In terms of rental experiences, I cannot possibly imagine a better one. Working with the owner was a breeze -- very attentive, prompt and flexible. She answered all of my e-mails with questions about the house almost instantaneously, and got my security deposit back to me less than 24 hours after we left the house. Even better, she was incredibly flexible with check-in and check-out times (we got into the house at 3 PM but it was ready at 10 AM, and she had no problem with us pushing back check-out a few hours). The house itself is gorgeous. Large, open great room with a huge dining table, couches, and a TV. Great stereo system. The kitchen is perfect and has everything you need. Outside there is a patio with a grill over-looking the bay. Upstairs there are 4 large bedrooms, as well as a seemingly endless supply of pull-out beds so that everyone in my large group had a comfortable place to sleep. Great view of the bay off of 3 of the four balconies. The neighborhood surrounding the house is a little run-down, but we never felt unsafe, and it was easy to get cabs to take us into downtown AC. All in all, I would highly recommend this house for any sort of large gathering -- family reunion, bachelor/bachelorette party, or just a get-together with friends.

Very spacious house on the bay. easily sleeps over 10 people. If your not looking to be stuck in the hotels all weekend I'd highly recommend this house. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Great stay - Labor Day Weekend

Every year for the past 7 years, a group of 10 guys head to A.C. on Labor Day weekend. This year we found this house to stay in and it was perfect!! Plenty of space to relax and hang out. Whether it was the very open living room with very comfortable sofas and a table setting for 10 or the back yard. The back patio and small yard against the water are perfect for grilling out or just hanging out with friends. Rooms were spacious and additional rollout cots were plentiful. The location is a little skeptical, but that's the case anywhere in A.C. if you don't stay right on the boardwalk. However, we had no problems and it was actually relatively quiet. A quick 10 min. cab ride gets to both the Borgata or the Boardwalk. This house is a great place to stay and not let you lose all your $$$ in the casinos. :-) The owners were a pleasure to work with...very responsive, extremely nice and my security deposit was returned the day after our departure date. Thank you Debbie!!!

Cottage by the Sea ~ Great fun!

My stay at the Cottage bt the sea was a great one. The open floor plan from kitchen to livingroom and to the dining area made it welcoming for the multiple people we had in our group. There was a great view of downtown Atalantic City at night and downtown was within walking distance. We walked it for excerise. The boardwalk and shopping is minutes away by car. With all the comforts of home and minutes to the Boardwalk this place was a great place to rent!!!!

Cottage by the Sea- Amazing!

My experience at the Cottage by the Sea was a completely positive one. Debbie was so sweet and very helpful, the house was EXACTLY as described....right on the water, great view, huge house with lots of room, beautiful finished kitchen equipped with all necessary appliances. Our stay was great! I would highly recommend it!

Our Bunko group stayed here in April for a ladies weekend. We found the home to have everything that we needed. It was comfortable and beautiful, lots of living space. We totally enjoyed soaking up the sun on the decks, as well as the bay view. The owners were very easy to contact. The home is just a taxi drive away from the boardwalk and casinos. We had a wonderful weekend!

Great home in Atlantic City

My wife and I stayed here for three nights along with our young children and one othe couple. We very much enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. We were in Atlantic City on business and were pleased that this home was less than 10 minutes to the Convention Center (and close to the casinos as well). The house was clean and very well maintained. We enjoyed the use of the outdoor grill and the entire family enjoyed sitting on the deck together watching the sun set over the water. The photos capture the house well; there were no surprises. We would certainly go back.

Great place tucked away on a quiet bay but just five minutes from the casinos and nightlife. Clean, modern, roomy house, perfect for girls getaway weekend. Recommended.

Had a dozen of us up for a golf/birthday trip and everything was perfect. House easily held the 12 of us with room to spare. Grilled out on the back patio several nights, did some fishing off the back dock,j ust a great experience. Great kitchen and living room for hanging out, watching games, etc. Convenient to all casinos and AC attractions Would definitely go back again. Thanks Marc and Debbie!!

Rented the house for a bachelor party weekend. Was totally perfect for our purposes - plenty of space, great views, fun porches, new and comfortable amenities. Was slightly concerned about the location at first (AC has some unsavory sections) but ultimately turned out to be absolutely fine. Would highly recommend for similar types of get togethers.

The house was very clean upon arrival and comfortably slept 11 adults with a few cots to spare. great location on the bay with a nice backyard and porch, perfect for grilling and hanging out. Kitchen and family room were also very nice, easily capable of sitting all 11 of us. Borgata is a 5 minute drive away. We had a great time and the house couldn't have been better. We will definitely come back when we're in Atlantic City again.

How was awesome. Pictures did not do it justice. Slept 13 comfortably with plenty of beds and roll-away beds. Just minutes from the strip which you could see lit up at night. Would definitely stay again. Marc and Deb (owners) were awesome too. They were very accomodating, even getting the grill ready for us in mid-February. Nothing but compliments here. Looking forward to next time!

This house was absolutely wonderful!!! I came here with seven couples for NYE and we had a blast! Everything in the house is brand new, well kept, there is a beautiful view of the casinos from the deck, and the living room and kitchen area are very spacious. The house exceeded my expectations and everyone had a great time!

