We were very comfortable for our three day visit. We value our 'creature comforts'. Really great shower, comfortable bed, fireplace, ceiling fans and wonderful deck with quality furniture for reading and taking an afternoon nap. Peaceful location, great views, quiet neighborhood and very secure, We love the ability to open windows to let in fresh air; the Casita had great cross ventilation. Many lovely features. Would we select the Casita for a return visit? Yes, without hesitation.

This place is a must return to! It is beautiful,,,,,,,,landscaping and decor. Very comfortable, quiet and near everything. It's even nicer than the photos...very clean...and the on-site owner was nice and helpful. I highly reccomend!
Owner response:Thanks for the nice review. All of our guests treat the Casita with care and that goes a long way in keeping it really nice for everyone.

Absolutely charming and beautifully appointed space in a lovely setting. There is a graciousness about the entire arrangement. Definitely 5 star. It IS a bit of a walk to town and the beach and although my teenager didn't mind it, I only wanted to venture out once a day. We needed a car to get groceries.

San Diego is beautiful!!!! Encinitas is a charming beach town. I stayed in the casita for 4 days and it was more than I could have asked for. I was traveling on business and on this trip, I was going to be on the road for weeks. I wanted a place to feel like home. I was hesitant to rent a house since I always stayed in hotels. This casita was so charming! Everything in the casita was clean. The bed was comfortable and the rain shower is amazing!!!! It is a short drive to the beach. It has a great porch/patio where you can unwind and drink a glass of wine. You can find great fish tacos near by and eat a donut from VG's Bakery.
Owner response:Thanks so much. All of our guests have been wonderful and we are happy to be able to provide a clean & comfortable respite away from home. We especially appreciate the care given to our Casita which helps us to keep it very nice for everyone to enjoy.

My sister and I stayed here with our significant others Jan 2011 for a few days to run the Carlsbad Half Marathon. This is one of the best VRBO experiences we have ever had. The small 1 bedroom casita is LOVELY. Nice little touches like a welcome basket and nice extra linens made the stay even nicer! The owners were very good about contact but also gave us plenty of privacy. To be honest, it was like staying at a nice hotel. The rental quarters are separate from the house, above the garage. Never heard the owners. Great little courtyard and nice balcony with a grill. I am looking forward to staying here again!

The photographs of the casita were what initially intrigued me. How delightful to arrive and find that the place exceeded my expectations. Beautifully appointed, meticulously clean. Amazed and astonished to find a gift basket filled with fresh fruits, bottle of wine, chocolates and snacks; shampoos, bath gels and makeup wipes in the bathroom. As for the owners, I found them to be exceptional. Have already recommended the casita to friends and I greatly look forward to my next visit.
Owner response:We thank you and also look forward to your next visit.

I've rented this property twice while visiting my hometown, Encinitas. I love the location, tucked away from the heavy tourist hotel areas. It makes me feel as though I'm living back in Encinitas, rather than only visiting. The owners are very friendly and accommodating without being intrusive. If you're planning a trip to Encinitas and wanting a private solo or couple get-away spot, this is the place. I highly recommend this rental for all it's attributes: location, beautiful decor, privacy, property owners, comfortable surroundings, and property mascot, Henri the dog. A must stay!!!

The Casita is so well designed and appointed. We especially enjoyed Henri who came to visit daily. We enjoyed daily afternoon walks on the beach, coffee at local coffee shops and various local restaurants, but also cooked meals of local seafood and veggies here at the casita. We had a relaxing and thought provoking time. Thank you for the environment that gave us what we desired.

The Casita is beautiful and comfortable and we loved the warm days and cool nights here! Wish I could have surfed more, but we enjoyed doing other things instead - Torrey Pines was unreal! Thanks for the hospitality. Marie and Chelsea

The Casita is a fantastic Home Away from Home. I wish I could stay another 3 weeks. Maybe next time! Every friend who visited said they could live here! It's very comfortable and welcoming. Thank you for bringing the bike over so I could discover just how out of shape I am. Ha Ha:) Shannon
