The condo was large and comfortable, and we were so pleased to be able to use the beach chairs, towels, and coolers for our trips around the island. The grounds were lovely and well-maintained, and the beach IS really steps away. We also liked the central location, an easy base to travel to the different parts of the island. We'll definitely return.

Thank you so very much for giving us such a beautiful place to stay! the condo was perfect in everyway! We absolutely loved Maui and hope we can come back again. We loved snorkeling Molokini and even out on our own beach! :-). The road to Hana wasn't as scary as the road past Lahaina. Wished we would've seen Paia sooner, cute little town. Ate & shopped way to much!!! Make sure to see as much of the island as possible, it's amazing how different it is around every corner. Aloha & Mahalo.

It feels so welcoming and I was so grateful for all the kids sand toys and beach gear for us. I loved the accents and aloha spirit here. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and more. Our "Staycation" here was amazing! There are no words to explain how immaculate this unit was. Thank you Stephanie for accommodating us at the last minute. Unfortunately we had to work and the kids had school so we didn't spend too much time her, but when we did, it was just like home. You guys have thought of everything. Never have we stayed at someplace that is so well equipped. We have decided that we want to make this our Bi-yearly staycation place!!! A Hui Hou!

What a wonderful place to stay! the condo is great and feels like home. We liked being centrally located and can easily travel to Lahaina or Kihei, Wailea & Makena. I was worried that 10 days would be to long to vacation, but found that 10 days is perfect. We have 4 in our group-myself, my husband our 17 year old daughter and her 17 year old friend. The condo was roomy enough for the 4 of us and served as a great home base. We walked the beach daily, collected shells.

This condo was fabulous! My husband and I traveled Novemember1-10th bringing our 17 year old daughter and her friend with us. This was our daughters first visit to the islands and she fell in live with island living. The condo was comfortable and conveniently located to both ends of the island. We loved our beach where we spent much of out time. The gounds were beautiful and the pool was nice and quiet. This was the first 10 day vacation I have taken, and I wasn't sure I could do it-I tend to get ansy and have a hard time slowing down, but I was not ready to leave 10 days later. I am looking forward to another 10 days this Fall. I highly recommend Makani A Kai~Unit B-8

We cannot say how much we appreciated our stay here! We visited Haleakala, Hana, Makena State Park (beautiful water colors!) and are going out by driving the West Maui loop today. We also enjoyed the Pacific Whale Foundation's Sunset Dinner Cruise, Old Lahaina Luau, Snorkeling Molokini, and we guys did our first ever scuba dive. We have been moved by the beauty that is Maui, and I believe long after other memories fade, our wonderful experiences here will remain fresh in our minds. June 19, 2011 This condo is the coziest place on earth!! Many people might find this place quite small, but I find this place perfect. It is so well decorated and it is in the most relaxing place you can think of! They supply everything you need except quarters for laundry and food to eat. Also keep in mind that the floor board may not be so sound-proof so remember not to stomp around. If you are craving shave ice go to yelp.com or yelp on your iphone or mobile device, look up "Annie's Shaved ice' and if you wanna surf go to the "Royal Surf Acadamy" :-) !! Enjoy!!

Hale Moma 2 bedroom Condo Review

We stayed in Hale Moma 8 nights during March 2011. From our arrival to our departure we had nothing but an excellent experience in this condo. The furnishings, beds, kitchenwares, were all top quality, with no detail overlooked. The many "extras" gave the condo a very personal touch. I mean the items that are not necessarily provided when one rents a condo. Items like, great quality folding beach chairs, boogie board, large beach towels, excellent guide books, fast internet, and many more. We never tried the A/C, since the breezes flowed through the unit quite nicely, with the help of ceiling fans in most rooms. The BBQ gas grills were maintained in a spotless condition, every day. Of course, everything in and out was spotless. The pool, which no one seemed to use, was also kept perfectly clean. We loved long walks on the beach each morning. I was surprised at how deserted it was nearly all of the time. This is a great location, if you want to be out of the tourist craziness of Kihei and Lahaina. The jaunt over to Kahului and Wailuku was just a few minutes, so, from this location, we could take advantage of some of the more "off the tourist circuit" restaurants and shopping. This property is very professionally maintained and managed. I would recommend it to anyone, except those seeking lots of action out the door. This is a quiet complex; which was just what we were looking for!

What a wonderful internet find! The condo was truly a home away from home on our stop-over on Maui after three years in Seol, South Korea, in route to the USA. The amenities in the condo, the location, & the hospitality shown by Stephanie & Ron, The resident manager made this the perfect vacation. Our favorites included " Beach Bums" (restaurant bar across from the local marina), Kaanapali Beach (by the Sheraton Hotel), Big Beach, an afternoon in the Iao Valley (short hike, paved paths, beautiful scenery & views), and a visit to the National Marine Sanctuary to hear about the Humpback Whale (in Kihei, lectures on Tuesdays & Thursdays at 11:00 a.m.) We are so happy to have found Makani A Kai & look forward to many return visits. A very memorable trip! Your condo is very comfortable and located so beautifully by the ocean...I fell asleep and woke listening to the waves. I took the whale watching trip at the Marina and saw many "moms & babies" and the magnificient experience of viewing a breaching whale! WOW! Brooklynn had difficult decisions to make...did she want to go swimming or build sand castles? Life is difficult for a two year old. The trade winds kept it cool enough to sleep well. We enjoyed just relaxing as well as sight seeing. The aquarium was fascinating for Brooklynn. the younger set went "ziplining" and the elders met friends at the golf course for lunch. This is a very nice place to stay. The condos are grouped in four units each which gives it an intimate feel, not like the big resorts. The location is central and has easy access to the rest of the island. The Ocean Center is close and the beaches are great.

We had a lot of fun exploring Maui. and coming back to the condo just added to it! During our visit, we saw the sunrise and drove on the road to Hana, both of which were spectacular. Thank you so much for letting us have this experience! P.S. This was the coziest hous/condo we have ever been in! The decor tie's together perfectly! The beds and couches are soooo soft! Thank you for making our family feel right at home!
