This house was the perfect location to take my son to the North Pole Experience. It had enough space for 2 adults and a 2 year old. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed to cook our meals here. The house is located a 1/4 mile to a park which my son loved! It took maybe 15 mins to get to the Little America hotel where the north pole experience begins. It snowed 6.5 inches during our stay and we were grateful for whomever snowplowed the walkway and driveway. We will definitely be back!

Came up to celebrate Thanksgiving and snowboard with friends. Close to the MT and a short hop for a good day trip to Wupatki and Sunset Crater. Home was immaculate inside yet fireplace made it feel "homey" and relaxed. 2 car spacious garage was ideal for storing ski and snowboard gear in between trips to the MT without leaving gear on the vehicles. Two families with kids; kids enjoyed the backyard area which added a woodsy feel for us backcountry lovers. When we travel, which is often, we prefer to spend our money on the adventure rather than accommodations; this place was an incredible value with more than we are accustomed to at this price point. Expected it to be smaller.!I would stay here for any multi night stay return trip to Flag. Book here and rest assured you will be more than happy with your rental choice. Place just has a good vibe.

We had a fantastic stay in Flagstaff at the Mountain Retreat. So many things in the area are short to long drives away and it was so relaxing to come back to a home-like setting. Accommodations and amenities were perfect. Being able to do breakfast at home is a money and time saver. Location was excellent, very close to everything but felt far away when we were there. The major turn off to the property has 2 grocery stores (perfect for stocking up) and a good, low priced gas option which added to the convenience. I usually am not a review writer but had to write one because I highly recommend this property. Special touch I liked - ice packs in the freezer that were nice to be able to throw in the cooler for our days out.

This house was more than we had hoped it would be. My husband, myself and two other couples rented it while in town for a wedding. The house was set up for us to have everything we needed while in town. There was enough space for privacy, however the community space was great for everyone to hang out. We grilled out and used the kitchen daily. All around this house was perfect for a long weekend vacation.

Just a few things have to be said to show really how great this rental was: Very Clean You could tell the home was cared for and the owner cared for those renting it Everything that one would need when you are not at your own home was there ie pots and pans, paper towels, paper cups and paper plates along with glass cups and china, etc Really one of the best stocked with home amenities when it comes to rentals we have been to. There was no need to make a list of things you would need to make it a better stay besides the food you wanted to eat. Great patio with table and chair to play cards on with the kids. Fun short hiking right out the back door. Great "base camp" area as it was close to everything we wanted and centrally located to them all Single story - this is everything for a family with a new one learning to walk Wonderful place! Thanks Steve for letting us stay, The Family that enjoyed the higher altitude and weather

We have always had good experiences with our vacation rentals, but this one went above and beyond! Clean, spacious, well-maintained, with big comfy sofas and beds, this was the perfect quiet, cozy nest to return to after long days of hiking and sightseeing. The kitchen was well-appointed, and we appreciated the snack basket and the bag of ice in the freezer. There are other thoughtful touches throughout the house, like the internet connections, videos, etc. The supermarket is convenient, and the neighborhood was quiet and safe. All of our correspondence with Steve was answered promptly and efficiently, and Jen, the neighbor/caretaker was friendly and helpful. The house served as the perfect central home base to our exploration of the area, namely Grand Canyon, Sedona, Painted Desert, Monument Valley, Walnut Canyon, Page, and even the downtown area was attractive and lively. The driving was very pleasant, with the breathtaking views of the San Francisco peaks, desert views, and with notably little traffic and lack of the aggressive driving style that is so common here in the northeast. Our experience was the best ever, thanks to this wonderful rental house, and thanks to Steve!

We thoroughly enjoyed being able to stay at this home during our Flagstaff vacation! Everything was so clean and we had plenty of room for our family. It was nice to be able to spread out in so much space rather than being crammed into a hotel room. Our children enjoyed the welcome basket with snacks in them...what a nice, thoughtful touch. The kids especially enjoyed the three televisions with cable. Everyone could watch what they wanted! They also enjoyed the park that was in walking distance. I loved the full kitchen and all of the extras available for us to use...paper goods, a baby high chair, laundry supplies, bandaids, office supplies, plenty of linens, etc. Everything was so well organized and I also appreciated the helpful written instructions for operating the television, washer and dryer, etc. Another plus was how quickly Steve refunded our deposit. This was our first time renting a home for a vacation and we will do it again in the future. I would definitely recommend this home! Thank you to Steve and the couple that take care of this home for renting such a nice property to us!

This home was very roomy and clean. I have only stayed in a rental home once before and it was not clean. The reviews helped me to chose this home, but I was still a little anxious. So when we arrived any anxiety that I had, about having to clean before we could settle in, was immediately erased. The first day we had a problem with the toilet being backed up and plunging didn't help. I left a message for the managers that live next door and then left for the grocery store. When we came back the toilet had been fixed. Now that's service! At first we were concerned that the middle bedroom didn't have a window air conditioner like the other two bedrooms did. But we found a fan in the Master bedroom closet to draw the cool evening air into the room at night. We slept very comfortably, it wasn't anything like some of our warm humid Chicago evenings. My son has multiple food allergies/sensitivities so the spacious kitchen and roomy pantry were wonderful to have. I could prepare his meals and have some place to store all of his food along with everyone elses food. Everything was as described and Steve was very prompt in replying to any questions that I had previous to arrival. If ever in the area again I would not hesitate to rent this home.

After renting vacation homes and condos across the nation, we have to rate this one as one of the best! Great location, very cozy, excellent layout. We could not have asked for better customer service. The house was well stocked with linens, paper products, trash bags, and a great welcome basket with snacks and coffee. The house was spotless. Bathrooms and kitchen sparkled. We made the home as our base for day trips to Sedona, Oak Creek Canyon and the Grand Canyon. We also really enjoyed the downtown Flagstaff area. It kept drawing us back with its historic district and eclectic shops. Thanks for allowing us to use your home for one of our best vacations ever!

This was our first experience with Homeaway and it will not be the last. The house was wonderful and was very easy to find and was in a great location. Close to grocery store, resturants, shopping. Easy access to Interstate. Quiet neighborhood and nice deck to relax on. Steve was wonderful to work with and made everything very easy. So nice to come back from a long day of sightseeing and be able to relax and not deal with the hustle and bustle of a hotel. There was a wonderful basket of goodies waiting for us, which was great since we didn't get in till late at night. Thanks for everything Steve!!!!
