Why the Owner Chose Tahoma
I was looking for a place I could bring my two young children that would create special memories. My memories of childhood vacations at Lake Tahoe are as vivid. Special times when our family came togather and did simple things that mean so much to me now, half a century later. My little jewel of a home creates that same feeling. We enjoy sharing that feeling with our guests. Leo Chaudoir
The Unique Benefits at this House
Waking early, Taking that morning walk into Sugarpine Park and up to Lily pond, or down to the pier at our beach. Taking the bikes with my son down to Sugarpine point and fishing the drop off where General Creek dumps into Big Blue. Enjoying Meeks Bay Beach and the Hospitality of the Washoe indian tribe. The smells from the snackbar while we rent the small boats and zip out on the crystal clear lake.
Users must park on the highway and walk down hill. Cars may use temp parking to unload
Locals enter the park here for hiking and snowshoe and cross country sking. This entrance crosses a 50 yard forest patch and then meets the campground loops.
Park with kids play structure. Summertime has Saturday night movies under the stars. Sunday morning church services.
Beautiful Beach, Camping Facilities, Restrooms, Boat rentals & Launch. Washoe Indian reservation Managed by Washoe tribe members. Parking fee
Great intro to Fishing run by the parks dept. Free fishing for Kids 14 and under. No adults. Stocked with beautiful trophy trout.

We rented Leo's house over a weekend for a small wedding. The house was clean and nicely furnished, making it very comfortable for our friends and our family. The location is exquisite with a short walk to the lake, hiking, and stores. We had a great time! Thank you!

This is a lovely home equipped with excellent appliances. Our primary concern involved matters of cleanliness such as decaying food items in the refrigerator. The bed sheets provided were very worn, dingy, and appeared unwashed. Of our 7 day stay, we dedicated 2 days to cleaning to meet satisfactory standards. During the course of our stay, the owner was vacationing in the Mt. Shasta area, where communications were minimal to nonexistent. Based upon past reviews, we were disappointed to say the least. Owner subsequently acknowledged that previous renter had left the place a mess, proposed to credit for the many cleaning discrepancies, but never followed-up.
Owner response:Travelers review was noted and changes implemented.

We stayed at Leo's house with another family over New Year's 2010/2011 and had the most wonderful time. Even though we had a brief power outage due to a crazy snowstorm - Leo's house stayed warm and cozy due to the natural gas heating and wonderful fireplace. There are toys for the little ones and one of the best stocked kitchens I've ever seen for a rental house. All in all a wonderful stay - we are hooked on both Tahoma and Leo's house and hope to return soon.
Owner response:Thank you for your kind words....Leo

I've rented a lot of homes in Tahoe and Big Bear over the years and this was the only one that lived up to its description. The home is extremely nice, well-equipped and comfortable. My husband, two small children and parents stayed at the house during a huge snow storm that lasted three days. We enjoyed building snow men in the yard, playing indoor games with the kids (there are lots of toys and board games), watching the great selection of DVDs and cooking wonderful meals in the modern kitchen. The driveway was plowed for us so we could get out as soon as the storm passed. This owner WANTS you to have a great time.

Our family of 9 rented this home for Christmas week 2007 and we had a wonderful, memorable time together in a beautiful setting. Everything about the home was perfect, and we all appreciated the many special touches that made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Thank you, Leo, for everything. The Walker Family.

This entire rental process from beginning to end, from top to bottom, has been wonderful! I appreciated the fact that Leo (the owner/manager) was very accessible and easy to work with, and true to his word. Most importantly, this home was simply beautiful. The photos and descriptions do not do this home justice. It is sparkling new, and it is obvious that no corners were cut in designing, building, and furnishing this home. I am a very discriminating traveler and am very picky about my accommodations; in fact,I stay only at the Ritz Carlton, Park Hyatt, or Mandarin Oriental hotels when on the road in larger cities. In this case, we needed to be in the Tahoma area, and this was a great substitute in lieu of a 5-star hotel. Thanks again, Leo. Sincerely, Ed
