Count the Views is a tastefully decorated 4 bedroom /4 bath cottage in the newly constructed and luxurious Pointe West resort located on the west end of Galveston island. This family friendly house is directly across from the beach walkover. With less than 150 feet away, it’s even closer than some of the beachfront homes! This home has 2 large private balconies with fabulous views of the beach and two community lagoons. It is located on a corner lot so there is extra lawn space to enjoy outdoor activities with your family.

This home has 3 king size beds and one room with 2 single beds and a trundle. There is also a queen size sleeper sofa. Linens are included with rental.

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and features granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. In addition to the basics, the kitchen has many extras such as large serving platters, food processor, large griddle, and waffle iron.

There are 5 televisions, 4 DVD players, and cable. The home also features a washer/dryer, high speed internet access, surround sound stereo, video game system, board games, bocce ball, croquette set, horseshoes, grill and outdoor cabana shower. The ground floor has a picnic table... a great place to relax and watch the kids play. It's also a convenient place to sit while unloading and cleaning off after the beach.

Both balconies have fantastic views of the beach, lagoons, large palm trees, and the beautiful Pointe West community. The bottom balcony has a large iron table and chairs and a marble top bistro table and chairs. The upstairs balcony is off the master bedroom and has 4 rocking chairs (2 adult and 2 kid sizes). The house faces east so the balconies are shaded in the evening. It’s a perfect place to enjoy the breeze and listen to the sound of the waves!

In addition to beautifully groomed and wide beaches, guests enjoy all the amenities Pointe West resort has to offer. Amenities include large infinity edge pool, hot tub, lazy river pool, children’s pool, complimentary towel service, game room, fitness facility, organized resort activities, poolside bar and restaurant. The community also has kayaks and bikes available for rent.

  • This home is even better than described! We stayed five nights and did not want to leave. We never even went into Galveston because Pointe West was so fun and the house so comfortable, well equipped and close to the beach. We enjoyed having half our family group close by in the home across the street too.

Our family had enough room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. We loved the fact that there were pools and the lazy river. I would highly recommend staying at this home. The price is right and well worth it.

  • Count the Views was as good as advertised. The house was a very short walk to the beach and a short drive to the Pointe West swimming pool. The beach and the pool kept our kids active and happy for days and the spacious deck was very relaxing for the adults at night.

  • We've just returned from a 10 day stay at Count The Views and it was fabulous. The weather, the house, the views, the beach, the pool, the lazy river, beach club, the Galveston attractions and restaurants (especially seafood). The house was perfect with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths for each of the families to have their privacy when wanted as well as the family areas were large enough for us to all be together when we wanted. The rooms were very spacious, not crowded. The baths and closet space were very ample. The two decks were a real plus with several gorgeous views from many angles. The July 4th fireworks display from many sights lasted well over an hour and were spectacular. We all just sat on the deck and enjoyed. You will not be disappointed with this Pointe West house and location to everything. We loved all of it. Great family vacation.
