Riverside cabin on the famous Florida river. Just 15 minutes east of Durango off Highway 240. This cabin is literally on the rivers edge. You can't get any closer than this. The large deck extends to the waters edge. Sit back, relax and enjoy mother natures best feature, running water. Nothing is more relaxing.
This Cabin sits on 1 acre of private land with running water on 3 sides. There is 280 feet of river frontage with a side stream to the back of the property. There is also a community owned island adjacent to the property that is surrounded by the river and accessible by bridge for the kids to play on and fish from.
The Master bedroom is furnished with a king size, custom Aspen log bed and night stands. A full bath and shower downstairs. The upstairs has a reading loft with one bedroom and full bathroom with sleeping for 4. A queen size bed, a single bed with pull out trundle. The couch also folds out to a double bed.
This house is my personal getaway so it is fully stocked. The kitchen has all the utensils and cooking gadgets you might need including spices and basic cooking ingredients. Linens and towels are provided including soap and shampoo. Full size washer and dryer with detergent and spray n wash. Free local and long distance calls and a fax machine. TV, stereo and DVD player with Direct TV cable provided. High speed internet.

We stayed at this home in June of 2011. It was clean, the kitchen was well-appointed with gadgets and things I needed, and the space was perfect for our family of four. The sound of the river was peaceful and enchanting, and the fact that our dog was welcome made it a true family vacation. Beware of the summer cottonwoods "snowing" upon you on the deck! We would definitely choose this home again.
Recommended for:Pet owners, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

For our family of four (including 2 boys) it was perfect. Enjoyed the wonderful deck that went right next to the river. The boys even caught fish right in front of the cabin! We were able to enjoy the peace offered by the cabin, and yet were not far from so many fun activities...Durango/Silverton train, Hundred Gold Mine Tour, Mesa Verde and river rafting. Perfect!
Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Chris, we had an awesome time in Durango and loved our stay in your cabin. We were very comfortable and really hated to leave. The river rushing by off the deck provided the constant background sound to our time in the cabin--very relaxing! My husband fished some every day we were there and caught a bunch of trout, though we kept none. We highly recommend going on a Soaring Treetop Adventure in conjunction with the Durango Silverton Railroad. Tons of fun! Thanks, and we hope to be back maybe next year! We had a fantastic time staying in this house. The relaxing environment is just out of the world: just what you need to rest & relax your mind from gruelling corporate schedule. The view of the rapids on the river from the deck is awesome. This was one of the best vacations that my family had.
