Our first experience, so a little tentative, with a VRBO, but ABSOLUTELY could not have been happier. The home was beautiful, CLEAN, beds soooo comfortable. The grounds were very well kept, and true to the writeup the beach was a short walk away--very very clean, The Infinity Pool was more awesome than the pics. There were 8 of us in the home and we had lots of room. We have mainly stayed near the seawall area in Galveston for quick trips, so did not expect to find an area like this. We felt like we were at a resort, somewhere far away. Owners were most accommodating and great communicators. We can't wait for an opportunity to go back. The 5 TV's may be a bit of a stretch-- there were 2 large nice ones, but the others were a bit on the small size. Otherwise great experience!

Count the Views was a wonderful home to stay at in Galveston. The house was exactly as described. Ten of us stayed at the house for 4 nights and we were all very comfortable and had plenty of room for the kids to play. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were extremely comfortable. The walk to the beach was short and as always, the Pointe West beach was well groomed. We have stayed at several houses in this community and this was our favorite house by far. We would highly recommend this property!

We enjoyed our time at Count the Views. There were five adults and children ranging from 5 to 17 yrs. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was helpful and answered our questions. The access to the beach is very good. I would recommend this property to a friend and relative. Point West Beach Club is also very nice.

This was our family's first vacation with all of our children and grandchildren. It was such a blast! The house was perfect for us! The location couldn't be better. We want to go back next year for sure!

We had 2 large families stay at this home and we loved it. Great for families with lots of kids. Lots of room and we loved the 2 balconies. Kitchen is well stocked. We used both pools a lot, they are nice when you need a break from the ocean. Beach club has a bar/grill that was pretty good. We set up our beach chairs and umbrella on the first day and just left them on the beach the whole week so it was nice not carrying them back and forth each day, and no one messed with them. Alex Seafood Market is not far away, we got fresh seafood everyday. The home owner was easy to work with and I would recommend this home to others.

Count the Views was an incredible home to stay in while we were on vacation in Galveston! The home was very clean, spacious, kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. We loved the balconies as well as the downstairs patio area. This house was literally right across the street from the beach walkover and just a very short drive away from either pool at Pointe West. Our family will definitely go back to Count the Views for our next Galveston get-away! Highly recommend this property and the owner was extremely helpful and kind. Great for families! On a side note - there were NO mosquitoes!

Fall Texas Vacation

Our family stayed 5 days in this rental house the second week of October. The weather was awesome and warm and NO ONE was on the beach except our family and some sea birds. I have a 2 and 3 yr old and this house was great for them. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs, so our whole family stayed on one level the 4th bedroom is on the main level. The kitchen table is on tile to make for easy clean up. We were coming from out of state and brought some toys with us. There were some beach toys in the closet next to the garage and we left some there too. I would bring some toys for house for the little ones and a movie or two. The beach was an easy, short, walk for my 3yr old, but the 2 yr old we had to carry. The pools were unheated, but the weather was still warm the pools were warm. The pool at the far end of the resort was a little dirty from the winds and the trees dropping trees. This was a colder spot, because of the wind. The pool at the main desk was great. There is a shower head with warm water at the garage level for rinsing off the sand. My only recommendation is to take A LOT of mosquito spray. When we would pull put into driveway, the mosquitos would start to swarm the car and we had to scramble into the house so the kids wouldn't get bit up. It was fine on the beach and on the porches. over all, this was a great place to stay and we would come back and stay again if it worked out.

Great Vacation

We stayed at Count the Views for a week, three families with small children. The location is perfect, only a few steps away to the beach walkover, the views are beautiful from the upstairs balcony. The house has a great layout, very clean plus the kitchen is well stocked! We highly recommend Count The Views, we plan to go back in 2011!

We stayed at the house for 1 week with a total of 11 people and it was a fantastic week! The house is great and in a great location. A simple walk to the beach which we enjoyed every day with the great weather. Spent a lot of time on the balcony as well with the wonderful ocean breeze. The 4 kids in our group loved finding "creatures" on the beach. Would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to stay as close to the beach as possible with all the luxurys of home. We had a wonderful time and highly recommend Count the Views for families. We shared the home with friends and enjoyed the open layout on the main level and the wonderful veranda. The kitchen was very well appointed. We spent most of our time inside due to the weather and never felt cramped. The beach was just a short walk away. Thanks so much! We will definitely keep it in mind for our next vacation.

This home is even better than described! We stayed five nights and did not want to leave. We never even went into Galveston because Pointe West was so fun and the house so comfortable, well equipped and close to the beach. We enjoyed having half our family group close by in the home across the street too.

Count the Views was wonderful. The home was decorated and furnished beautifully. This was a great house for our 3 families with children. Our family had enough room to spread out and enjoy ourselves. We loved the fact that there were pools and the lazy river. I would highly recommend staying at this home. The price is right and well worth it.

Count the Views was as good as advertised. The house was a very short walk to the beach and a short drive to the Pointe West swimming pool. The beach and the pool kept our kids active and happy for days and the spacious deck was very relaxing for the adults at night.

We've just returned from a 10 day stay at Count The Views and it was fabulous. The weather, the house, the views, the beach, the pool, the lazy river, beach club, the Galveston attractions and restaurants (especially seafood). The house was perfect with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths for each of the families to have their privacy when wanted as well as the family areas were large enough for us to all be together when we wanted. The rooms were very spacious, not crowded. The baths and closet space were very ample. The two decks were a real plus with several gorgeous views from many angles. The July 4th fireworks display from many sights lasted well over an hour and were spectacular. We all just sat on the deck and enjoyed. You will not be disappointed with this Pointe West house and location to everything. We loved all of it. Great family vacation.