RIGHT on the water, the sunset views were just wonderful. The house was just great and it was especially good for our large group. The kitchen is new and open to the great room and it had great appliances, new and high end. Loads of utensils, plates, glassware and the like and not a hodge-podge of what made it to the beach from home either, but nice stuff. The whole place is nicely and smartly appointed. The great room has an HD flat TV mounted above a gas fireplace and big, comfy furniture. There's a big table with 10 chairs and it is surrounded by windows overlooking the bay. The back porch and patio are just steps to the bay waters and the porch has very nice teak furnture. Big grill on the patio. . . . Would rent the place again next week if I could swing it at the office.

Myself and about 13 of my girlfriends stayed at the house the weekend of October 2 – 4, 2009 for my bachelorette party. I found the house on vrbo and my best friend took care of the arrangements with renting the house. It was so much fun. The minute we walked into the house we couldn’t believe how amazing everything was. The kitchen/great room was perfect for our large group. Everyone had a place to sleep. Everyone was comfortable. The views are awesome. We took pictures on Saturday night before we went out on the back deck with the strip lights behind us…awesome! We used the grill for dinner and it was great. The master bedroom & bathroom are amazing! Everything was awesome. We called a taxi bus to come get us and drive us to the borgata which was only a 5 minute ride. We had a really great stay! The house made my bachelorette weekend awesome! We got so much more for our money than if we had stayed at a hotel. Highly recommend!

I stayed for a long weekend this summer. The owners where great! The house was immaculate. We slept 12 comfortably. It was less than a $10 cab ride to the Borgata. The dock on the bay really makes it. I would recommend it to anyone! We had a great time.

Cottage By the Sea was the perfect spot for our weekend golf outing. The house was immaculate there was plenty of room for everyone. Quick cab ride to casinos and golf courses were pretty close also. The owner's went above and beyond what I expected during the whole rental process. I would strongly recommend staying at The Cottage by the Sea.

Recently rented here for labor day weekend and it was perfect. Great amount of space, stocked with everything we needed and very comfortable. Clean and easy to deal with all around. The back deck was a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the weather. We slept over 15 people quite comfortably with the cots and couches.

I was looking for a large, well furnished home; capable of accommodating 14 guys for a weekend. After spending hours searching through the potential listings I found the gem that is "Cottage By the Sea." I was definitely both impressed and happy upon entering the foyer. The house was tastefully decorated, clean, open, with tons of natural light. We all immediately felt comfortable. I was really amazed that we were able to sleep 14 people comfortably - the house definitely had room for more. The grill came in handy. The banquet table was perfect for late night poker. In fact, we were so happy with the house, we spent more time playing cards there than in the casinos. I'm positive that I'll be renting from Debbie the next time I bring a group to Atlantic City. Excellent house and excellent overall service.

I was looking for a place where 10 guys could stay comfortably for a weekend in Atlantic City and I couldn't have made a better selection. From the get go, Debbie was a dream to work with. Every question I had was answered with the utmost expediency and she even let us gain access to the property early as a result of our travel plans. The house itself is beautiful. There is ample space for a large group to congregate and relax, both inside and out. It was the perfect place for us to grill, eat, watch sports and relax during the day before heading out at night. A cab only cost $12 to the strip (less to the Borgata I think) and you can even get a limo (which we did both nights) to come pick you up for about $5 per person. Also, the sleeping arrangements were even better than I expected. With 5 beds and 6 hotel-style fold out cots, none of us had to share a bed. I would absolutely stay at the Cottage by the Sea again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful group accommodation. Thank you Debbie for allowing us to stay in your gorgeous house. It made for the perfect weekend.

The house was beautiful with a fantastic open kitchen/great room occupying the first floor. Great for a large group of people to hang out together and interact. Large back deck with a nice yard on an inlet with great views of the casino skyline and gorgeous sunsets. We also used the boat and canoe. The house was comfortable and really clean with plenty of beds and an additional 5-6 cots to accomodate extra people. 5 minutes to the Borgata/Harrahs, nobody in our party had anything remotely negative to say about the house! Well done and worth the money. thanks!

This is a lovely home with beautiful amenities. We spent New Years Eve here and had a wonderful time with our friends. The view is gorgeous, and the fireplace is warm and cozy. Everything about this place was great, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a rental in the area. Taxis to the Tropicana were very affordable, only $10! It is a short drive away from the outlets, and the view of the Atlantic City skyline at night is beautiful.

This house is beautiful! We had between 10 and 12 people there throughout the weekend and everyone had a place to sleep. The back deck is unbelievable! We stayed out there all weekend. We even took the boat and canoe out. Everyone had a blast and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations.

This was my first time in Atlantic City and definetley not the last! The house was absolutely amazing--beautiful views and beautifully decorated. The balcony views were great--so relaxing!! I stayed in this house for a weekend and I am already planning to stay for a week next summer. Close drive to the beaches and nightlife. Everything was great!!!

I and the rest of the guys who stayed at the house would like to thank you and your husband for allowing us to spend the weekend at such a wonderful place!. We all had an amazing time and enjoyed everything from the scenery, the cool weather on the patios, the tv which allowed us to watch the subway series, and the comfortable beds.. We went home yesterday and bragged to everyone about the amazing "Blue Heron"!! I hope that you found everything in the same condition you provided to us in. We cleaned up after ourselves (our wives still don't believe how a house of men did that).. and we even left behind some steak knives for future renters. We will definitely look into re-renting at future events, vacations, and trips!! We absolutely loved it!! And if anyone ever asks for a great place to stay in Atlantic City, the Blue Heron will be the FIRST place mentioned!.
