We've vacationed in this area for years. While building our own log cabin, we stayed in Dogwood several times and found it to be most comfortable. When the owners moved out of town, we volunteered to help them with cleaning and maintenance of Dogwood. The fit was perfect! When the opportunity presented itself for us to purchase Dogwood, we knew we wanted to make it our own. Now we care for it as our own home, so that our clients can have a comfortable, fabulous home away from home.

After being in the business world for over 40 years, Ralph and I decided it was time "to do something different." So...we sold our businesses, built a log home, packed our bags & moved from north MS to Hendersonville. Sometimes while sitting on the deck enjoying the mountain views, we feel as if we need to pinch ourselves to make sure we're not dreaming.
We enjoy riding our Harley through the mountains on a sunny day, visiting with our new friends, exploring the area for new adventures and just sitting on the front porch watching the hummingbirds and various other birds - blue birds, especially. Call it retirement or unemployment...we'll never be bored here!

This is by far one of the nicest vacation homes we have ever rented. Owners, Cheri and Ralph, are wonderful. Upon arrival we were greeted to Christmas decorations, music playing and a Holiday Welcome treat. The home is immaculate, beds very comfortable and kitchen one of the best supplied we have ever seen! The photos do not really give it as much justice as it deserves. We stayed for a month during the Christmas Holidays and were in an easy drive to everything, Downtown Hendersonville with great shops and restaurants, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Home and Grove Park Inn in Asheville and the entire regional area. The large fenced backyard is perfect for children and pets. We have rented many homes across the country, big and small and various prices BUT this is a must rental! You will not be disappointed and we HIGHLY Recommended this property.

Our family, people and furry children, thoroughly enjoyed Dogwood Cabin! We spent a week resting, relaxing, seeing the sights, recharging our batteries. Our dogs loved the fenced backyard, running up and down the yard and the stairs, chasing balls, frisbees and each other! You even added a crock pot at my request, and now I have a new and fabulous recipe for pulled pork! We love everything about the cabin; you've really created a lovely and inviting place to stay while enjoying the beautiful mountains, towns, and people of North Carolina. I got some beautiful photos of sunrise from the front porch to remind me of just how much I love this place!

As soon as we stepped in, we felt relaxed and at home. It was clean, comfortable, and accommodating! The pet-friendly touches were heart warming and the hot tub was a wonderful end to each day. The beds were comfortable and clean. All of the dish ware, glasses, etc seemed like they were new. My only criticism (and this could totally be my husband and I's lack of techno-savvy ) would be to leave instructions on how to get the DVD player to work. No big deal :) I would totally recommend this place to friends & family! Thanks for being such a great experience!

"Love the Cabin! It's just the right size for the two of us and the dogs, and it has just about every amenity we could want. The TVs in both bedrooms were a nice touch, as were the tray tables, Wi-Fi, and a recliner (beware: once you lie down on it, you may never want to et back up!). The fenced in backyard was very convenient for letting the dogs out. All in all, a most relaxing long weekend for all of us. Thank You!"

My husband and I rented the cabin for a nice peaceful weekend. Wow! We didn't want to leave. The cabin was furnished way above my expectations. Every detail was thought out. It is extremely hard to find an upscale accommodation that caters towards pets. This brand new cabin is immaculate and tastefully decorated. Downtown Hendersonville was also a neat little town to discover. And Asheville is a only a short drive away. We give it a 10. Thanks for a great getaway.

Welcome to DOGwood Retreats. We welcome all to our brand new, upscale-model log cabin. We cater to all. For the dog, we have a fenced in 1/2 acre yard and dog beds and bowls. For our guest we have plush beds, flat screen TV's and hot tub. Luxury and relaxation at it's finest. We can accomodate your needs.
