful condo the first part of September. We have stayed at the Kamaole Sands before and found this unit to be far superior to what we have experienced in the past. I was very pleased to find that the pictures of the condo are a good representation of what you can expect. The hi-def big screen television was appreciated as the first NFL game of the season was on during our stay. Although with the great pool, and beautiful beach across the street we really didn't spend much time watching t.v. Thank you Doug for sharing your great condo with us.

This was our third stay in the Kamaole Sands complex, and we thought this unit was very nicely upgraded. The kitchen remodel really opened up the living room area of the condo and the bathroom remodels were a high quality upgrade from older units we have stayed in. The view from the lanai is wonderful and we loved eating meals outside taking in the beauty of the grounds and ocean view. Doug and Jackie were very easy to work with and were very quick in responses to questions about the condo or anything else about Maui. We will be recommending their unit to any of our family and friends that are headed to Maui. Thanks for making such a wonderful condo available to us as a home away from home.
