I stayed here with a big group of friends from all over the country. The house was absolutely gorgeous and comfortable, and made our reunion even more special. Margaret was friendly and easy to deal with, and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. One thing the pictures don't show is how beautiful the nearby beach and grassy dunes are-- stunning, and very private. We saw a big herd of elk during our stay. We are hoping to stay here again next year!

We are wrapping up a wonderful week at the Oregon coast in Surf Pines. The home is exceptional. The view is awesome from the whole upper level, including an expansive deck. Very up to date furnishings, plenty of space and comfortable beds. We would highly recommend staying here.

Margaret, thanks again for the opportunity to stay in your beautiful beach house. We all had a great time! Once a year our family gets together and this year we decided to go down the coast together. It was so nice to spend time in your lovely home. The pictures didn't do it justice. It was cozy, clean, lots of space for everyone, and the view was so beautiful and peaceful. The kids loved the beach, building a fire and eating marshmallows/s'mores at the beach, seeing the deers in the yard and just spending lots of time together. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

Fabulous Thanksgiving getaway

This was such a beautiful setting and home, we were lucky to find it. Lots of room, beautiful view, and nice quiet neighborhood. Margaret was so easy and nice to deal with... very helpful and available at any time we needed her, although we didn't need to call. This was so much nicer than renting a condo or hotel room - it was homey and perfect in every way!

Great Group Housing

10 of us stayed here for a 3 day weekend over Halloween in order to take part in a cyclocrosss race in Astoria. House is large with lots of bedding options and comes equipped with everything you could possibly need. Great for a large group with nice common area which flows into the kitchen. Nice quiet location with a great ocean view as well. Pictures on website accurately depict conditions. Owner quickly emailed me back with questions I had. We will stay here again next year!

Great Oregon Trip

Our family (ourselves and 4 children, 3 of them married with children) wanted to find a place on the northern Oregon coast for a weeklong vacation. This home fit the bill because each family could have their own bedroom. The description matched the home perfectly and things couldn't have worked out better. Margaret was great to work with and showed genuine concern and interest in our plans and experience. She called a couple of times while we were there just to make sure everything was working out. Watching the sunset from the back deck was a real treat and we actually did see some deer bedding down in the back yard. We had a great trip and the grandkids still rave about their trip to Oregon.

Lovely home. The kitchen and dining/living areas were ideal for relaxing and visiting either one on one or in larger groups and all of the beds were very comfortable - even the bunkbeds! We also enjoyed the spacious deck which made for lazy afternoons with great views. The highlight though was a collection of older family photos along the walls and in a few albums. We all agreed the photos depicted a fun-looking family who would no doubt have been fun to hang out / know. We'd definitely stay there again.

College Sorority Reunion

Stayed at the house for a college sorority reunion. It was the perfect place for the 8 of us! It was so comfortable and homey. Very clean and well-equipt. Great view of the ocean and the parasailors. Nice walk to the beach over the grassy dunes. Thanks Margaret and Scott for sharing your home with us! We loved staying there.

Home within walking distance of gorgeous beach

Our grandchildren loved collecting sand dollars and flying kites on the beach. The home is quiet and a little remote from town. The floor plan worked well for our family with three generations: grandparents, children and grandchildren, with an open floor plan and the master bedroom on the upper level and other bedrooms on the lower level.

Oregon Coast Vacation

We had a West Coast family gathering - with a few Michigandrs added. It was a wonderful place to be able to be together all in the same place. We had an amazing New Years 2010 at this beautiful beach home. There were 12 of us and we all enjoyed the spacious, comfortable layout, and being cooks, were overjoyed by the incredibly well equipped kitchen! The artwork, decorations and furniture are not only beautiful but inviting and luxurious! So peaceful and relaxing and close to the beach, we were again surprised by the incredible beauty of the landscape along the pathway to the ocean. What a treat! Thank you Margaret and Scott! We'll be back!

We had such a wonderful time in this gorgeous home. It was very comfortable and accommodated our family nicely. The view is spectacular with the huge deck, and everything you need to make your vacation awesome, is provided! The home's location is away from the hustle and bustle so you can enjoy the quiet, but within minutes you can shop in Seaside or eat at Cannon Beach. Especially "special" is that the artwork in the house is done by the owner, and you can buy it!! We bought a beautiful painting right off the wall! Stay here - you'll love it!

Our family rented this house the week of 4th of July. We had kids from 1 to 17 who all had a blast with the beach so close and the huge backyard. We all had one of the most relaxing vacations in a long time. The house was great, it was very clean and comfortable for my family of 4, my parents and my sister's family of 5. There were deer in the yard everyday and we saw elk several times also. The view of the ocean was awesome too! It was great to sit out on the deck to watch the sunsets over the ocean every night. We consider this our vacation home and hope to visit again in the future!

Our family rented their home for an artists retreat week this past December. We enjoyed the very comfortable home with access to great beach views & walks. We saw all kinds of birds and animals along with a gray whale! Terrific location for access to Astoria and Cannon Beach.

We have held a small family wedding and a family Thanksgiving at this great beach house. It has a large kitchen, perfect for multipule cooks, with a beautiful view for inspiration. The large upstairs bedroom was perfect for the grandparents (no stairs to negotiate) and the lower level comfortably accomodated the remainng eight of us. The main room upstairs easily fit the whole crew, lots of room to relax, read, play games, and enjoy the beautiful ocean view. The yard facing the ocean, surounded by sea pines and sea grass was a beautiful setting for a family wedding. Lots of space to set up tables, and for people to gather. We plan on returning many times with our family to continue our tradition of gathering on the Oregon Coast at this great beach house.

Our extended family enjoyed a beautiful and relaxing Thanksgiving at this lovely beach house. We turned over the master bedroom, with its own bath and ocean view, to the grandparents so they wouldn't have to climb any stairs. The rest of the family (eight of us) used the comfortable lower level. Thanksgiving dinner was easy to prepare in the well stocked kitchen. It was large enough for multiple cooks with a beautiful view for inspiration. The living/dining room, with great art work and comfy furniture, easily accommodated all of us. We held a small summer wedding here on the large lawn area with the ocean sparkling in the distance. The day was beautiful and the wedding a great success. We love coming here and plan many return trips.

My family rented this house for a week in Aug and enjoyed it very much. It is a wonderful place to stay in a quite gated community. A short walk to the beach, a short drive to Seaside or Astoria and just minutes to vehicle beach access. We all had a great time playing games and my boys loved seeing all the wild animals while they were out exploring.
